1Al Capo de’ musici. Per strumenti a fiato. Salmo di Davide. Porgi l’orecchio alle mie parole, o Eterno, sii attento ai miei sospiri.
2Odi la voce del mio grido, o mio Re e mio Dio, perché a te rivolgo la mia preghiera.
3O Eterno, al mattino tu ascolterai la mia voce; al mattino ti offrirò la mia preghiera e aspetterò;
4poiché tu non sei un Dio che prenda piacere nell’empietà; il malvagio non sarà tuo ospite.
5Quelli che si gloriano non sussisteranno dinanzi agli occhi tuoi; tu odii tutti gli operatori d’iniquità.
6Tu farai perire quelli che dicon menzogne; l’Eterno aborrisce l’uomo di sangue e di frode.
7Ma io, per la grandezza della tua benignità, entrerò nella tua casa; e, vòlto al tempio della tua santità, adorerò nel tuo timore.
8O Eterno, guidami per la tua giustizia, a cagion de’ miei insidiatori; ch’io veda diritta innanzi a me la tua via;
9poiché in bocca loro non v’è sincerità, il loro interno è pieno di malizia; la loro gola è un sepolcro aperto, lusingano con la loro lingua.
10Condannali, o Dio! non riescano nei loro disegni! Scacciali per la moltitudine de’ loro misfatti, poiché si son ribellati contro a te.
11E si rallegreranno tutti quelli che in te confidano; manderanno in perpetuo grida di gioia. Tu stenderai su loro la tua protezione, e quelli che amano il tuo nome festeggeranno in te,
12perché tu, o Eterno, benedirai il giusto; tu lo circonderai di benevolenza, come d’uno scudo.

2Está atento á la voz de mi clamor, Rey mío y Dios mío, porque á ti oraré.
3Oh Jehová, de mañana oirás mi voz; de mañana me presentaré á ti, y esperaré.
4Porque tú no eres un Dios que ame la maldad: el malo no habitará junto á ti.
5No estarán los insensatos delante de tus ojos: aborreces á todos los que obran iniquidad.
6Destruirás á los que hablan mentira: al hombre de sangres y de engaño abominará Jehová.
7Y yo en la multitud de tu misericordia entraré en tu casa: adoraré hacia el templo de tu santidad en tu temor.
8Guíame, Jehová, en tu justicia á causa de mis enemigos; endereza delante de mí tu camino.
9Porque no hay en su boca rectitud: sus entrañas son pravedades; sepulcro abierto su garganta: con su lengua lisonjearán.
10Desbarátalos, oh Dios; caigan de sus consejos: por la multitud de sus rebeliones échalos, porque se rebelaron contra ti.
11Y alegrarse han todos los que en ti confían; para siempre darán voces de júbilo, porque tú los defiendes: y en ti se regocijarán los que aman tu nombre.
12Porque tú, oh Jehová, bendecirás al justo; lo cercarás de benevolencia como con un escudo.

1Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my meditation.
2Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.
3My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.
4For thou art not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee.
5The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
6Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.
7But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple.
8Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face.
9For there is no faithfulness in their mouth; their inward part is very wickedness; their throat is an open sepulchre; they flatter with their tongue.
10Destroy thou them, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against thee.
11But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
12For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield.

1Give ear to my words, LORD. Consider my meditation.
2Listen to the voice of my cry, my King and my God, for I pray to you.
3LORD, in the morning you will hear my voice. In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly.
4For you are not a God who has pleasure in wickedness. Evil can’t live with you.
5The arrogant will not stand in your sight. You hate all workers of iniquity.
6You will destroy those who speak lies. The LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
7But as for me, in the abundance of your loving kindness I will come into your house. I will bow toward your holy temple in reverence of you.
8Lead me, LORD, in your righteousness because of my enemies. Make your way straight before my face.
9For there is no faithfulness in their mouth. Their heart is destruction. Their throat is an open tomb. They flatter with their tongue.
10Hold them guilty, God. Let them fall by their own counsels. Thrust them out in the multitude of their transgressions, for they have rebelled against you.
11But let all those who take refuge in you rejoice. Let them always shout for joy, because you defend them. Let them also who love your name be joyful in you.
12For you will bless the righteous. LORD, you will surround him with favor as with a shield.
