The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.

(053-3) Gott schaut vom Himmel auf die Menschenkinder herab, zu sehen, ob jemand so klug sei, daß er nach Gott frage.
Dios desde los cielos miró sobre los hijos de los hombres, por ver si hay algún entendido que busque á Dios.
God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.

(053-4) Doch alle sind abgewichen, allesamt verdorben, keiner ist, der Gutes tut, kein einziger!
Cada uno se había vuelto atrás; todos se habían corrompido: no hay quien haga bien, no hay ni aun uno.
Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

(053-5) Haben das die Übeltäter nicht erfahren, die mein Volk verschlingen, als äßen sie Brot? Gott aber riefen sie nicht an.
¿No tienen conocimiento todos esos que obran iniquidad? que comen á mi pueblo como si comiesen pan: á Dios no han invocado.
Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.

(053-6) Dort aber fürchteten sie sich, wo nichts zu fürchten war; denn Gott zerstreute die Gebeine deiner Belagerer; du machtest sie zuschanden; denn Gott verwarf sie.
Allí se sobresaltaron de pavor donde no había miedo: porque Dios ha esparcido los huesos del que asentó campo contra ti: los avergonzaste, porque Dios los desechó.
There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.

(053-7) Ach, daß aus Zion die Rettung für Israel käme! Wenn Gott die Gefangenschaft seines Volkes wendet, wird Jakob sich freuen und Israel fröhlich sein.
¡Oh quién diese de Sión saludes á Israel! En volviendo Dios la cautividad de su pueblo, gozarse ha Jacob, y alegraráse Israel.
Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
