Ich hätte auch schier so gesagt wie sie; aber siehe, damit hätte ich verdammt alle meine Kinder, die je gewesen sind.

Si dijera yo, Discurriré de esa suerte; he aquí habría negado la nación de tus hijos:

If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.

If I had said, “I will speak thus”, behold, I would have betrayed the generation of your children.
