Comecem o louvor, com acompanhamento de pandeiros, harpas e liras.
Tomad la canción, y tañed el adufe, el arpa deliciosa con el salterio.
Take a psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
Raise a song, and bring here the tambourine, the pleasant lyre with the harp.
Toquem a trombeta no dia da lua nova! Participem do dia da lua cheia, dia da nossa festa.
Tocad la trompeta en la nueva luna, en el día señalado, en el día de nuestra solemnidad.
Blow up the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.

O Deus de Jacó mesmo decretou ao seu povo esses dias especiais de festa e alegria; na lei, ele marcou os dias certos para cada festa.
Porque estatuto es de Israel, ordenanza del Dios de Jacob.
For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.

Deus nos ordenou essas festas para lembrarmos como ele destruiu os exércitos do Egito e nos tirou da escravidão. Foi então que Deus falou ao povo numa linguagem nova, dizendo:
Por testimonio en José lo ha constituído, cuando salió por la tierra de Egipto; donde oí lenguaje que no entendía.

“Eu tirei as cargas pesadas de seus ombros; livrei as suas mãos de carregar cestos grandes e pesados.

En la calamidad clamaste, y yo te libré: te respondí en el secreto del trueno; te probé sobre las aguas de Meriba. (Selah.)
Thou calledst in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. Selah.

Meu povo, ouça com atenção os meus conselhos e as minhas ordens! Quem dera que vocês me escutassem, ó Israel!
Oye, pueblo mío, y te protestaré. Israel, si me oyeres,
Hear, O my people, and I will testify unto thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken unto me;
“Hear, my people, and I will testify to you, Israel, if you would listen to me!
De maneira alguma vocês devem adorar outros deuses, ou ter imagens de deuses falsos em seus lares!
No habrá en ti dios ajeno, ni te encorvarás á dios extraño.
There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.
There shall be no strange god in you, neither shall you worship any foreign god.
Eu sou o Senhor, o seu Deus, que tirei Israel da terra do Egito. Ainda hoje sou capaz de lhes dar tudo que vocês quiserem!
Yo soy Jehová tu Dios, que te hice subir de la tierra de Egipto: ensancha tu boca, y henchirla he.
I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.

“No entanto, o meu povo não quis me dar ouvidos; Israel não quis obedecer-me.
Mas mi pueblo no oyó mi voz, é Israel no me quiso á mí.
But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would none of me.
But my people didn’t listen to my voice. Israel desired none of me.
Por isso, vou deixar os israelitas teimosos fazerem sua própria vontade e seguirem seus caminhos errados!
Dejélos por tanto á la dureza de su corazón: caminaron en sus consejos.
So I gave them up unto their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.

Oh that my people had hearkened unto me, and Israel had walked in my ways!

então eu destruiria rapidamente os seus inimigos! Minhas mãos cairiam depressa sobre os adversários de Israel.
En una nada habría yo derribado sus enemigos, y vuelto mi mano sobre sus adversarios.
I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.

Aqueles que odeiam o Senhor se curvariam diante dele, e o castigo deles duraria para sempre.
Los aborrecedores de Jehová se le hubieran sometido; y el tiempo de ellos fuera para siempre.
The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves unto him: but their time should have endured for ever.

Eu mesmo alimentaria Israel com o melhor trigo e o mel mais puro que escorre da rocha”.
Y Dios lo hubiera mantenido de grosura de trigo: y de miel de la piedra te hubiera saciado.
He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock should I have satisfied thee.
