Atollado estoy en mi profundísimo cieno, sin hallar dónde afirmar el pie. Llegué a alta mar, y me sumergió la tempestad.
Estoy hundido en cieno profundo, donde no hay pie: he venido á abismos de aguas, y la corriente me ha anegado.

Me fatigué en dar voces; se me secó la garganta; desfallecieron mis ojos aguardando a mi Dios.

Se han multiplicado, más que los cabellos de mi cabeza, los que me aborrecen injustamente. Se han hecho fuertes mis enemigos, los injustos perseguidores míos; he pagado lo que yo no había robado.
Hanse aumentado más que los cabellos de mi cabeza los que me aborrecen sin causa; hanse fortalecido mis enemigos, los que me destruyen sin por qué: he venido pues á pagar lo que no he tomado.
They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.
Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head. Those who want to cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty. I have to restore what I didn’t take away.
Tú, ¡oh Dios mío!, sabes mi ignorancia, y los delitos que yo tenga no se te pueden ocultar.
Dios, tú sabes mi locura; y mis delitos no te son ocultos.
O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.
God, you know my foolishness. My sins aren’t hidden from you.
¡Ah! no tengan que avergonzarse por mi causa aquellos que en ti confían, ¡oh Señor, Señor de los ejércitos! No queden corridos por causa mía los que van en pos de ti, ¡oh Dios de Israel!
No sean avergonzados por mi causa los que te esperan, oh Señor Jehová de los ejércitos; no sean confusos por mí los que te buscan, oh Dios de Israel.
Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.
Don’t let those who wait for you be shamed through me, Lord GOD of Armies. Don’t let those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, God of Israel.
Pues por amor a ti he sufrido los ultrajes, y se ve cubierto de confusión el rostro mío.
Porque por amor de ti he sufrido afrenta; confusión ha cubierto mi rostro.
Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.

Mis propios hermanos, los hijos de mi misma madre, me han desconocido y tenido por extraño.
He sido extrañado de mis hermanos, y extraño á los hijos de mi madre.
I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother’s children.

Porque el celo de tu casa me devoró, y los baldones de los que te denostaban recayeron sobre mí.

For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
For the zeal of your house consumes me. The reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.
Me afligía con el ayuno, y se me convertía en afrenta.
Y lloré afligiendo con ayuno mi alma; y esto me ha sido por afrenta.
When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.

Me vestía de cilicio, y me hacía la fábula de ellos.

Contra mí se declaraban los que tienen su asiento en la puerta; y los que bebían vino cantaban contra mí coplas.
Hablaban contra mí los que se sentaban á la puerta, y me zaherían en las canciones de los bebedores de sidra.
They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.
Those who sit in the gate talk about me. I am the song of the drunkards.
Mas yo entretanto, Señor, dirigía a ti mi oración. Este es, decía, ¡oh Dios mío!, el tiempo de reconciliación. Oyeme benigno según la grandeza de tu misericordia, conforme a tu promesa fiel de salvarme.
Empero yo enderezaba mi oración á ti, oh Jehová, al tiempo de tu buena voluntad: oh Dios, por la multitud de tu misericordia, por la verdad de tu salud, óyeme.
But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
But as for me, my prayer is to you, LORD, in an acceptable time. God, in the abundance of your loving kindness, answer me in the truth of your salvation.
Sácame del cieno, para que no quede yo atascado en él; líbrame de aquellos que me aborrecen y del profundo de las aguas.
Sácame del lodo, y no sea yo sumergido: sea yo libertado de los que me aborrecen, y del profundo de las aguas.

Oyeme, Señor, ya que tan benéfica es tu misericordia; vuelve hacia mí tus ojos según la grandeza de tu piedad.
Oyeme, Jehová, porque apacible es tu misericordia; mírame conforme á la multitud de tus miseraciones.
Hear me, O LORD; for thy lovingkindness is good: turn unto me according to the multitude of thy tender mercies.
Answer me, LORD, for your loving kindness is good. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, turn to me.
Y no pierdas de vista a tu siervo; oye presto mis súplicas, porque me veo atribulado.

And hide not thy face from thy servant; for I am in trouble: hear me speedily.

Mira por mi alma y líbrala; sácame a salvo por razón de mis enemigos.

Bien ves los oprobios que sufro, y mi confusión, y la ignominia mía.
Tú sabes mi afrenta, y mi confusión, y mi oprobio: delante de ti están todos mis enemigos.
Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries are all before thee.

Tienes ante tus ojos todos los que me atormentan; improperios y miserias aguarda siempre mi corazón. Esperé que alguno se condoliese de mí, mas nadie lo hizo; o quien me consolase, y no hallé quien lo hiciese.
La afrenta ha quebrantado mi corazón, y estoy acongojado: y esperé quien se compadeciese de mí, y no lo hubo: y consoladores, y ninguno hallé.

Me presentaron hiel para alimento mío, y en medio de mi sed me dieron a beber vinagre.

En justo pago se les convierta su mesa en lazo de perdición y ruina.
Sea su mesa delante de ellos por lazo, y lo que es para bien por tropiezo.
Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.

Oscurece sus ojos para que no vean; y tráelos siempre agobiados.

Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.

Derrama sobre ellos tu ira, y que los alcance el furor de tu cólera.

Quede hecha un desierto su morada, y no haya quien habite en sus tiendas,

ya que han perseguido a aquel que tú habías herido, y aumentaron más y más el dolor de mis llagas.

Tú permitirás que añadan pecados a pecados, y no acierten con tu justicia.
Pon maldad sobre su maldad, y no entren en tu justicia.
Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.
Charge them with crime upon crime. Don’t let them come into your righteousness.
Raídos sean del libro de los vivientes, y no queden escritos en el libro de los Justos.

Yo soy un miserable y lleno de dolores; mas tú, oh Dios mío, me has salvado.

Alabaré con cánticos el nombre de Dios, y le ensalzaré con acciones de gracias,

lo que será más grato a Dios que si le inmolara un ternerillo cuando le comienzan a salir las astas y las pezuñas.
Y agradará á Jehová más que sacrificio de buey, ó becerro que echa cuernos y uñas.
This also shall please the LORD better than an ox or bullock that hath horns and hoofs.
It will please the LORD better than an ox, or a bull that has horns and hoofs.
Que vean esto los pobres, y se consuelen. Buscad, pues, a Dios, y revivirá vuestro espíritu,
Veránlo los humildes, y se gozarán; buscad á Dios, y vivirá vuestro corazón.
The humble shall see this, and be glad: and your heart shall live that seek God.
The humble have seen it, and are glad. You who seek after God, let your heart live.
puesto que el Señor oyó a los pobres, y no olvidó a los que están por él en cadenas.
Porque Jehová oye á los menesterosos, y no menosprecia á sus prisioneros.
For the LORD heareth the poor, and despiseth not his prisoners.

Que lo alaben los cielos y la tierra, el mar y cuanto en ellos se mueve.

Porque Dios salvará a Sión, y las ciudades de Judá serán reedificadas; y establecerán allí su morada, y las adquirirán como herencia.
