Salmo de Asaph. CIERTAMENTE bueno es Dios á Israel, á los limpios de corazón.
Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.

Nicht sind sie im Ungemach der Sterblichen, und mit den Menschen werden sie nicht geplagt.

They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
They are free from burdens of men, neither are they plagued like other men.
Deshalb umgibt sie der Hochmut wie ein Halsgeschmeide, Gewalttat umhüllt sie wie ein Gewand.
Por tanto soberbia los corona: cúbrense de vestido de violencia.
Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
Therefore pride is like a chain around their neck. Violence covers them like a garment.
Es tritt aus dem Fett hervor ihr Auge; sie fließen über in den Einbildungen des Herzens.
Sus ojos están salidos de gruesos: logran con creces los antojos del corazón.
Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
Their eyes bulge with fat. Their minds pass the limits of conceit.
Sie höhnen und reden in Bosheit von Bedrückung; von oben herab reden sie.
Soltáronse, y hablan con maldad de hacer violencia; hablan con altanería.
They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
They scoff and speak with malice. In arrogance, they threaten oppression.
Sie setzen in den Himmel ihren Mund, und ihre Zunge wandelt auf der Erde.
Ponen en el cielo su boca, y su lengua pasea la tierra.
They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
They have set their mouth in the heavens. Their tongue walks through the earth.
Deshalb wendet sich hierher sein Volk, und Wasser in Fülle wird von ihnen geschlürft.
Por eso su pueblo vuelve aquí, y aguas de lleno les son exprimidas.
Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
Therefore their people return to them, and they drink up waters of abundance.
Und sie sprechen: Wie wüsste es Gott, und wie sollte Wissen sein bei dem Höchsten?
Y dicen: ¿Cómo sabe Dios? ¿y hay conocimiento en lo alto?
And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
They say, “How does God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?”
Siehe, diese sind Gottlose, und, immer sorglos, erwerben sie sich Vermögen.
He aquí estos impíos, sin ser turbados del mundo, alcanzaron riquezas.
Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
Behold, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches.

Wenn ich gesagt hätte: Ich will ebenso reden, siehe, so wäre ich treulos gewesen dem Geschlecht deiner Söhne.
Si dijera yo, Discurriré de esa suerte; he aquí habría negado la nación de tus hijos:
If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
If I had said, “I will speak thus”, behold, I would have betrayed the generation of your children.
Da dachte ich nach, um dieses zu begreifen: Eine mühevolle Arbeit war es in meinen Augen;

When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;

Hasta que venido al santuario de Dios, entenderé la postrimería de ellos.
Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
until I entered God’s sanctuary, and considered their latter end.
Ja, auf schlüpfrige Örter setzt du sie, stürzt sie hin zu Trümmern.
Ciertamente los has puesto en deslizaderos; en asolamientos los harás caer.
Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
Surely you set them in slippery places. You throw them down to destruction.
Wie sind sie so plötzlich verwüstet, haben ein Ende genommen, sind umgekommen durch Schrecknisse!
¡Cómo han sido asolados! ¡cuán en un punto! Acabáronse, fenecieron con turbaciones.
How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors.
Wie einen Traum nach dem Erwachen wirst du, Herr, beim Aufwachen ihr Bild verachten.
Como sueño del que despierta, así, Señor, cuando despertares, menospreciarás sus apariencias.
As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
As a dream when one wakes up, so, Lord, when you awake, you will despise their fantasies.
Als mein Herz sich erbitterte und es mich in meinen Nieren stach,
Desazonóse á la verdad mi corazón, y en mis riñones sentía punzadas.
Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.

Doch ich bin stets bei dir: Du hast mich erfasst bei meiner rechten Hand;
Con todo, yo siempre estuve contigo: trabaste de mi mano derecha.
Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.

durch deinen Rat wirst du mich leiten, und nach der Herrlichkeit wirst du mich aufnehmen.
Hasme guiado según tu consejo, y después me recibirás en gloria.
Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

Wen habe ich im Himmel? Und neben dir habe ich an nichts Lust auf der Erde.

Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

Vergeht mein Fleisch und mein Herz – meines Herzens Fels und mein Teil ist Gott auf ewig.
Mi carne y mi corazón desfallecen: mas la roca de mi corazón y mi porción es Dios para siempre.
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.

Ich aber, Gott zu nahen ist mir gut; ich habe meine Zuversicht auf den Herrn, HERRN, gesetzt, um zu erzählen alle deine Taten.
Y en cuanto á mí, el acercarme á Dios es el bien: he puesto en el Señor Jehová mi esperanza, para contar todas tus obras.
But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
