O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
LORD, you God to whom vengeance belongs, you God to whom vengeance belongs, shine out.
Lève-toi, juge de la terre, Rends la pareille aux orgueilleux !
Ensálzate, oh Juez de la tierra: da el pago á los soberbios.
Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.
Rise up, you judge of the earth. Pay back the proud what they deserve.
Jusques à quand les méchants, Eternel, Jusques à quand les méchants triompheront-ils ?
¿Hasta cuándo los impíos, hasta cuándo, oh Jehová, se gozarán los impíos?

Ils répandent à flots des propos arrogants, Ils se glorifient, eux tous, ouvriers d'iniquité.
¿Hasta cuándo pronunciarán, hablarán cosas duras, y se vanagloriarán todos los que obran iniquidad?
How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
They pour out arrogant words. All the evildoers boast.
Ils écrasent ton peuple, ô Eternel, Ils oppriment ton héritage ;
A tu pueblo, oh Jehová, quebrantan, y á tu heredad afligen.
They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.
They break your people in pieces, LORD, and afflict your heritage.
Ils tuent la veuve et l'étranger, Ils mettent à mort les orphelins,
A la viuda y al extanjero matan, y á los huérfanos quitan la vida.
They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
They kill the widow and the alien, and murder the fatherless.
Et ils disent : L'Eternel ne le voit pas, Le Dieu de Jacob n'y prend pas garde.
Y dijeron: No verá JAH, ni entenderá el Dios de Jacob.
Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.
They say, “The LORD will not see, neither will Jacob’s God consider.”
Prenez-y garde, hommes stupides du peuple ! Et vous, insensés, quand aurez-vous du sens ?
Entended, necios del pueblo; y vosotros fatuos, ¿cuándo seréis sabios?
Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?
Consider, you senseless among the people; you fools, when will you be wise?
Celui qui a planté l'oreille, n'entendrait-il pas ? Celui qui a formé l'œil, ne verrait-il pas ?
El que plantó el oído, ¿no oirá? el que formó el ojo, ¿no verá?
He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
He who implanted the ear, won’t he hear? He who formed the eye, won’t he see?
Celui qui reprend les nations, ne punirait-il pas ? Lui qui donne aux hommes l'intelligence !
El que castiga las gentes, ¿no reprenderá? ¿no sabrá el que enseña al hombre la ciencia?
He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?
He who disciplines the nations, won’t he punish? He who teaches man knows.
L'Eternel connaît les pensées des hommes, Il sait qu'ils ne sont que vanité.
Jehová conoce los pensamientos de los hombres, que son vanidad.
The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile.
Heureux l'homme que tu reprends, Eternel, Et que tu enseignes par ta loi,
Bienaventurado el hombre á quien tú, JAH, castigares, y en tu ley lo instruyeres;
Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

Pour lui donner du repos aux mauvais jours, Jusqu'à ce que la fosse soit creusée pour le méchant.
Para tranquilizarle en los días de aflicción, en tanto que para el impío se cava el hoyo.
That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

Car l'Eternel ne rejette point son peuple Et n'abandonne point son héritage,
Porque no dejará Jehová su pueblo, ni desamparará su heredad;
For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

Car le jugement se conformera au droit ; Et à sa suite marcheront tous ceux qui sont droits de cœur.
Sino que el juicio será vuelto á justicia, y en pos de ella irán todos los rectos de corazón.

Qui se lèvera pour moi contre les méchants ? Qui tiendra pour moi contre les ouvriers d'iniquité ?
¿Quién se levantará por mí contra los malignos? ¿quién estará por mí contra los que obran iniquidad?
Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

Si l'Eternel ne m'avait secouru, Il s'en eût peu fallu que mon âme n'habitât le séjour du silence !
Si no me ayudara Jehová, presto morara mi alma en el silencio.
Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

Pourrait-il t'avoir pour allié, le trône de méchanceté, Qui forge des injustices au nom de la loi ?
¿Juntaráse contigo el trono de iniquidades, que forma agravio en el mandamiento?
Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with you, which brings about mischief by statute?
Ils se jettent sur l'âme du juste Et déclarent coupable le sang innocent.
Pónense en corros contra la vida del justo, y condenan la sangre inocente.

Il fera retomber sur eux leur iniquité, Et par leur méchanceté, il les détruira. Il les détruira, l'Eternel notre Dieu.
Y él hará tornar sobre ellos su iniquidad, y los destruirá por su propia maldad; los talará Jehová nuestro Dios.
