To the chief musician upon Jonathelemrechokim, by David, a Michtham, when the Philistines seized him in Gath. (56:2) Be gracious unto me, O God; for man longeth to swallow me up; all the time he oppresseth me fighting.
Al Músico principal: sobre La paloma silenciosa en paraje muy distante. Michtam de David, cuando los Filisteos le prendieron en Gath. TEN misericordia de mí, oh Dios, porque me devoraría el hombre: me oprime combatiéndome cada día.
Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.
Be merciful to me, God, for man wants to swallow me up. All day long, he attacks and oppresses me.
(56:3) Those that regard me with envy long to swallow me up all the time; for many are they that fight against me, O thou Most High.
Apúranme mis enemigos cada día; porque muchos son los que pelean contra mí, oh Altísimo.
Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.
My enemies want to swallow me up all day long, for they are many who fight proudly against me.
(56:4) The day when I am afraid, I will still trust in thee.
En el día que temo, yo en ti confío.
What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in you.
(56:5) In God will I praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid: what can flesh do unto me?
En Dios alabaré su palabra: en Dios he confiado, no temeré lo que la carne me hiciere.
In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
In God, I praise his word. In God, I put my trust. I will not be afraid. What can flesh do to me?
(56:6) All the day they wrest my words: against me are all their thoughts for evil.
Todos los días me contristan mis negocios; contra mí son todos sus pensamientos para mal.
Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.
All day long they twist my words. All their thoughts are against me for evil.
(56:7) They come together in troops, they hide themselves, they are those that watch my heels, as though they hoped to take my soul.
Reúnense, escóndense, miran ellos atentamente mis pasos, esperando mi vida.
They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.
They conspire and lurk, watching my steps. They are eager to take my life.
(56:8) Because of their wrongdoing let me escape from them: in anger cast down the people, O God.
¿Escaparán ellos por la iniquidad? Oh Dios, derriba en tu furor los pueblos.
Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God.
Shall they escape by iniquity? In anger cast down the peoples, God.
(56:9) My wanderings hast thou well numbered: put thou my tears into thy bottle; behold, they are numbered by thee.
Mis huídas has tú contado: pon mis lágrimas en tu redoma: ¿no están ellas en tu libro?
Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?
You count my wanderings. You put my tears into your container. Aren’t they in your book?
(56:10) Then shall my enemies retire backward on the day when I call on thee: this I knowthat God is for me.
Serán luego vueltos atrás mis enemigos el día que yo clamare: en esto conozco que Dios es por mí.
When I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
Then my enemies shall turn back in the day that I call. I know this: that God is for me.
(56:11) In God will I praise the word: in the Lord will I praise the word.
En Dios alabaré su palabra; en Jehová alabaré su palabra.
In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.
In God, I will praise his word. In the LORD, I will praise his word.
(56:12) In God have I put my trust; I will not be afraid: what can man do unto me?
En Dios he confiado: no temeré lo que me hará el hombre.
In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
I have put my trust in God. I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?
(56:13) Upon me, O God, rest thy vows: I will pay thanksgiving offerings unto thee.
Sobre mí, oh Dios, están tus votos: te tributaré alabanzas.
Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.
Your vows are on me, God. I will give thank offerings to you.
(56:14) For thou hast delivered my soul from deathyea, behold, my feet from slipping, that I may walk before God in the light of the life.
Porque has librado mi vida de la muerte, y mis pies de caída, para que ande delante de Dios en la luz de los que viven.
For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
For you have delivered my soul from death, and prevented my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living.
