Por favor escucha mi oración; escucha mis palabras de súplica.
Entre mi oración en tu presencia: inclina tu oído á mi clamor.
Let my prayer come before thee: incline thine ear unto my cry;
Let my prayer enter into your presence. Turn your ear to my cry.
Mi vida está llena de problemas, y mi muerte se acerca.
Porque mi alma está harta de males, y mi vida cercana al sepulcro.
For my soul is full of troubles: and my life draweth nigh unto the grave.

Soy contado entre los moribundos; un hombre sin fuerzas.
Soy contado con los que descienden al hoyo, soy como hombre sin fuerza:
I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as a man that hath no strength:

Soy abandonado entre los muertos, tendido como un cadáver en la tumba, olvidado y dejado a tu cuidado.
Libre entre los muertos, como los matados que yacen en el sepulcro, que no te acuerdas más de ellos, y que son cortados de tu mano.
Free among the dead, like the slain that lie in the grave, whom thou rememberest no more: and they are cut off from thy hand.

Has hecho que mis enemigos me eviten, haciéndome repulsivo a sus vistas. Estoy atrapado, no puedo huir.
Has alejado de mí mis conocidos: hasme puesto por abominación á ellos: encerrado estoy, y no puedo salir.
Thou hast put away mine acquaintance far from me; thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.

Señor, he llorado suplicándote cada día por ayuda, extendiendo mis manos hacia ti.
Mis ojos enfermaron á causa de mi aflicción: hete llamado, oh Jehová, cada día; he extendido á ti mis manos.
Mine eye mourneth by reason of affliction: LORD, I have called daily upon thee, I have stretched out my hands unto thee.

Shall thy wonders be known in the dark? and thy righteousness in the land of forgetfulness?

Pero clamo a ti pidiendo ayuda; cada mañana oro a ti.
Mas yo á ti he clamado, oh Jehová; y de mañana mi oración te previno.
But unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee.

Señor, ¿Por qué me rechazas? ¿Por qué te alejas de mí?

He estado enfermo desde que era joven, a menudo estuve a las puertas de la muerte. He tenido que soportar las cosas terribles que me has hecho. ¡Estoy desesperado!
