1Dem Vorsänger, mit Saitenspiel. Ein Psalm von Asaph, ein Lied. Bekannt ist Gott in Juda, in Israel groß sein Name.
2Und in Salem ist seine Hütte, und seine Wohnung in Zion.
3Dort zerbrach er des Bogens Blitze, Schild und Schwert und Krieg. (Sela.)
4Glanzvoller bist du, herrlicher als die Berge des Raubes.
5Zur Beute sind geworden die Starkherzigen, sie schlafen ihren Schlaf; und keiner der tapferen Männer fand seine Hände.
6Vor deinem Schelten, Gott Jakobs, sind in tiefen Schlaf gesunken sowohl Wagen als Roß.
7Du, du bist furchtbar, und wer kann vor dir bestehen, sobald du erzürnst!
8Du ließest Gericht hören von den Himmeln her; die Erde fürchtete sich und ward stille.
9Als Gott aufstand zum Gericht, um zu retten alle Sanftmütigen des Landes. (Sela.)
10Denn der Grimm des Menschen wird dich preisen; mit dem Rest des Grimmes wirst du dich gürten.
11Tut und bezahlet Gelübde Jehova, eurem Gott; mögen alle, die rings um ihn her sind, Geschenke bringen dem Furchtbaren!
12Er wird abmähen den Geist der Fürsten, er ist furchtbar den Königen der Erde.

4Ilustre eres tú; fuerte, más que los montes de caza.
5Los fuertes de corazón fueron despojados, durmieron su sueño; y nada hallaron en sus manos todos los varones fuertes.
6A tu reprensión, oh Dios de Jacob, el carro y el caballo fueron entorpecidos.
7Tú, terrible eres tú: ¿y quién parará delante de ti, en comenzando tu ira?
8Desde los cielos hiciste oir juicio; la tierra tuvo temor y quedó suspensa,
9Cuando te levantaste, oh Dios, al juicio, para salvar á todos los mansos de la tierra. (Selah.)
10Ciertamente la ira del hombre te acarreará alabanza: tú reprimirás el resto de las iras.
11Prometed, y pagad á Jehová vuestro Dios: todos los que están alrededor de él, traigan presentes al Terrible.
12Cortará él el espíritu de los príncipes: terrible es á los reyes de la tierra.

1In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.
2In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.
3There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.
4Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.
5The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.
6At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
7Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?
8Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,
9When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.
10Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
11Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.
12He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

1In Judah, God is known. His name is great in Israel.
2His tabernacle is also in Salem. His dwelling place in Zion.
3There he broke the flaming arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah.
4Glorious are you, and excellent, more than mountains of game.
5Valiant men lie plundered, they have slept their last sleep. None of the men of war can lift their hands.
6At your rebuke, God of Jacob, both chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.
7You, even you, are to be feared. Who can stand in your sight when you are angry?
8You pronounced judgment from heaven. The earth feared, and was silent,
9when God arose to judgment, to save all the afflicted ones of the earth. Selah.
10Surely the wrath of man praises you. The survivors of your wrath are restrained.
11Make vows to the LORD your God, and fulfill them! Let all of his neighbors bring presents to him who is to be feared.
12He will cut off the spirit of princes. He is feared by the kings of the earth.
