Certamente é verdade que Deus é bom para Israel, para as pessoas que têm coração puro.
Salmo de Asaph. CIERTAMENTE bueno es Dios á Israel, á los limpios de corazón.
Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.
Mas quanto a mim, quase tropecei e caí. Por pouco não abandonei o caminho certo.
Mas yo, casi se deslizaron mis pies; por poco resbalaron mis pasos.
But as for me, my feet were almost gone; my steps had well nigh slipped.

Pois tive inveja dos orgulhosos, vendo o sucesso e a felicidade desses maus.

Para eles, a vida é tranquila e sem preocupações. Eles têm boa saúde e estão sempre fortes.
Porque no hay ataduras para su muerte; antes su fortaleza está entera.
For there are no bands in their death: but their strength is firm.

Eles não precisam se cansar; nem passam pelos problemas e aflições dos outros homens.
No están ellos en el trabajo humano; ni son azotados con los otros hombres.
They are not in trouble as other men; neither are they plagued like other men.
They are free from burdens of men, neither are they plagued like other men.
Por isso, exibem seu orgulho como se fosse um colar, e a violência lhes serve como uma roupa que cobre o corpo.
Por tanto soberbia los corona: cúbrense de vestido de violencia.
Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.
Therefore pride is like a chain around their neck. Violence covers them like a garment.
Por causa de sua riqueza, seus olhos desejam tudo que seus corações imaginam.
Sus ojos están salidos de gruesos: logran con creces los antojos del corazón.
Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
Their eyes bulge with fat. Their minds pass the limits of conceit.
São perversos por natureza; conversam com muito orgulho sobre as suas maldades e mentiras.
Soltáronse, y hablan con maldad de hacer violencia; hablan con altanería.
They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
They scoff and speak with malice. In arrogance, they threaten oppression.
Fazem ameaças contra o próprio Deus, e suas calúnias se espalham por toda a terra.
Ponen en el cielo su boca, y su lengua pasea la tierra.
They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
They have set their mouth in the heavens. Their tongue walks through the earth.
Por isso, o povo, confuso, procura orientação com esses homens e aceita tudo o que eles dizem, como se fosse água pura da fonte.
Por eso su pueblo vuelve aquí, y aguas de lleno les son exprimidas.
Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
Therefore their people return to them, and they drink up waters of abundance.
E ainda perguntam: “Será que Deus sabe o que está acontecendo? Será que o Altíssimo entende o que se passa na terra?”
Y dicen: ¿Cómo sabe Dios? ¿y hay conocimiento en lo alto?
And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
They say, “How does God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?”
Vejam bem o que acontece com os maus; eles não precisam se esforçar; vivem tranquilos e suas riquezas aumentam a cada dia.
He aquí estos impíos, sin ser turbados del mundo, alcanzaron riquezas.
Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
Behold, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches.
Será que foi à toa que eu me esforcei para manter o coração puro e ter as mãos limpas de pecado?
Verdaderamente en vano he limpiado mi corazón, y lavado mis manos en inocencia;

Vejam qual foi o resultado: sofrimento o dia inteiro e castigo a cada manhã!
Pues he sido azotado todo el día, y empezaba mi castigo por las mañanas.
For all the day long have I been plagued, and chastened every morning.

Se eu tivesse falado como os maus, seria um traidor do povo de Deus.
Si dijera yo, Discurriré de esa suerte; he aquí habría negado la nación de tus hijos:
If I say, I will speak thus; behold, I should offend against the generation of thy children.
If I had said, “I will speak thus”, behold, I would have betrayed the generation of your children.
Mas realmente é muito difícil entender esse fato — o sucesso de pessoas que desprezam a Deus.
Pensaré pues para saber esto: es á mis ojos duro trabajo,
When I thought to know this, it was too painful for me;
When I tried to understand this, it was too painful for me—
Então, um dia, quando eu estava no templo de Deus, entendi o triste destino reservado para os maus.
Hasta que venido al santuario de Dios, entenderé la postrimería de ellos.
Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
until I entered God’s sanctuary, and considered their latter end.
Deus os colocou num caminho escorregadio, onde eles caem na mais completa ruína.
Ciertamente los has puesto en deslizaderos; en asolamientos los harás caer.
Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.

Eles são destruídos de repente, completamente, por aquilo que mais temem.
¡Cómo han sido asolados! ¡cuán en un punto! Acabáronse, fenecieron con turbaciones.
How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors.
Quando o Senhor entrar em ação, removerá esta gente da sua presença, como um sonho que esquecemos quando acordamos pela manhã.
Como sueño del que despierta, así, Señor, cuando despertares, menospreciarás sus apariencias.
As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
As a dream when one wakes up, so, Lord, when you awake, you will despise their fantasies.
Quando meu coração ficou revoltado contra Deus, as minhas emoções entraram em guerra dentro de mim;
Desazonóse á la verdad mi corazón, y en mis riñones sentía punzadas.
Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.

agi como um irresponsável e ignorante diante do Senhor. Minha atitude era de um animal sem entendimento.

E apesar de tudo isso, o Senhor estava sempre a meu lado, segurando bem firme a minha mão direita.
Con todo, yo siempre estuve contigo: trabaste de mi mano derecha.
Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.

O Senhor me guia com a sua sabedoria durante esta vida e depois me receberá com honras.
Hasme guiado según tu consejo, y después me recibirás en gloria.
Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

Quem mais tenho no céu, senão o Senhor? E aqui na terra, o que eu mais desejo é a sua presença.
¿A quién tengo yo en los cielos? Y fuera de ti nada deseo en la tierra.

Minha saúde pode acabar, meu coração fraquejar, mas Deus é a fortaleza do meu coração e a minha herança eterna!

Quem desprezar a Deus será destruído; quem se afastar do Senhor será castigado com a morte.

For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.

Quanto a mim, acho maravilhoso viver bem perto de Deus. O Soberano Senhor é a minha proteção, e por isso proclamarei ao mundo as grandes coisas que ele fez por mim.
Y en cuanto á mí, el acercarme á Dios es el bien: he puesto en el Señor Jehová mi esperanza, para contar todas tus obras.
But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
But it is good for me to come close to God. I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.
