O LORD God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before thee:
LORD, the God of my salvation, I have cried day and night before you.
(88:3) Let my prayer come unto thy presence; incline thy ear unto my entreaty.
Entre mi oración en tu presencia: inclina tu oído á mi clamor.
Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;
Let my prayer enter into your presence. Turn your ear to my cry.
(88:4) For my soul is sated with troubles; and my life draweth nigh unto the nether world.
Porque mi alma está harta de males, y mi vida cercana al sepulcro.
For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.
For my soul is full of troubles. My life draws near to Sheol.
(88:5) I am counted with those that descend into the pit; I am become as a man without vigor:
Soy contado con los que descienden al hoyo, soy como hombre sin fuerza:
I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength:
I am counted among those who go down into the pit. I am like a man who has no help,
(88:6) Free among the dead, like the slain that dwell in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more; and those that are cut off by thy hand.
Libre entre los muertos, como los matados que yacen en el sepulcro, que no te acuerdas más de ellos, y que son cortados de tu mano.
Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.
set apart among the dead, like the slain who lie in the grave, whom you remember no more. They are cut off from your hand.
(88:7) Thou hast laid me in the pit of the lower world, in darkness, in the depths.
Hasme puesto en el hoyo profundo, en tinieblas, en honduras.
Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.
You have laid me in the lowest pit, in the darkest depths.
(88:8) Upon me lieth heavily thy fury, and with all thy billows hast thou afflicted me. Selah.
Sobre mí se ha acostado tu ira, y me has afligido con todas tus ondas. (Selah.)
Thy wrath lieth hard upon me, and thou hast afflicted me with all thy waves. Selah.
Your wrath lies heavily on me. You have afflicted me with all your waves. Selah.
(88:9) Thou hast removed my acquaintances far from me; thou hast rendered me an abomination unto them: I am imprisoned, and I cannot go forth.
Has alejado de mí mis conocidos: hasme puesto por abominación á ellos: encerrado estoy, y no puedo salir.
Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.
You have taken my friends from me. You have made me an abomination to them. I am confined, and I can’t escape.
(88:10) My eye languisheth by reason of affliction: I call on thee, O Lord, every day, I stretch out unto thee my hands.
Mis ojos enfermaron á causa de mi aflicción: hete llamado, oh Jehová, cada día; he extendido á ti mis manos.
Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.
My eyes are dim from grief. I have called on you daily, LORD. I have spread out my hands to you.
(88:11) Wilt thou display wonders to the dead? shall the departed arise and thank thee? Selah.
¿Harás tú milagro á los muertos? ¿levantaránse los muertos para alabarte? (Selah.)
Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah.
Do you show wonders to the dead? Do the departed spirits rise up and praise you? Selah.
(88:12) Shall thy kindness be related in the grave? thy faithfulness in the place of corruption?
¿Será contada en el sepulcro tu misericordia, ó tu verdad en la perdición?
Shall thy lovingkindness be declared in the grave? or thy faithfulness in destruction?
Is your loving kindness declared in the grave? Or your faithfulness in Destruction?
(88:13) Shall thy wonders be acknowledged in the darkness? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
¿Será conocida en las tinieblas tu maravilla, ni tu justicia en la tierra del olvido?
Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
Are your wonders made known in the dark? Or your righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?
(88:14) Yet I cry indeed aloud unto thee, O Lord; and in the morning shall my prayer come before thee.
Mas yo á ti he clamado, oh Jehová; y de mañana mi oración te previno.
But unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee.
But to you, LORD, I have cried. In the morning, my prayer comes before you.
(88:15) Why, O Lord, wilt thou cast off my soul? why wilt thou hide thy face from me?
¿Por qué, oh Jehová, desechas mi alma? ¿por qué escondes de mí tu rostro?
LORD, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me?
LORD, why do you reject my soul? Why do you hide your face from me?
(88:16) I am afflicted and perishing from my youth up: I bear thy terrors, I am distracted.
Yo soy afligido y menesteroso: desde la mocedad he llevado tus terrores, he estado medroso.
I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.
I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up. While I suffer your terrors, I am distracted.
(88:17) Over me have the fires of thy wrath passed; thy terrors have destroyed me;
Sobre mí han pasado tus iras; tus espantos me han cortado.
Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off.
Your fierce wrath has gone over me. Your terrors have cut me off.
(88:18) They encompass me like water all the time; they have closed in round about me together.
Hanme rodeado como aguas de continuo; hanme cercado á una.
They came round about me daily like water; they compassed me about together.
They came around me like water all day long. They completely engulfed me.
(88:19) Thou hast removed far from me lover and friend, my acquaintances are in darkness.
Has alejado de mí el amigo y el compañero; y mis conocidos se esconden en la tiniebla.
Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness.
You have put lover and friend far from me, and my friends into darkness.
