Já estou cansado de gritar pedindo socorro; minha garganta está seca; meus olhos já estão fracos de tanto chorar, esperando pelo meu Deus.

Muita gente me odeia sem qualquer motivo; tenho mais inimigos do que os fios da minha cabeça; muitos contam mentiras a meu respeito; eles são fortes e querem me destruir. Obrigam-me a pagar por crimes que não cometi.
Hanse aumentado más que los cabellos de mi cabeza los que me aborrecen sin causa; hanse fortalecido mis enemigos, los que me destruyen sin por qué: he venido pues á pagar lo que no he tomado.
They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.

Ó Deus, o Senhor conhece muito bem as minhas culpas; sabe que fui insensato.
Dios, tú sabes mi locura; y mis delitos no te son ocultos.
O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.
God, you know my foolishness. My sins aren’t hidden from you.
Ó Senhor, Senhor dos Exércitos, não permita que outras pessoas que confiam no Senhor percam a esperança e a fé por minha causa. Não deixe que elas sejam envergonhadas, ó Deus de Israel!
No sean avergonzados por mi causa los que te esperan, oh Señor Jehová de los ejércitos; no sean confusos por mí los que te buscan, oh Dios de Israel.
Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.
Don’t let those who wait for you be shamed through me, Lord GOD of Armies. Don’t let those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, God of Israel.
Pois venho passando por todos esses sofrimentos, suportando zombaria e vergonha, por amor ao Senhor.
Porque por amor de ti he sufrido afrenta; confusión ha cubierto mi rostro.
Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.

Sou um estrangeiro para os meus irmãos, um desconhecido para os filhos da minha mãe.

O grande zelo que tenho pela sua casa me consome. Por isso, os insultos daqueles que o insultam caíram sobre mim, com ofensas e mentiras.
Porque me consumió el celo de tu casa; y los denuestos de los que te vituperaban, cayeron sobre mí.
For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.

Enquanto eu jejuo e choro diante do Senhor, eles zombam e riem de mim!
Y lloré afligiendo con ayuno mi alma; y esto me ha sido por afrenta.

Quando me vesti de pano grosso de saco, mostrando tristeza e humilhação, todos começaram a rir e zombar de mim.

Nas rodinhas de amigos nas praças, sou o assunto do dia; até os bêbados fazem cantigas zombando de mim!

Mas apesar de tudo isso, continuarei orando ao Senhor. Eu sei que a hora feliz da sua resposta se aproxima. Ó Deus, responda à minha oração, pelo seu grande amor e pela sua fidelidade como Salvador!
Empero yo enderezaba mi oración á ti, oh Jehová, al tiempo de tu buena voluntad: oh Dios, por la multitud de tu misericordia, por la verdad de tu salud, óyeme.
But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.

Tire-me desse atoleiro; não me deixe afundar na lama. Salve-me dos meus inimigos e das águas profundas!

Não permita que as correntezas me arrastem; não me deixe afundar! Não permita que se feche a boca do poço onde fui jogado!

Ó Senhor, responda-me, pela bondade do seu amor, por sua grande compaixão! Olhe para os meus problemas e ajude-me.

O Senhor sabe como eles me ofendem, como passo humilhação e vergonha. O Senhor conhece todos os meus inimigos!

O desprezo deles cortou o meu coração, e estou desesperado. Esperei que algum deles tivesse pena de mim, mas foi em vão. Ninguém, ninguém veio me consolar!

A luz de seus olhos se transforme em trevas para que não vejam; faça com que percam completamente as forças.
Sean oscurecidos sus ojos para ver, y haz siempre titubear sus lomos.
Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.

Lance sobre eles a sua ira; queime essa gente com o fogo do seu furor.
Derrama sobre ellos tu ira, y el furor de tu enojo los alcance.

Eles procuram destruir as pessoas que o Senhor castiga e aumentar os sofrimentos de quem é ferido pelo Senhor.
Porque persiguieron al que tú heriste; y cuentan del dolor de los que tú llagaste.

Ajunte um a um os pecados deles, e não lhes dê a sua justiça!
Pon maldad sobre su maldad, y no entren en tu justicia.
Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.

Risque essas pessoas do livro da vida; não deixe que elas permaneçam para sempre ao lado dos justos.

Senhor, veja como estou desesperado e triste! Ó Deus, levante-me e coloque-me num lugar seguro.

Isso agrada o Senhor mais do que o sacrifício de bois ou touros com seus chifres e cascos.

Os fracos e humildes verão isso e ficarão muito alegres. Quem procura viver junto ao Senhor tem sempre uma esperança nova no coração.
Veránlo los humildes, y se gozarán; buscad á Dios, y vivirá vuestro corazón.
The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.

O Senhor sempre responde a quem precisa dele e nunca despreza quem está dominado pela dor.

pois Deus salvará Sião e reconstruirá as cidades de Judá. Lá os israelitas viverão em paz e serão donos de sua terra para sempre.
