Oh, Dios, ¿por qué nos has rechazado? ¿Acaso será para siempre? ¿Por qué tu ira consume como fuego abrasador a las ovejas de tu rebaño?
Masquil de Asaph. ¿POR qué, oh Dios, nos has desechado para siempre? ¿por qué ha humeado tu furor contra las ovejas de tu dehesa?
O God, why hast thou cast us off for ever? why doth thine anger smoke against the sheep of thy pasture?
God, why have you rejected us forever? Why does your anger smolder against the sheep of your pasture?
Recuerda al pueblo que formaste hace mucho tiempo. La tribu que redimiste e hiciste tuya. Recuerda también al monte de Sión, tu casa.
Acuérdate de tu congregación, que adquiriste de antiguo, cuando redimiste la vara de tu heredad; este monte de Sión, donde has habitado.
Remember thy congregation, which thou hast purchased of old; the rod of thine inheritance, which thou hast redeemed; this mount Zion, wherein thou hast dwelt.
Remember your congregation, which you purchased of old, which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance: Mount Zion, in which you have lived.
Ven y camina en medio de estas ruinas. El enemigo ha destruido tu Templo por completo.
Levanta tus pies á los asolamientos eternos: á todo enemigo que ha hecho mal en el santuario.
Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary.
Lift up your feet to the perpetual ruins, all the evil that the enemy has done in the sanctuary.
El enemigo ha gritado en victoria justo en el lugar donde te reuniste con nosotros. Han levantado sus estandartes como símbolos de su victoria.
Tus enemigos han bramado en medio de tus sinagogas: han puesto sus divisas por señas.
Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs.
Your adversaries have roared in the middle of your assembly. They have set up their standards as signs.
Actuaron como hombres que talan el bosque con sus hachas.
Cualquiera se hacía famoso según que había levantado el hacha sobre los gruesos maderos.
A man was famous according as he had lifted up axes upon the thick trees.
They behaved like men wielding axes, cutting through a thicket of trees.
Con hachas y martillos destrozaron los paneles tallados.
Y ahora con hachas y martillos han quebrado todas sus entalladuras.
But now they break down the carved work thereof at once with axes and hammers.
Now they break all its carved work down with hatchet and hammers.
Luego prendieron fuego a tu Templo, reduciéndolo a cenizas. Profanaron tu casa, el lugar que lleva tu nombre.
Han puesto á fuego tus santuarios, han profanado el tabernáculo de tu nombre echándolo á tierra.
They have cast fire into thy sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of thy name to the ground.
They have burned your sanctuary to the ground. They have profaned the dwelling place of your Name.
Dijeron para sí mismos: “¡Destruyámoslo todo!” Así que quemaron cada uno de los lugares de adoración a Dios en la tierra.
Dijeron en su corazón: Destruyámoslos de una vez; han quemado todas las sinagogas de Dios en la tierra.
They said in their hearts, Let us destroy them together: they have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land.
They said in their heart, “We will crush them completely.” They have burned up all the places in the land where God was worshiped.
Ya no vemos ninguna de tus señales. No ha quedado ni un profeta, y ninguno entre nosotros sabe hasta cuándo durará esto.
No vemos ya nuestras señales: no hay más profeta; ni con nosotros hay quien sepa hasta cuándo.
We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.
We see no miraculous signs. There is no longer any prophet, neither is there among us anyone who knows how long.
¿Hasta cuándo, Dios, te ridiculizará el enemigo? ¿Van a insultar tu nombre para siempre?
¿Hasta cuándo, oh Dios, el angustiador nos afrentará? ¿ha de blasfemar el enemigo perpetuamente tu nombre?
O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? shall the enemy blaspheme thy name for ever?

¿Por qué te abstienes de actuar? ¡Actúa ahora y destrúyelos!
¿Por qué retraes tu mano, y tu diestra? ¿por qué la escondes dentro de tu seno?
Why withdrawest thou thy hand, even thy right hand? pluck it out of thy bosom.
Why do you draw back your hand, even your right hand? Take it from your chest and consume them!
Pero tu, Dios, eres nuestro rey desde hace mucho tiempo. Nos has salvado muchas veces en esta tierra.
Empero Dios es mi rey ya de antiguo; el que obra saludes en medio de la tierra.
For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.
Yet God is my King of old, working salvation throughout the earth.
Tu fuiste aquél que dividió el mar con tu poder, y rompiste las cabezas de los monstruos marinos.
Tú hendiste la mar con tu fortaleza: quebrantaste cabezas de ballenas en las aguas.
Thou didst divide the sea by thy strength: thou brakest the heads of the dragons in the waters.
You divided the sea by your strength. You broke the heads of the sea monsters in the waters.
Tú fuiste Aquél que aplastó las cabezas de Leviatán, y su cuerpo lo diste a comer a los animales del desierto.
Tú magullaste las cabezas del leviathán; dístelo por comida al pueblo de los desiertos.
Thou brakest the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gavest him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness.
You broke the heads of Leviathan in pieces. You gave him as food to people and desert creatures.
Tú fuiste Aquél que hizo fluir los ríos y fuentes de aguas. También hiciste que los ríos permanentes se secaran.
Tú abriste fuente y río; tú secaste ríos impetuosos.
Thou didst cleave the fountain and the flood: thou driedst up mighty rivers.
You opened up spring and stream. You dried up mighty rivers.
Tú creaste el día y también la noche. Hiciste la luna y el sol.
Tuyo es el día, tuya también es la noche: tú aparejaste la luna y el sol.
The day is thine, the night also is thine: thou hast prepared the light and the sun.
The day is yours, the night is also yours. You have prepared the light and the sun.
Tú estableciste los límites de la tierra; Estableciste el verano y el invierno.
Tú estableciste todos los términos de la tierra: el verano y el invierno tú los formaste.
Thou hast set all the borders of the earth: thou hast made summer and winter.
You have set all the boundaries of the earth. You have made summer and winter.
No olvides cómo el enemigo te ha ridiculizado, Señor, y con cuanto irrespeto han insultado tu nombre.
Acuérdate de esto: que el enemigo ha dicho afrentas á Jehová, y que el pueblo insensato ha blasfemado tu nombre.
Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.

¡No dejes que estos animales salvajes maten a tus tórtolas! ¡No abandones a tu pueblo para siempre!
No entregues á las bestias el alma de tu tórtola: y no olvides para siempre la congregación de tus afligidos.
O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.
Don’t deliver the soul of your dove to wild beasts. Don’t forget the life of your poor forever.
Recuerda la promesa del pacto, porque la tierra está llena de lugares oscuros y de violencia.
Mira al pacto: porque las tenebrosidades de la tierra llenas están de habitaciones de violencia.
Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.
Honor your covenant, for haunts of violence fill the dark places of the earth.
No dejes que los que sufren sean maltratados otra vez. Deja que los pobres y necesitados te alaben.
No vuelva avergonzado el abatido: el afligido y el menesteroso alabarán tu nombre.
O let not the oppressed return ashamed: let the poor and needy praise thy name.

Levántate, Dios, y pelea tu causa. No olvides cuánto te han insultado estas personas necias todo el tiempo.
Levántate, oh Dios, aboga tu causa: acuérdate de cómo el insensato te injuria cada día.
Arise, O God, plead thine own cause: remember how the foolish man reproacheth thee daily.

¡No ignores lo que han dicho tus enemigos, porque sus acusaciones contra ti son cada vez peores!
No olvides las voces de tus enemigos: el alboroto de los que se levantan contra ti sube continuamente.
Forget not the voice of thine enemies: the tumult of those that rise up against thee increaseth continually.
Don’t forget the voice of your adversaries. The tumult of those who rise up against you ascends continually.
