Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.
Hear us, Shepherd of Israel, you who lead Joseph like a flock, you who sit above the cherubim, shine out.
¡Resplandece delante de Efraín, Benjamín y Manasés! ¡Muestra tu poder, y ven a salvarnos!
Despierta tu valentía delante de Ephraim, y de Benjamín, y de Manasés, y ven á salvarnos.
Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us.

O LORD God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?

Por comida, nos has dado tristeza; por bebida, nos has dado lágrimas en abundancia,
Dísteles á comer pan de lágrimas, y dísteles á beber lágrimas en gran abundancia.
Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure.
You have fed them with the bread of tears, and given them tears to drink in large measure.
y nos has hecho despreciables para las naciones vecinas. Ellas se ríen.
Pusístenos por contienda á nuestros vecinos: y nuestros enemigos se burlan entre sí.
Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves.

Vuélvenos de nuevo a ti, oh Dios Todopoderoso. Derrama sobre nosotros tu mirada; sólo entonces seremos salvos.

Nos trajiste de Egipto como si fuéramos tierna viña, echaste a los paganos de tu tierra y nos plantaste.
Hiciste venir una vid de Egipto: echaste las gentes, y plantástela.
Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.

Los montes se cubrieron de nuestra sombra; fuimos como cedros imponentes llenos de ramas,

The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars.

¿Por qué has derribado nuestros muros, para que todo el que pase pueda robar nuestros frutos?
¿Por qué aportillaste sus vallados, y la vendimian todos los que pasan por el camino?
Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her?
Why have you broken down its walls, so that all those who pass by the way pluck it?
El jabalí del bosque nos devora, y los animales salvajes, y las bestias salvajes se alimentan de nosotros.
Estropeóla el puerco montés, y pacióla la bestia del campo.
The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it.
The boar out of the wood ravages it. The wild animals of the field feed on it.
Regresa, te lo suplicamos, oh Dios Todopoderoso, y bendícenos. ¡Mira desde el cielo, contempla nuestra situación y cuida esta viña tuya!
Oh Dios de los ejércitos, vuelve ahora: mira desde el cielo, y considera, y visita esta viña,
Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;
Turn again, we beg you, God of Armies. Look down from heaven, and see, and visit this vine,
¡Es la raíz que plantaste con tu diestra! ¡Es el vástago que has criado para ti!
Y la planta que plantó tu diestra, y el renuevo que para ti corroboraste.
And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.
the stock which your right hand planted, the branch that you made strong for yourself.
Porque nuestros enemigos nos han destrozado y quemado. ¡Que perezcan ellos con un solo movimiento de tus ojos!
Quemada á fuego está, asolada: perezcan por la reprensión de tu rostro.
It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

Fortalece al que amas, al hijo elegido por ti,
Sea tu mano sobre el varón de tu diestra, sobre el hijo del hombre que para ti corroboraste.
Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.
Let your hand be on the man of your right hand, on the son of man whom you made strong for yourself.
y jamás te volveremos a abandonar. Revívenos para que volvamos a invocar tu nombre.
Así no nos volveremos de ti: vida nos darás, é invocaremos tu nombre.
So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.
So we will not turn away from you. Revive us, and we will call on your name.
Vuélvenos de nuevo a ti, oh Dios Todopoderoso. Míranos con rostro resplandeciente; sólo entonces seremos salvos.
