Salmo de Asaph. CIERTAMENTE bueno es Dios á Israel, á los limpios de corazón.
Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.

Von der Mühsal der Sterblichen sind sie frei, sie werden nicht geplagt wie andere Menschen.
No están ellos en el trabajo humano; ni son azotados con los otros hombres.
They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.

Darum ist ihr Hochmut ihr Halsgeschmeide, Gewalttat das Gewand, das sie umhüllt.

Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.

Sie sehen kaum aus den Augen vor fett, ihr Herz quillt über vor bösen Plänen.
Sus ojos están salidos de gruesos: logran con creces los antojos del corazón.
Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
Their eyes bulge with fat. Their minds pass the limits of conceit.
Bösartig höhnen und reden sie, gewalttätig reden sie von oben herab.
Soltáronse, y hablan con maldad de hacer violencia; hablan con altanería.
They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
They scoff and speak with malice. In arrogance, they threaten oppression.
Sie reißen ihr Maul auf bis an den Himmel, und ihre Zunge hat auf der Erde freien Lauf.
Ponen en el cielo su boca, y su lengua pasea la tierra.
They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
They have set their mouth in the heavens. Their tongue walks through the earth.
Darum wendet sich sein Volk ihnen zu, in vollen Zügen schlürfen sie Wasser.
Por eso su pueblo vuelve aquí, y aguas de lleno les son exprimidas.
Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
Therefore their people return to them, and they drink up waters of abundance.
Sie sagen: Wie sollte JHWH es wissen, gibt es ein Wissen bei dem Höchsten?
Y dicen: ¿Cómo sabe Dios? ¿y hay conocimiento en lo alto?
And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
They say, “How does God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?”
Sieh, das sind die Frevler, immer im Glück häufen sie Reichtum.
He aquí estos impíos, sin ser turbados del mundo, alcanzaron riquezas.
Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
Behold, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches.
Ganz umsonst hielt ich mein Herz rein, wusch ich meine Hände in Unschuld.
Verdaderamente en vano he limpiado mi corazón, y lavado mis manos en inocencia;

If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
If I had said, “I will speak thus”, behold, I would have betrayed the generation of your children.
Dann dachte (sann) ich nach, um es zu verstehen, Qual war es in meinen Augen,
Pensaré pues para saber esto: es á mis ojos duro trabajo,
When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
When I tried to understand this, it was too painful for me—
bis ich zum Heiligtum Gottes kam und acht hatte auf ihr Ende.
Hasta que venido al santuario de Dios, entenderé la postrimería de ellos.
Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
until I entered God’s sanctuary, and considered their latter end.
Du stellst sie auf schlüpfrigen Boden, du lässt sie ins Leere fallen.
Ciertamente los has puesto en deslizaderos; en asolamientos los harás caer.
Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
Surely you set them in slippery places. You throw them down to destruction.
Wie werden sie zum Entsetzen im Nu, sie verschwinden, nehmen ein Ende mit Schrecken.
¡Cómo han sido asolados! ¡cuán en un punto! Acabáronse, fenecieron con turbaciones.
How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors.
Wie einen Traum nach dem Erwachen, Herr, so verachtest du, wenn du aufwachst, ihr Bild.
Como sueño del que despierta, así, Señor, cuando despertares, menospreciarás sus apariencias.
As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
As a dream when one wakes up, so, Lord, when you awake, you will despise their fantasies.
Als mein Herz verbittert war und ich stechenden Schmerz in den Nieren spürte,
Desazonóse á la verdad mi corazón, y en mis riñones sentía punzadas.
Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.

Nun aber bleibe ich stets bei dir, du hältst mich an meiner rechten Hand.

Nach deinem Ratschluss leitest du mich, und danach (hernach) nimmst du mich auf in Herrlichkeit.
Hasme guiado según tu consejo, y después me recibirás en gloria.
Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

Wen hätte ich im Himmel? Bin ich bei dir, so begehre ich nichts auf Erden.
¿A quién tengo yo en los cielos? Y fuera de ti nada deseo en la tierra.
Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

Mögen mein Leib und mein Herz verschmachten, der Fels meines Herzens und mein Teil ist JHWH auf ewig.
Mi carne y mi corazón desfallecen: mas la roca de mi corazón y mi porción es Dios para siempre.
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Denn sieh, die dir fern sind, kommen um, du vernichtest jeden, der dich treulos verlässt.
Porque he aquí, los que se alejan de ti perecerán: tú cortarás á todo aquel que fornicando, de ti se aparta.
For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.
For, behold, those who are far from you shall perish. You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to you.
Mein Glück aber ist es, Gott nahe zu sein; bei Gott, JHWH, habe ich meine Zuflucht. Alle deine Werke will ich verkünden.
Y en cuanto á mí, el acercarme á Dios es el bien: he puesto en el Señor Jehová mi esperanza, para contar todas tus obras.
But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
But it is good for me to come close to God. I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.
