Salmos 58

To the chief musician Al–tashcheth, by David, a Michtham. (58:2) Do you indeed, who are dumb, speak righteously? do ye judge in uprightness, O ye sons of men?

Al Músico principal: sobre No destruyas: Michtam de David. OH congregación, ¿pronunciáis en verdad justicia? ¿juzgáis rectamente, hijos de los hombres?

Do ye indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do ye judge uprightly, O ye sons of men?

Do you indeed speak righteousness, silent ones? Do you judge blamelessly, you sons of men?

(58:3) Even in your heart ye work injustice: on the earth do ye weigh out the violence of your hands.

Antes con el corazón obráis iniquidades: hacéis pesar la violencia de vuestras manos en la tierra.

Yea, in heart ye work wickedness; ye weigh the violence of your hands in the earth.

No, in your heart you plot injustice. You measure out the violence of your hands in the earth.

(58:4) The wicked are estranged from goodness from the womb: those who speak lies go astray from their very birth.

Enajenáronse los impíos desde la matriz; descarriáronse desde el vientre, hablando mentira.

The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.

The wicked go astray from the womb. They are wayward as soon as they are born, speaking lies.

(58:5) They have poison like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;

Veneno tienen semejante al veneno de la serpiente: son como áspide sordo que cierra su oído;

Their poison is like the poison of a serpent: they are like the deaf adder that stoppeth her ear;

Their poison is like the poison of a snake, like a deaf cobra that stops its ear,

(58:6) Which will not hearken to the voice of conjurers, yea, that of the wisest of all charmers.

Que no oye la voz de los que encantan, por más hábil que el encantador sea.

Which will not hearken to the voice of charmers, charming never so wisely.

which doesn’t listen to the voice of charmers, no matter how skillful the charmer may be.

(58:7) O God, break out their teeth in their mouth: the jaw–teeth of the young lions tear thou out, O Lord.

Oh Dios, quiebra sus dientes en sus bocas: quiebra, oh Jehová, las muelas de los leoncillos.

Break their teeth, O God, in their mouth: break out the great teeth of the young lions, O LORD.

Break their teeth, God, in their mouth. Break out the great teeth of the young lions, LORD.

(58:8) Let them melt away as water which runneth off: when each one bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as if cut in pieces.

Córranse como aguas que se van de suyo: en entesando sus saetas, luego sean hechas pedazos.

Let them melt away as waters which run continually: when he bendeth his bow to shoot his arrows, let them be as cut in pieces.

Let them vanish like water that flows away. When they draw the bow, let their arrows be made blunt.

(58:9) As a snail which melteth, let him pass away; like the untimely birth of a woman which hath not seen the sun.

Pasen ellos como el caracol que se deslíe: como el abortivo de mujer, no vean el sol.

As a snail which melteth, let every one of them pass away: like the untimely birth of a woman, that they may not see the sun.

Let them be like a snail which melts and passes away, like the stillborn child, who has not seen the sun.

(58:10) Before your pots can feel the thorns, will he take them away with a whirlwind, both the green and the burning.

Antes que vuestras ollas sientan las espinas, así vivos, así airados, los arrebatará él con tempestad.

Before your pots can feel the thorns, he shall take them away as with a whirlwind, both living, and in his wrath.

Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns, he will sweep away the green and the burning alike.

(58:11) The righteous will rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he will bathe his steps in the blood of the wicked.

Alegraráse el justo cuando viere la venganza: sus pies lavará en la sangre del impío.

The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance. He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked,

(58:12) So that a man shall say, Verily fruit will come for the righteous: verily there is a God that judgeth on the earth.

Entonces dirá el hombre: Ciertamente hay fruto para el justo; ciertamente hay Dios que juzga en la tierra.

So that a man shall say, Verily there is a reward for the righteous: verily he is a God that judgeth in the earth.

so that men shall say, “Most certainly there is a reward for the righteous. Most certainly there is a God who judges the earth.”
