O Senhor usa as criancinhas e os recém-nascidos para mostrar aos seus inimigos como é grande o seu poder. Assim, o Senhor calou os inimigos que buscam a vingança.
De la boca de los chiquitos y de los que maman, fundaste la fortaleza, á causa de tus enemigos, para hacer cesar al enemigo, y al que se venga.
Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.
From the lips of babes and infants you have established strength, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.
Quando, admirado, olho os céus que o Senhor criou com as suas mãos, a lua e as estrelas que lançou no espaço,
Cuando veo tus cielos, obra de tus dedos, la luna y las estrellas que tú formaste:
When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

pergunto: Afinal, por que Deus dá tanta atenção ao homem? Quem é o filho do homem para que o visite?
Digo: ¿Qué es el hombre, para que tengas de él memoria, y el hijo del hombre, que lo visites?
What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
