Cantico di Etan l’Ezrahita. Io canterò in perpetuo le benignità dell’Eterno; con la mia bocca farò nota la tua fedeltà d’età in età.

Masquil de Ethán Ezrahita. LAS misericordias de Jehová cantaré perpetuamente: en generación y generación haré notoria tu verdad con mi boca.

I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

I will sing of the loving kindness of the LORD forever. With my mouth, I will make known your faithfulness to all generations.

Poiché ho detto: La tua benignità sarà stabile in eterno; nei cieli stessi tu stabilisci la tua fedeltà.

Porque dije: Para siempre será edificada misericordia; en los mismos cielos apoyarás tu verdad.

For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.

I indeed declare, “Love stands firm forever. You established the heavens. Your faithfulness is in them.”

Io, dice l’Eterno, ho fatto un patto col mio eletto; ho fatto questo giuramento a Davide, mio servitore:

Hice alianza con mi escogido; juré á David mi siervo, diciendo:

I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,

“I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David, my servant,

Io stabilirò la tua progenie in eterno, ed edificherò il tuo trono per ogni età. Sela.

Para siempre confirmaré tu simiente, y edificaré tu trono por todas las generaciones. (Selah.)

Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.

‘I will establish your offspring forever, and build up your throne to all generations.’” Selah.

Anche i cieli celebrano le tue maraviglie, o Eterno, e la tua fedeltà nell’assemblea dei santi.

Y celebrarán los cielos tu maravilla, oh Jehová; tu verdad también en la congregación de los santos.

And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.

The heavens will praise your wonders, LORD, your faithfulness also in the assembly of the holy ones.

Poiché chi, nei cieli, è paragonabile all’Eterno? Chi è simile all’Eterno tra i figli di Dio?

Porque ¿quién en los cielos se igualará con Jehová? ¿quién será semejante á Jehová entre los hijos de los potentados?

For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?

For who in the skies can be compared to the LORD? Who among the sons of the heavenly beings is like the LORD,

Iddio è molto terribile nell’assemblea dei santi, e più tremendo di tutti quelli che l’attorniano.

Dios terrible en la grande congregación de los santos, y formidable sobre todos cuantos están alrededor suyo.

God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.

a very awesome God in the council of the holy ones, to be feared above all those who are around him?

O Eterno, Iddio degli eserciti, chi è potente come te, o Eterno? E la tua fedeltà ti circonda da ogni parte.

Oh Jehová, Dios de los ejércitos, ¿quién como tú? Poderoso eres, Jehová, y tu verdad está en torno de ti.

O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?

LORD, God of Armies, who is a mighty one, like you? LORD, your faithfulness is around you.

Tu domi l’orgoglio del mare; quando le sue onde s’innalzano, tu le acqueti.

Tú tienes dominio sobre la bravura de la mar: cuando se levantan sus ondas, tú las sosiegas.

Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.

You rule the pride of the sea. When its waves rise up, you calm them.

Tu hai fiaccato l’Egitto, ferendolo a morte; col tuo braccio potente, hai disperso i tuoi nemici.

Tú quebrantaste á Rahab como á un muerto: con el brazo de tu fortaleza esparciste á tus enemigos.

Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.

You have broken Rahab in pieces, like one of the slain. You have scattered your enemies with your mighty arm.

I cieli son tuoi, tua pure è la terra; tu hai fondato il mondo e tutto ciò ch’è in esso.

Tuyos los cielos, tuya también la tierra: el mundo y su plenitud, tú lo fundaste.

The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.

The heavens are yours. The earth also is yours, the world and its fullness. You have founded them.

Hai creato il settentrione e il mezzodì; il Tabor e l’Hermon mandan grida di gioia al tuo nome.

Al aquilón y al austro tú los criaste: Tabor y Hermón cantarán en tu nombre.

The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.

You have created the north and the south. Tabor and Hermon rejoice in your name.

Tu hai un braccio potente; la tua mano è forte, alta è la tua destra.

Tuyo el brazo con valentía; fuerte es tu mano, ensalzada tu diestra.

Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.

You have a mighty arm. Your hand is strong, and your right hand is exalted.

Giustizia e diritto son la base del tuo trono, benignità e verità van davanti alla tua faccia.

Justicia y juicio son el asiento de tu trono: misericordia y verdad van delante de tu rostro.

Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne. Loving kindness and truth go before your face.

Beato il popolo che conosce il grido di giubilo; esso cammina, o Eterno, alla luce del tuo volto;

Bienaventurado el pueblo que sabe aclamarte: andarán, oh Jehová, á la luz de tu rostro.

Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.

Blessed are the people who learn to acclaim you. They walk in the light of your presence, LORD.

festeggia del continuo nel tuo nome, ed è esaltato dalla tua giustizia.

En tu nombre se alegrarán todo el día; y en tu justicia serán ensalzados.

In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.

In your name they rejoice all day. In your righteousness, they are exalted.

Perché tu sei la gloria della loro forza; e la nostra potenza è esaltata dal tuo favore.

Porque tú eres la gloria de su fortaleza; y por tu buena voluntad ensalzarás nuestro cuerno.

For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.

For you are the glory of their strength. In your favor, our horn will be exalted.

Poiché il nostro scudo appartiene all’Eterno, e il nostro re al Santo d’Israele.

Porque Jehová es nuestro escudo; y nuestro rey es el Santo de Israel.

For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.

For our shield belongs to the LORD, our king to the Holy One of Israel.

Tu parlasti già in visione al tuo diletto, e dicesti: Ho prestato aiuto a un prode, ho innalzato un eletto d’infra il popolo.

Entonces hablaste en visión á tu santo, y dijiste: Yo he puesto el socorro sobre valiente; he ensalzado un escogido de mi pueblo.

Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.

Then you spoke in vision to your saints, and said, “I have given strength to the warrior. I have exalted a young man from the people.

Ho trovato Davide, mio servitore, l’ho unto con l’olio mio santo;

Hallé á David mi siervo; ungílo con el aceite de mi santidad.

I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:

I have found David, my servant. I have anointed him with my holy oil,

la mia mano sarà salda nel sostenerlo, e il mio braccio lo fortificherà.

Mi mano será firme con él, mi brazo también lo fortificará.

With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.

with whom my hand shall be established. My arm will also strengthen him.

Il nemico non lo sorprenderà, e il perverso non l’opprimerà.

No lo avasallará enemigo, ni hijo de iniquidad lo quebrantará.

The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

No enemy will tax him. No wicked man will oppress him.

Io fiaccherò dinanzi a lui i suoi nemici, e sconfiggerò quelli che l’odiano.

Mas yo quebrantaré delante de él á sus enemigos, y heriré á sus aborrecedores.

And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.

I will beat down his adversaries before him, and strike those who hate him.

La mia fedeltà e la mia benignità saranno con lui, e nel mio nome la sua potenza sarà esaltata.

Y mi verdad y mi misericordia serán con él; y en mi nombre será ensalzado su cuerno.

But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.

But my faithfulness and my loving kindness will be with him. In my name, his horn will be exalted.

E stenderò la sua mano sul mare, e la sua destra sui fiumi.

Asimismo pondré su mano en la mar, y en los ríos su diestra.

I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.

I will set his hand also on the sea, and his right hand on the rivers.

Egli m’invocherà, dicendo: Tu sei il mio Padre, il mio Dio, e la ròcca della mia salvezza.

El me llamará: Mi padre eres tú, mi Dios, y la roca de mi salud.

He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.

He will call to me, ‘You are my Father, my God, and the rock of my salvation!’

Io altresì lo farò il primogenito, il più eccelso dei re della terra.

Yo también le pondré por primogénito, alto sobre los reyes de la tierra.

Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.

I will also appoint him my firstborn, the highest of the kings of the earth.

Io gli conserverò la mia benignità in perpetuo, e il mio patto rimarrà fermo con lui.

Para siempre le conservaré mi misericordia; y mi alianza será firme con él.

My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.

I will keep my loving kindness for him forever more. My covenant will stand firm with him.

Io renderò la sua progenie eterna, e il suo trono simile ai giorni de’ cieli.

Y pondré su simiente para siempre, y su trono como los días de los cielos.

His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

I will also make his offspring endure forever, and his throne as the days of heaven.

Se i suoi figliuoli abbandonan la mia legge e non camminano secondo i miei ordini,

Si dejaren sus hijos mi ley, y no anduvieren en mis juicios;

If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;

If his children forsake my law, and don’t walk in my ordinances;

se violano i miei statuti e non osservano i miei comandamenti,

Si profanaren mis estatutos, y no guardaren mis mandamientos;

If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;

if they break my statutes, and don’t keep my commandments;

io punirò la loro trasgressione con la verga, e la loro iniquità con percosse;

Entonces visitaré con vara su rebelión, y con azotes sus iniquidades.

Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

then I will punish their sin with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.

ma non gli ritirerò la mia benignità, e non smentirò la mia fedeltà.

Mas no quitaré de él mi misericordia, ni falsearé mi verdad.

Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.

But I will not completely take my loving kindness from him, nor allow my faithfulness to fail.

Io non violerò il mio patto, e non muterò ciò ch’è uscito dalle mie labbra.

No olvidaré mi pacto, ni mudaré lo que ha salido de mis labios.

My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.

I will not break my covenant, nor alter what my lips have uttered.

Una cosa ho giurata per la mia santità, e non mentirò a Davide:

Una vez he jurado por mi santidad, que no mentiré á David.

Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.

Once I have sworn by my holiness, I will not lie to David.

La sua progenie durerà in eterno, e il suo trono sarà davanti a me come il sole,

Su simiente será para siempre, y su trono como el sol delante de mí.

His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.

His offspring will endure forever, his throne like the sun before me.

sarà stabile in perpetuo come la luna; e il testimone ch’è nei cieli è fedele. Sela.

Como la luna será firme para siempre, y como un testigo fiel en el cielo. (Selah.)

It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.

It will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness in the sky.” Selah.

Eppure tu l’hai reietto e sprezzato, ti sei gravemente adirato contro il tuo unto.

Mas tú desechaste y menospreciaste á tu ungido; y te has airado con él.

But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.

But you have rejected and spurned. You have been angry with your anointed.

Tu hai rinnegato il patto stretto col tuo servitore, hai profanato la sua corona gettandola a terra.

Rompiste el pacto de tu siervo; has profanado su corona hasta la tierra.

Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.

You have renounced the covenant of your servant. You have defiled his crown in the dust.

Tu hai rotto i suoi ripari, hai ridotto in ruine le sue fortezze.

Aportillaste todos sus vallados; has quebrantado sus fortalezas.

Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.

You have broken down all his hedges. You have brought his strongholds to ruin.

Tutti i passanti l’han saccheggiato, è diventato il vituperio de’ suoi vicini.

Menoscabáronle todos los que pasaron por el camino: es oprobio á sus vecinos.

All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.

All who pass by the way rob him. He has become a reproach to his neighbors.

Tu hai esaltato la destra de’ suoi avversari, hai rallegrato tutti i suoi nemici.

Has ensalzado la diestra de sus enemigos; has alegrado á todos sus adversarios.

Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.

You have exalted the right hand of his adversaries. You have made all of his enemies rejoice.

Tu hai fatto ripiegare il taglio della sua spada, e non l’hai sostenuto nella battaglia.

Embotaste asimismo el filo de su espada, y no lo levantaste en la batalla.

Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.

Yes, you turn back the edge of his sword, and haven’t supported him in battle.

Tu hai fatto cessare il suo splendore, e hai gettato a terra il suo trono.

Hiciste cesar su brillo, y echaste su trono por tierra.

Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.

You have ended his splendor, and thrown his throne down to the ground.

Tu hai scorciato i giorni della sua giovinezza, l’hai coperto di vergogna. Sela.

Has acortado los días de su juventud; hasle cubierto de afrenta. (Selah.)

The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.

You have shortened the days of his youth. You have covered him with shame. Selah.

Fino a quando, o Eterno, ti nasconderai tu del continuo, e l’ira tua arderà come un fuoco?

¿Hasta cuándo, oh Jehová? ¿te esconderás para siempre? ¿arderá tu ira como el fuego?

How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?

How long, LORD? Will you hide yourself forever? Will your wrath burn like fire?

Ricordati quant’è fugace la mia vita, per qual nulla tu hai creato tutti i figliuoli degli uomini!

Acuérdate de cuán corto sea mi tiempo: ¿por qué habrás criado en vano á todos los hijos del hombre?

Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?

Remember how short my time is, for what vanity you have created all the children of men!

Qual è l’uomo che viva senza veder la morte? che scampi l’anima sua dal potere del soggiorno de’ morti? Sela.

¿Qué hombre vivirá y no verá muerte? ¿librarás su vida del poder del sepulcro? (Selah.)

What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.

What man is he who shall live and not see death, who shall deliver his soul from the power of Sheol? Selah.

Signore, dove sono le tue benignità antiche, le quali giurasti a Davide nella tua fedeltà?

Señor, ¿dónde están tus antiguas misericordias, que juraste á David por tu verdad?

Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?

Lord, where are your former loving kindnesses, which you swore to David in your faithfulness?

Ricorda, o Signore, il vituperio fatto ai tuoi servitori: ricordati ch’io porto in seno quello di tutti i grandi popoli,

Señor, acuérdate del oprobio de tus siervos; oprobio que llevo yo en mi seno de muchos pueblos.

Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;

Remember, Lord, the reproach of your servants, how I bear in my heart the taunts of all the mighty peoples,

il vituperio di cui t’hanno coperto i tuoi nemici, o Eterno, il vituperio che han gettato sui passi del tuo unto.

Porque tus enemigos, oh Jehová, han deshonrado, porque tus enemigos han deshonrado los pasos de tu ungido.

Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.

With which your enemies have mocked, LORD, with which they have mocked the footsteps of your anointed one.

Benedetto sia l’Eterno in perpetuo. Amen, Amen!
