Salmo de Asaph. CIERTAMENTE bueno es Dios á Israel, á los limpios de corazón.
Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.
Ora, quant'è a me, quasi che incapparono i miei piedi; Come nulla mancò che i miei passi non isdrucciolassero.
Mas yo, casi se deslizaron mis pies; por poco resbalaron mis pasos.
But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.

Perciocchè io portava invidia agl'insensati, Veggendo la prosperità degli empi.

Perciocchè non vi sono alcuni legami alla lor morte; E la lor forza è prosperosa.

For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.

Quando gli altri uomini sono in travagli, essi non vi son punto; E non ricevono battiture col rimanente degli uomini.
No están ellos en el trabajo humano; ni son azotados con los otros hombres.
They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
They are free from burdens of men, neither are they plagued like other men.
Perciò, la superbia li cinge a giusa di collana; La violenza li involge come un vestimento.
Por tanto soberbia los corona: cúbrense de vestido de violencia.
Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
Therefore pride is like a chain around their neck. Violence covers them like a garment.
Gli occhi escono loro fuori per lo grasso; Avanzano le immaginazioni del cuor loro.
Sus ojos están salidos de gruesos: logran con creces los antojos del corazón.
Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
Their eyes bulge with fat. Their minds pass the limits of conceit.
Son dissoluti, e per malizia ragionano di oppressare; Parlano da alto.
Soltáronse, y hablan con maldad de hacer violencia; hablan con altanería.
They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
They scoff and speak with malice. In arrogance, they threaten oppression.
Mettono la lor bocca dentro al cielo, E la lor lingua passeggia per la terra.
Ponen en el cielo su boca, y su lengua pasea la tierra.
They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
They have set their mouth in the heavens. Their tongue walks through the earth.
Perciò, il popolo di Dio riviene a questo, Veggendo che l'acqua gli è spremuta a bere a pien calice,
Por eso su pueblo vuelve aquí, y aguas de lleno les son exprimidas.
Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
Therefore their people return to them, and they drink up waters of abundance.
E dice: Come può essere che Iddio sappia ogni cosa, E che vi sia conoscimento nell'Altissimo?
Y dicen: ¿Cómo sabe Dios? ¿y hay conocimiento en lo alto?
And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
They say, “How does God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?”
Ecco, costoro son empi, e pur godono pace e tranquillità in perpetuo; Ed accrescono le lor facoltà.
He aquí estos impíos, sin ser turbados del mundo, alcanzaron riquezas.
Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
Behold, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches.
Indarno adunque in vero ho nettato il mio cuore, Ed ho lavate le mie mani nell'innocenza.
Verdaderamente en vano he limpiado mi corazón, y lavado mis manos en inocencia;
Verily I have cleansed my heart in vain, and washed my hands in innocency.

Poichè son battuto tuttodì, Ed ogni mattina il mio gastigamento si rinnuova.
Pues he sido azotado todo el día, y empezaba mi castigo por las mañanas.
For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.

Se io dico: Io ragionerò così; Ecco, io son disleale inverso la generazione de' tuoi figliuoli.
Si dijera yo, Discurriré de esa suerte; he aquí habría negado la nación de tus hijos:
If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
If I had said, “I will speak thus”, behold, I would have betrayed the generation of your children.
Io ho adunque pensato di volere intender questo; Ma la cosa mi è parsa molto molesta.
Pensaré pues para saber esto: es á mis ojos duro trabajo,
When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
When I tried to understand this, it was too painful for me—
Infino a tanto che sono entrato ne' santuari di Dio; Ed ho considerato il fine di coloro.
Hasta que venido al santuario de Dios, entenderé la postrimería de ellos.
Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
until I entered God’s sanctuary, and considered their latter end.
Certo, tu li metti in isdruccioli; Tu li trabocchi in ruine.
Ciertamente los has puesto en deslizaderos; en asolamientos los harás caer.
Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
Surely you set them in slippery places. You throw them down to destruction.
Come sono eglino stati distrutti in un momento! Come son venuti meno, e sono stati consumati per casi spaventevoli!
¡Cómo han sido asolados! ¡cuán en un punto! Acabáronse, fenecieron con turbaciones.
How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors.
Son come un sogno, dopo che l'uomo si è destato; O Signore, quando tu ti risveglierai, tu sprezzerai la lor vana apparenza.
Como sueño del que despierta, así, Señor, cuando despertares, menospreciarás sus apariencias.
As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
As a dream when one wakes up, so, Lord, when you awake, you will despise their fantasies.
Quando il mio cuore era inacerbito, Ed io era punto nelle reni;
Desazonóse á la verdad mi corazón, y en mis riñones sentía punzadas.
Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.

Con todo, yo siempre estuve contigo: trabaste de mi mano derecha.
Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.

Tu mi condurrai per lo tuo consiglio, E poi mi riceverai in gloria;
Hasme guiado según tu consejo, y después me recibirás en gloria.
Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

Chi è per me in cielo, fuor che te? Io non voglio altri che te in terra.
¿A quién tengo yo en los cielos? Y fuera de ti nada deseo en la tierra.
Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
Whom do I have in heaven? There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you.
La mia carne ed il mio cuore erano venuti meno: Ma Iddio è la rocca del mio cuore, e la mia parte in eterno.
Mi carne y mi corazón desfallecen: mas la roca de mi corazón y mi porción es Dios para siempre.
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Perciocchè, ecco, quelli che si allontanano da te periranno; Tu distruggerai ogni uomo che fornicando si svia da te.
Porque he aquí, los que se alejan de ti perecerán: tú cortarás á todo aquel que fornicando, de ti se aparta.
For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.
For, behold, those who are far from you shall perish. You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to you.
Ma quant'è a me, egli mi è buono di accostarmi a Dio; Io ho posta nel Signore Iddio la mia confidanza, Per raccontar tutte le opere sue.
Y en cuanto á mí, el acercarme á Dios es el bien: he puesto en el Señor Jehová mi esperanza, para contar todas tus obras.
But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
But it is good for me to come close to God. I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.
