Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
Listen to my prayer, God. Don’t hide yourself from my supplication.
Ponme atención y respóndeme. Mi angustia me tiene inquieto, y me quejo
Estáme atento, y respóndeme: clamo en mi oración, y levanto el grito,
Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
Attend to me, and answer me. I am restless in my complaint, and moan
por los gritos del enemigo, por la opresión de los malvados. Porque traen desgracia sobre mí, y me acosan con furia.
A causa de la voz del enemigo, por la opresión del impío; porque echaron sobre mí iniquidad, y con furor me han amenazado.
Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked. For they bring suffering on me. In anger they hold a grudge against me.
Mi corazón me duele en el pecho. Los terrores de la muerte han caído sobre mí.
Mi corazón está doloroso dentro de mí, y terrores de muerte sobre mí han caído.
My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
My heart is severely pained within me. The terrors of death have fallen on me.
El miedo y el temblor se han apoderado de mí. El pánico me ha abrumado.
Temor y temblor vinieron sobre mí, y terror me ha cubierto.
Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
Fearfulness and trembling have come on me. Horror has overwhelmed me.
Por eso dije: “¡Cómo quisiera tener alas como de paloma! Volaría lejos y encontraría descanso.
Y dije: ¡Quién me diese alas como de paloma! volaría yo, y descansaría.
And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
I said, “Oh that I had wings like a dove! Then I would fly away, and be at rest.
Huiría muy lejos de aquí. Me quedaría a vivir en el desierto”. Selah.
Ciertamente huiría lejos: moraría en el desierto. (Selah.)
Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
Behold, then I would wander far off. I would lodge in the wilderness.” Selah.
“Correría a buscar refugio de la tormenta y del viento fuerte”.
Apresuraríame á escapar del viento tempestuoso, de la tempestad.
I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
“I would hurry to a shelter from the stormy wind and storm.”
Destrúyelos, Señor, y confunde su lenguaje, porque solo veo violencia y peleas en la ciudad.
Deshace, oh Señor, divide la lengua de ellos; porque he visto violencia y rencilla en la ciudad.
Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
Confuse them, Lord, and confound their language, for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
Día y noche rondan por sus murallas. La maldad y el abuso reinan dentro de ella.
Día y noche la rodean sobre sus muros; é iniquidad y trabajo hay en medio de ella.
Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
Day and night they prowl around on its walls. Malice and abuse are also within her.
Las fuerzas destructivas dominan la ciudad. Las amenazas y las mentiras nunca se apartan de sus calles.
Agravios hay en medio de ella, y el fraude y engaño no se apartan de sus plazas.
Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
Destructive forces are within her. Threats and lies don’t depart from her streets.
Si un enemigo me insultara, yo podría soportarlo. Si el que me odia se levantara contra mí, yo podría esconderme de él.
Porque no me afrentó un enemigo, lo cual habría soportado; ni se alzó contra mí el que me aborrecía, porque me hubiera ocultado de él:
For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
For it was not an enemy who insulted me, then I could have endured it. Neither was it he who hated me who raised himself up against me, then I would have hidden myself from him.
Pero fuiste tú, un hombre como yo, mi compañero y mi mejor amigo.
Mas tú, hombre, al parecer íntimo mío, mi guía, y mi familiar:
But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.
But it was you, a man like me, my companion, and my familiar friend.
Juntos disfrutábamos de una dulce comunión. Caminábamos entre la multitud en la casa de Dios.
Que juntos comunicábamos dulcemente los secretos, á la casa de Dios andábamos en compañía.
We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.
We took sweet fellowship together. We walked in God’s house with company.
Que la muerte los tome por sorpresa. Que bajen vivos al Seol, porque la maldad habita entre ellos, en sus propios hogares.
Condenados sean á muerte, desciendan vivos al infierno: porque maldades hay en su compañía, entre ellos.
Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
Let death come suddenly on them. Let them go down alive into Sheol. For wickedness is among them, in their dwelling.
Pero en cuanto a mí, yo clamaré a Dios. Y Yahvé me salvará.
Yo á Dios clamaré; y Jehová me salvará.
As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.
As for me, I will call on God. The LORD will save me.
Tarde, mañana y mediodía lloro angustiado. Y él escuchará mi voz.
Tarde y mañana y á medio día oraré y clamaré; y él oirá mi voz.
Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
Evening, morning, and at noon, I will cry out in distress. He will hear my voice.
Él ha rescatado mi vida y me ha dado paz en la batalla que se libraba contra mí, aunque eran muchos mis enemigos.
El ha redimido en paz mi alma de la guerra contra mí; pues fueron contra mí muchos.
He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.
He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, although there are many who oppose me.
Dios, que reina para siempre, los escuchará y los pondrá en su lugar. Selah. Porque ellos no cambian su mala conducta ni tienen temor de Dios.
Dios oirá, y los quebrantará luego, el que desde la antigüedad permanece (Selah); por cuanto no se mudan, ni temen á Dios.
God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.
God, who is enthroned forever, will hear and answer them. Selah. They never change and don’t fear God.
Ese hombre levantó las manos contra sus propios amigos. Rompió su pacto de amistad.
Extendió sus manos contra sus pacíficos: violó su pacto.
He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
He raises his hands against his friends. He has violated his covenant.
Sus palabras eran más suaves que la mantequilla, pero en su corazón había guerra. Sus palabras eran más finas que el aceite, pero en realidad eran espadas desenvainadas.
Ablandan más que manteca su boca, pero guerra hay en su corazón: suavizan sus palabras más que el aceite, mas ellas son cuchillos.
The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.
His mouth was smooth as butter, but his heart was war. His words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords.
Entrégale tus cargas a Yahvé, y él te cuidará. Él no permitirá jamás que los justos tropiecen y caigan.
Echa sobre Jehová tu carga, y él te sustentará; no dejará para siempre caído al justo.
Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.
Cast your burden on the LORD and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.
Pero tú, oh Dios, arrojarás a los malvados al pozo de la destrucción. Los hombres asesinos y mentirosos no llegarán ni a la mitad de su vida, pero yo siempre confiaré en ti.
Mas tú, oh Dios, harás descender aquéllos al pozo de la sepultura: los hombres sanguinarios y engañadores no demediarán sus días: empero yo confiaré en ti.
But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.
But you, God, will bring them down into the pit of destruction. Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days, but I will trust in you.
