Al Músico principal: Salmo para los hijos de Coré. FUISTE propicio á tu tierra, oh Jehová: volviste la cautividad de Jacob.
LORD, thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Jacob.
LORD, you have been favorable to your land. You have restored the fortunes of Jacob.
(085-3) vergabst deines Volkes Schuld, decktest alle ihre Sünden zu, (Pause)
Perdonaste la iniquidad de tu pueblo; todos los pecados de ellos cubriste. (Selah.)
Thou hast forgiven the iniquity of thy people, thou hast covered all their sin. Selah.
You have forgiven the iniquity of your people. You have covered all their sin. Selah.
(085-4) du ließest ab von deinem Grimm, wandtest dich von deines Zornes Glut:
Dejaste toda tu saña: te volviste de la ira de tu furor.
Thou hast taken away all thy wrath: thou hast turned thyself from the fierceness of thine anger.
You have taken away all your wrath. You have turned from the fierceness of your anger.
(085-5) Stelle uns wieder her, o Gott unsres Heils, laß ab von deinem Grimm gegen uns!
Vuélvenos, oh Dios, salud nuestra, y haz cesar tu ira de sobre nosotros.
Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.
Turn us, God of our salvation, and cause your indignation toward us to cease.
(085-6) Oder willst du ewig mit uns zürnen, deinen Zorn währen lassen von Geschlecht zu Geschlecht?
¿Estarás enojado contra nosotros para siempre? ¿extenderás tu ira de generación en generación?
Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?
Will you be angry with us forever? Will you draw out your anger to all generations?
(085-7) Willst du uns nicht wieder neu beleben, daß dein Volk sich deiner freuen kann?
¿No volverás tú á darnos vida, y tu pueblo se alegrará en ti?
Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
Won’t you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you?
(085-8) HERR, laß uns deine Gnade schauen und schenke uns dein Heil!
Muéstranos, oh Jehová, tu misericordia, y danos tu salud.
Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation.
Show us your loving kindness, LORD. Grant us your salvation.
(085-9) Ich will hören, was Gott, der HERR, reden wird; denn er wird Frieden zusagen seinem Volk und seinen Frommen. Nur daß sie sich nicht wieder zur Torheit wenden!
Escucharé lo que hablará el Dios Jehová: porque hablará paz á su pueblo y á sus santos, para que no se conviertan á la locura.
I will hear what God the LORD will speak: for he will speak peace unto his people, and to his saints: but let them not turn again to folly.

(085-10) Gewiß ist sein Heil denen nahe, die ihn fürchten, daß Herrlichkeit in unserm Lande wohne,
Ciertamente cercana está su salud á los que le temen; para que habite la gloria en nuestra tierra.
Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

(085-11) daß Gnade und Wahrheit einander begegnen, Gerechtigkeit und Friede sich küssen,
La misericordia y la verdad se encontraron: la justicia y la paz se besaron.

(085-12) daß Treue aus der Erde sprieße und Gerechtigkeit vom Himmel schaue.
La verdad brotará de la tierra; y la justicia mirará desde los cielos.
Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.

(085-13) Der HERR wird uns auch Gutes geben, und unser Land wird seinen Ertrag abwerfen;
Jehová dará también el bien; y nuestra tierra dará su fruto.
Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.
Yes, the LORD will give that which is good. Our land will yield its increase.
(085-14) Gerechtigkeit wird vor ihm hergehen und ihre Füße setzen auf den Pfad.
La justicia irá delante de él; y sus pasos pondrá en camino.
Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.
Righteousness goes before him, and prepares the way for his steps.
