Unto the end, for Idithun, a psalm of Asaph.

In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.

In Judah, God is known. His name is great in Israel.

I cried to the Lord with my voice; to God with my voice, and he gave ear to me.

Y en Salem está su tabernáculo, y su habitación en Sión.

In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.

His tabernacle is also in Salem. His dwelling place in Zion.

In the days of my trouble I sought God, with my hands lifted up to him in the night, and I was not deceived. My soul refused to be comforted:

Allí quebró las saetas del arco, el escudo, y la espada, y tren de guerra. (Selah.)

There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

I remembered God, and was delighted, and was exercised, and my spirit swooned away.

Ilustre eres tú; fuerte, más que los montes de caza.

Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

Glorious are you, and excellent, more than mountains of game.

My eyes prevented the watches: I was troubled, and I spoke not.

Los fuertes de corazón fueron despojados, durmieron su sueño; y nada hallaron en sus manos todos los varones fuertes.

The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.

Valiant men lie plundered, they have slept their last sleep. None of the men of war can lift their hands.

I thought upon the days of old: and I had in my mind the eternal years.

Tú, terrible eres tú: ¿y quién parará delante de ti, en comenzando tu ira?

Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

You, even you, are to be feared. Who can stand in your sight when you are angry?

Will God then cast off for ever? or will he never be more favourable again?

Desde los cielos hiciste oir juicio; la tierra tuvo temor y quedó suspensa,

Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

You pronounced judgment from heaven. The earth feared, and was silent,

Or will he cut off his mercy for ever, from generation to generation?

Cuando te levantaste, oh Dios, al juicio, para salvar á todos los mansos de la tierra. (Selah.)

Or will God forget to shew mercy? or will he in his anger shut up his mercies?

Ciertamente la ira del hombre te acarreará alabanza: tú reprimirás el resto de las iras.

Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

Surely the wrath of man praises you. The survivors of your wrath are restrained.

And I said, Now have I begun: this is the change of the right hand of the most High.

Prometed, y pagad á Jehová vuestro Dios: todos los que están alrededor de él, traigan presentes al Terrible.

Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

Make vows to the LORD your God, and fulfill them! Let all of his neighbors bring presents to him who is to be feared.

I remembered the works of the Lord: for I will be mindful of thy wonders from the beginning.

He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

And I will meditate on all thy works: and will be employed in thy inventions.

The voice of thy thunder in a wheel. Thy lightnings enlightened the world: the earth shook and trembled.

Thy way is in the sea, and thy paths in many waters: and thy footsteps shall not be known.
