Il donna libre cours à sa colère, Il ne refusa point leurs âmes à la mort, Et il livra leurs vies à la mortalité,

Dispuso el camino á su furor; no eximió la vida de ellos de la muerte, sino que entregó su vida á la mortandad.

He made a way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence;
