Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.
Deliver me from my enemies, my God. Set me on high from those who rise up against me.
(059-3) Errette mich von den Übeltätern und hilf mir von den Blutgierigen!
Líbrame de los que obran iniquidad, y sálvame de hombres sanguinarios.
Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.
Deliver me from the workers of iniquity. Save me from the bloodthirsty men.
(059-4) Denn siehe, sie lauern auf mein Leben, Starke sammeln sich wider mich, o HERR, ohne mein Verschulden und ohne daß ich gefehlt.
Porque he aquí están acechando mi vida: hanse juntado contra mí fuertes, no por falta mía, ni pecado mío, oh Jehová.
For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O LORD.
For, behold, they lie in wait for my soul. The mighty gather themselves together against me, not for my disobedience, nor for my sin, LORD.
(059-5) Gegen einen Unschuldigen laufen und rüsten sie sich; mache dich auf, komm mir entgegen und siehe darein!
Sin delito mío corren y se aperciben: despierta para venir á mi encuentro, y mira.
They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold.
I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Rise up, behold, and help me!
(059-6) Ja, du, HERR, Gott der Heerscharen, Gott Israels, mache dich auf, alle Heiden heimzusuchen, schone keinen der ruchlosen Verräter! (Pause.)
Y tú, Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, despierta para visitar todas las gentes: no hayas misericordia de todos los que se rebelan con iniquidad. (Selah.)
Thou therefore, O LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.
You, LORD God of Armies, the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish the nations. Show no mercy to the wicked traitors. Selah.
(059-7) Sie kommen jeden Abend, heulen wie die Hunde und laufen in der Stadt herum.
Volveránse á la tarde, ladrarán como perros, y rodearán la ciudad.
They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
They return at evening, howling like dogs, and prowl around the city.
(059-8) Siehe, ihr Mund sprudelt Böses, Schwerter sind auf ihren Lippen; denn sie denken: «Wer hört es?»
He aquí proferirán con su boca; cuchillos están en sus labios, porque dicen: ¿Quién oye?
Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they, doth hear?
Behold, they spew with their mouth. Swords are in their lips, “For”, they say, “who hears us?”
(059-9) Aber du, HERR, lachst ihrer, du spottest aller Heiden.
Mas tú, Jehová, te reirás de ellos, te burlarás de todas las gentes.
But thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.
But you, LORD, laugh at them. You scoff at all the nations.
(059-10) Meine Stärke, auf dich gebe ich acht; denn Gott ist meine hohe Burg.
De su fuerza esperaré yo en ti: porque Dios es mi defensa.
Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.
Oh, my Strength, I watch for you, for God is my high tower.
(059-11) Mein Gott wird mir entgegenkommen mit seiner Gnade; Gott wird mich meine Lust sehen lassen an meinen Feinden.
El Dios de mi misericordia me prevendrá: Dios me hará ver en mis enemigos mi deseo.
The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.
My God will go before me with his loving kindness. God will let me look at my enemies in triumph.
(059-12) Töte sie nicht, sonst hat es mein Volk bald wieder vergessen; vertreibe sie durch deine Macht und stürze sie, Herr, unser Schild!
No los matarás, porque mi pueblo no se olvide: hazlos vagar con tu fortaleza; y abátelos, oh Jehová, escudo nuestro,
Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.
Don’t kill them, or my people may forget. Scatter them by your power, and bring them down, Lord our shield.
(059-13) Das Wort ihres Mundes ist nichts als Sünde, sie verstricken sich in ihrem Übermut, in den Flüchen, die sie ausstoßen, und in den Lügen, die sie erzählen.
Por el pecado de su boca, por la palabra de sus labios; y sean presos por su soberbia, y por la maldición y mentira que profieren.
For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.
For the sin of their mouth, and the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride, for the curses and lies which they utter.
(059-14) Vertilge sie im Zorn, vertilge sie gänzlich, damit man innewerde, daß Gott in Jakob herrscht bis an die Enden der Erde! (Pause.)
Acábalos con furor, acábalos, y no sean: y sepan que Dios domina en Jacob hasta los fines de la tierra. (Selah.)
Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah.

(059-15) Dann sollen sie am Abend wiederkommen, heulen wie die Hunde und umherlaufen in der Stadt;

And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.

(059-16) sie sollen umherirren nach Speise, wenn sie keine Nahrung und kein Obdach finden!
Anden ellos errantes para hallar qué comer: y si no se saciaren, murmuren.
Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.
They shall wander up and down for food, and wait all night if they aren’t satisfied.
(059-17) Ich aber will deine Macht besingen und alle Morgen deine Gnade rühmen, daß du mir zur Zuflucht geworden bist, zum Schutz am Tage der Not.
Yo empero cantaré tu fortaleza, y loaré de mañana tu misericordia: porque has sido mi amparo y refugio en el día de mi angustia.
But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.
But I will sing of your strength. Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning. For you have been my high tower, a refuge in the day of my distress.
(059-18) Ich will dir singen, meine Stärke; denn du bist meine Zuflucht, mein gnädiger Gott!
Fortaleza mía, á ti cantaré; porque eres Dios de mi amparo, Dios de mi misericordia.
Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.
To you, my strength, I will sing praises. For God is my high tower, the God of my mercy.
