A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Idumea. - O God, my God, I cry to thee early; my soul has thirsted for thee: how often has my flesh longed after thee, in a barren and trackless and dry land!
Salmo de David, estando en el desierto de Judá. DIOS, Dios mío eres tú: levantaréme á ti de mañana: mi alma tiene sed de ti, mi carne te desea, en tierra de sequedad y transida sin aguas;
O God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
God, you are my God. I will earnestly seek you. My soul thirsts for you. My flesh longs for you, in a dry and weary land, where there is no water.
Thus have I appeared before thee in the sanctuary, that I might see thy power and thy glory.
Para ver tu fortaleza y tu gloria, así como te he mirado en el santuario.
To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
So I have seen you in the sanctuary, watching your power and your glory.
For thy mercy is better than Gr. lives life: my lips shall praise thee.
Porque mejor es tu misericordia que la vida: mis labios te alabarán.
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
Because your loving kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise you.
Thus will I bless thee during my life: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
Así te bendeciré en mi vida: en tu nombre alzaré mis manos.
Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
So I will bless you while I live. I will lift up my hands in your name.
Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness; and my joyful lips shall praise thy name.
Como de meollo y de grosura será saciada mi alma; y con labios de júbilo te alabará mi boca,
My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

Cuando me acordaré de ti en mi lecho, cuando meditaré de ti en las velas de la noche.
When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches.
when I remember you on my bed, and think about you in the night watches.
For thou hast been my helper, and in the shelter of thy wings will I rejoice.
Porque has sido mi socorro; y así en la sombra de tus alas me regocijaré.

My soul has Gr. been glued kept very close behind thee: thy right hand has upheld me.
Está mi alma apegada á ti: tu diestra me ha sostenido.
My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
My soul stays close to you. Your right hand holds me up.
But they vainly sought after my soul; they shall go into the lowest parts of the earth.
Mas los que para destrucción buscaron mi alma, caerán en los sitios bajos de la tierra.
But those that seek my soul, to destroy it, shall go into the lower parts of the earth.

They shall be delivered up to the power of the sword; they shall be portions for foxes.
Destruiránlos á filo de espada; serán porción de las zorras.
They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.

But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that swears by him shall be praised; for the mouth of them that speak unjust things has been stopped.
Empero el rey se alegrará en Dios; será alabado cualquiera que por él jura: porque la boca de los que hablan mentira, será cerrada.
But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
But the king shall rejoice in God. Everyone who swears by him will praise him, for the mouth of those who speak lies shall be silenced.
