Entre mi oración en tu presencia: inclina tu oído á mi clamor.
Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;

Não há mais lugar em meu coração para tantas tristezas e males; sinto que estou muito próximo da morte.
Porque mi alma está harta de males, y mi vida cercana al sepulcro.
For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.

Todos dizem que é apenas uma questão de tempo, que já estou praticamente descendo à sepultura.

Fui contado entre os mortos, como um soldado qualquer que morre e fica estendido no campo de batalha, dos quais o Senhor já não lembra, pois foram abandonados à própria sorte.
Libre entre los muertos, como los matados que yacen en el sepulcro, que no te acuerdas más de ellos, y que son cortados de tu mano.

O Senhor me lançou num abismo profundo, num buraco muito escuro.
Hasme puesto en el hoyo profundo, en tinieblas, en honduras.
Thou hast laid me in the lowest pit, in darkness, in the deeps.

A sua ira pesa sobre mim; uma após outra, as suas ondas me encobrem e derrubam.
Sobre mí se ha acostado tu ira, y me has afligido con todas tus ondas. (Selah.)

O Senhor afastou de mim os meus melhores amigos; eles me detestam. Estou trancado numa prisão e não consigo fugir!
Has alejado de mí mis conocidos: hasme puesto por abominación á ellos: encerrado estoy, y no puedo salir.
Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.
You have taken my friends from me. You have made me an abomination to them. I am confined, and I can’t escape.
Desesperado, chorei tanto que já não enxergo direito; todos os dias, sem parar, eu ergo as minhas mãos e peço a sua ajuda, Senhor.
Mis ojos enfermaron á causa de mi aflicción: hete llamado, oh Jehová, cada día; he extendido á ti mis manos.
Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.

Será que o Senhor mostra suas maravilhas aos mortos? Será que os mortos se levantam e o louvam?
¿Harás tú milagro á los muertos? ¿levantaránse los muertos para alabarte? (Selah.)
Wilt thou shew wonders to the dead? shall the dead arise and praise thee? Selah.

Depois de morto não poderei falar aos outros do seu amor; na sepultura não poderei mostrar aos homens como o Senhor é fiel.

No mundo das trevas, quem irá contar as suas maravilhas? Quem anunciará a sua justiça na terra do esquecimento?
¿Será conocida en las tinieblas tu maravilla, ni tu justicia en la tierra del olvido?
Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

Por isso, enquanto estou vivo, Senhor, clamo por seu socorro com gritos e gemidos! Muito antes de o sol raiar, a minha oração já chega à sua presença.
Mas yo á ti he clamado, oh Jehová; y de mañana mi oración te previno.
But unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee.
But to you, LORD, I have cried. In the morning, my prayer comes before you.
Por que, Senhor, não quer que eu viva na sua presença? Por que esconde o seu rosto de mim?
¿Por qué, oh Jehová, desechas mi alma? ¿por qué escondes de mí tu rostro?
LORD, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me?
LORD, why do you reject my soul? Why do you hide your face from me?
Desde moço ando fraco e abatido. O peso do seu castigo me deixou confuso e desorientado.
Yo soy afligido y menesteroso: desde la mocedad he llevado tus terrores, he estado medroso.
I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.

Fui arrastado pelas ondas da sua ira; os seus golpes violentos acabaram comigo.
