Salmo de Asaph. CIERTAMENTE bueno es Dios á Israel, á los limpios de corazón.
Truly God is good to Israel, even to such as are of a clean heart.
Surely God is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.
Ich aber hätte schier gestrauchelt mit meinen Füßen, wie leicht hätte ich einen Mißtritt getan!

Darum schmücken sie sich stolz und kleiden sich frech.

Therefore pride compasseth them about as a chain; violence covereth them as a garment.

Ihr Gesicht strotzt von Fett, sie bilden sich sehr viel ein.
Sus ojos están salidos de gruesos: logran con creces los antojos del corazón.
Their eyes stand out with fatness: they have more than heart could wish.
Their eyes bulge with fat. Their minds pass the limits of conceit.
Sie reden höhnisch und boshaft, drohen mit höherer Gewalt.
Soltáronse, y hablan con maldad de hacer violencia; hablan con altanería.
They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
They scoff and speak with malice. In arrogance, they threaten oppression.
Sie reden, als käme es vom Himmel; ihre Worte haben Geltung auf Erden.
Ponen en el cielo su boca, y su lengua pasea la tierra.
They set their mouth against the heavens, and their tongue walketh through the earth.
They have set their mouth in the heavens. Their tongue walks through the earth.
Darum wendet sich auch das Volk ihnen zu, und es wird von ihnen viel Wasser aufgesogen.
Por eso su pueblo vuelve aquí, y aguas de lleno les son exprimidas.
Therefore his people return hither: and waters of a full cup are wrung out to them.
Therefore their people return to them, and they drink up waters of abundance.
Und sie sagen: «Was merkt Gott? Weiß der Höchste überhaupt etwas?»
Y dicen: ¿Cómo sabe Dios? ¿y hay conocimiento en lo alto?
And they say, How doth God know? and is there knowledge in the most High?
They say, “How does God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?”
Siehe, das sind die Gottlosen; denen geht es immer gut, und sie werden reich!
He aquí estos impíos, sin ser turbados del mundo, alcanzaron riquezas.
Behold, these are the ungodly, who prosper in the world; they increase in riches.
Behold, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches.
Ganz umsonst habe ich mein Herz rein erhalten und meine Hände in Unschuld gewaschen;

So sann ich denn nach, um dies zu verstehen; aber es schien mir vergebliche Mühe zu sein,

bis ich in das Heiligtum Gottes ging und auf ihr Ende merkte.
Hasta que venido al santuario de Dios, entenderé la postrimería de ellos.
Until I went into the sanctuary of God; then understood I their end.
until I entered God’s sanctuary, and considered their latter end.
Nur auf schlüpfrigen Boden setzest du sie; du lässest sie fallen, daß sie in Trümmer sinken.
Ciertamente los has puesto en deslizaderos; en asolamientos los harás caer.
Surely thou didst set them in slippery places: thou castedst them down into destruction.
Surely you set them in slippery places. You throw them down to destruction.
Wie geschah das so plötzlich und entsetzlich! Sie gingen unter und nahmen ein Ende mit Schrecken.
¡Cómo han sido asolados! ¡cuán en un punto! Acabáronse, fenecieron con turbaciones.
How are they brought into desolation, as in a moment! they are utterly consumed with terrors.
How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors.
Wie einen Traum nach dem Erwachen, so wirst du, o Herr, wenn du dich aufmachst, ihr Bild verächtlich machen.
Como sueño del que despierta, así, Señor, cuando despertares, menospreciarás sus apariencias.
As a dream when one awaketh; so, O Lord, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
As a dream when one wakes up, so, Lord, when you awake, you will despise their fantasies.
Als mein Herz verbittert war und es mir in den Nieren wehe tat,
Desazonóse á la verdad mi corazón, y en mis riñones sentía punzadas.
Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.

da war ich dumm und verstand nichts; ich benahm mich wie ein Vieh gegen dich.

Und doch bleibe ich stets bei dir; du hältst mich bei meiner rechten Hand.

Wen habe ich im Himmel? Und dir ziehe ich gar nichts auf Erden vor!

Schwinden auch mein Fleisch und mein Herz dahin, so bleibt doch Gott ewiglich meines Herzens Fels und mein Teil.

Mir aber ist die Nähe Gottes köstlich; ich habe Gott, den HERRN, zu meiner Zuflucht gemacht, um zu erzählen alle deine Werke.
Y en cuanto á mí, el acercarme á Dios es el bien: he puesto en el Señor Jehová mi esperanza, para contar todas tus obras.
But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works.
But it is good for me to come close to God. I have made the Lord GOD my refuge, that I may tell of all your works.
