De la boca de los chiquitos y de los que maman, fundaste la fortaleza, á causa de tus enemigos, para hacer cesar al enemigo, y al que se venga.
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
From the lips of babes and infants you have established strength, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.
Aus dem Mund von (Wegen der, Wegen dem dem Klagen der) Babies und Säuglingen hast du ein Bollwerk (Kraft, Macht, Schutz, Festung; Lob) errichtet (grundgelegt) um deiner Gegner willen, um dem Feind und dem Rachgierigen (Rächern, Rachsüchtigen) ein Ende zu bereiten (um sie zum Schweigen zu bringen, zu vernichten).

denke ich (sage ich, rufe ich): Was ist das Menschlein (der Mensch, die Menschheit, der Sterbliche), dass du dich seiner erinnerst (dich um es kümmerst) und was das Menschenkind (der Mensch, der Sohn des Menschen, das Kind des Menschen, der Menschensohn), dass du es beachtest (auf es achtest, für es sorgst)?

Nur ein Stäubchen (ein bisschen, nur wenig) ließest du ihm fehlen zu (ließest ihn geringer sein als) Gott (Göttern, Engeln, himmlischen/übernatürliche Wesen), um ihn mit Herrlichkeit (Hoheit, Würde, Ehre) und Pracht zu krönen (segnen, hast ihn mit Herrlichkeit und Pracht gekrönt).

Um ihn herrschen zu lassen (und machtest ihn zum Herrscher / Herrn, um ihn als Herrscher / Herrn einzusetzen) über das Werk deiner Hände (Macht) hast du ihm alles (alle Dinge) zu Füßen gelegt.
