Cantique d’Asaph. Pourquoi, ô Dieu! Rejettes-tu pour toujours? Pourquoi t’irrites-tu contre le troupeau de ton pâturage?
Masquil de Asaph. ¿POR qué, oh Dios, nos has desechado para siempre? ¿por qué ha humeado tu furor contra las ovejas de tu dehesa?
O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?
God, why have you rejected us forever? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?
Souviens-toi de ton peuple que tu as acquis autrefois, Que tu as racheté comme la tribu de ton héritage! Souviens-toi de la montagne de Sion, où tu faisais ta résidence;
Acuérdate de tu congregación, que adquiriste de antiguo, cuando redimiste la vara de tu heredad; este monte de Sión, donde has habitado.
Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.
Remember your congregation, which you purchased of old, which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance: Mount Zion, in which you have lived.
Porte tes pas vers ces lieux constamment dévastés! L’ennemi a tout ravagé dans le sanctuaire.
Levanta tus pies á los asolamientos eternos: á todo enemigo que ha hecho mal en el santuario.
Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary.
Lift up your feet to the perpetual ruins, all the evil that the enemy has done in the sanctuary.
Tes adversaires ont rugi au milieu de ton temple; Ils ont établi pour signes leurs signes.
Tus enemigos han bramado en medio de tus sinagogas: han puesto sus divisas por señas.
Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs.
Your adversaries have roared in the middle of your assembly. They have set up their standards as signs.
On les a vus, pareils à celui qui lève La cognée dans une épaisse forêt;
Cualquiera se hacía famoso según que había levantado el hacha sobre los gruesos maderos.
A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees.
They behaved like men wielding axes, cutting through a thicket of trees.
Et bientôt ils ont brisé toutes les sculptures, A coups de haches et de marteaux.
Y ahora con hachas y martillos han quebrado todas sus entalladuras.
But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers.
Now they break all its carved work down with hatchet and hammers.
Ils ont mis le feu à ton sanctuaire; Ils ont abattu, profané la demeure de ton nom.
Han puesto á fuego tus santuarios, han profanado el tabernáculo de tu nombre echándolo á tierra.
They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground.
They have burned your sanctuary to the ground. They have profaned the dwelling place of your Name.
Ils disaient en leur cœur: Traitons-les tous avec violence! Ils ont brûlé dans le pays tous les lieux saints.
Dijeron en su corazón: Destruyámoslos de una vez; han quemado todas las sinagogas de Dios en la tierra.
They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land.
They said in their heart, “We will crush them completely.” They have burned up all the places in the land where God was worshiped.
Nous ne voyons plus nos signes; Il n’y a plus de prophète, Et personne parmi nous qui sache jusqu’à quand…
No vemos ya nuestras señales: no hay más profeta; ni con nosotros hay quien sepa hasta cuándo.
We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.
We see no miraculous signs. There is no longer any prophet, neither is there among us anyone who knows how long.
Jusqu’à quand, ô Dieu! L’oppresseur outragera-t-il, L’ennemi méprisera-t-il sans cesse ton nom?
¿Hasta cuándo, oh Dios, el angustiador nos afrentará? ¿ha de blasfemar el enemigo perpetuamente tu nombre?
O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?
How long, God, shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme your name forever?
Pourquoi retires-tu ta main et ta droite? Sors-la de ton sein! Détruis!
¿Por qué retraes tu mano, y tu diestra? ¿por qué la escondes dentro de tu seno?
Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck it out of thy bosom.

Tu as fendu la mer par ta puissance, Tu as brisé les têtes des monstres sur les eaux;
Tú hendiste la mar con tu fortaleza: quebrantaste cabezas de ballenas en las aguas.
Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters.
You divided the sea by your strength. You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters.
Tu as écrasé la tête du crocodile, Tu l’as donné pour nourriture au peuple du désert.
Tú magullaste las cabezas del leviathán; dístelo por comida al pueblo de los desiertos.
Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces. You gave him as food to people and desert creatures.
Tu as fait jaillir des sources et des torrents. Tu as mis à sec des fleuves qui ne tarissent point.
Tú abriste fuente y río; tú secaste ríos impetuosos.
Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers.
You opened up spring and stream. You dried up mighty rivers.
A toi est le jour, à toi est la nuit; Tu as créé la lumière et le soleil.
Tuyo es el día, tuya también es la noche: tú aparejaste la luna y el sol.
The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.

Souviens-toi que l’ennemi outrage l’Éternel, Et qu’un peuple insensé méprise ton nom!
Acuérdate de esto: que el enemigo ha dicho afrentas á Jehová, y que el pueblo insensato ha blasfemado tu nombre.
Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.

Ne livre pas aux bêtes l’âme de ta tourterelle, N’oublie pas à toujours la vie de tes malheureux!
No entregues á las bestias el alma de tu tórtola: y no olvides para siempre la congregación de tus afligidos.
O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.
Don’t deliver the soul of your dove to wild beasts. Don’t forget the life of your poor forever.
Aie égard à l’alliance! Car les lieux sombres du pays sont pleins de repaires de brigands.
Mira al pacto: porque las tenebrosidades de la tierra llenas están de habitaciones de violencia.
Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.

Lève-toi, ô Dieu! Défends ta cause! Souviens-toi des outrages que te fait chaque jour l’insensé!
Levántate, oh Dios, aboga tu causa: acuérdate de cómo el insensato te injuria cada día.
Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.

N’oublie pas les clameurs de tes adversaires, Le tumulte sans cesse croissant de ceux qui s’élèvent contre toi!
No olvides las voces de tus enemigos: el alboroto de los que se levantan contra ti sube continuamente.
Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.
Don’t forget the voice of your adversaries. The tumult of those who rise up against you ascends continually.
