Engrandécete, oh Juez de la tierra; Da el pago a los soberbios.

Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.
Rise up, you judge of the earth. Pay back the proud what they deserve.

How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
They pour out arrogant words. All the evildoers boast.
A tu pueblo, oh Jehová, quebrantan, Y a tu heredad posesión afligen.

They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.

Entiendan, necios del pueblo; Y ustedes, fatuos, ¿cuándo serán sabios?

Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?
Consider, you senseless among the people; you fools, when will you be wise?
El que hizo el oído, ¿no oirá? El que formó el ojo, ¿no verá?
El que plantó el oído, ¿no oirá? el que formó el ojo, ¿no verá?
He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?

El que castiga a las naciones, ¿no reprenderá? ¿No sabrá el que enseña al hombre la ciencia?

He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?
He who disciplines the nations, won’t he punish? He who teaches man knows.

Dichoso afortunado, bienaventurado el hombre a quien tú, JAH, corriges, Y en tu ley lo instruyes,

Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;

Para hacerle descansar en los días de aflicción, En tanto que para el impío irreverente y sin ley se cava el hoyo.

That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.

Porque no abandonará Jehová a su pueblo, Ni desamparará su heredad posesión,

For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

Sino que el juicio será vuelto a la justicia, Y detrás de ella irán todos los rectos de corazón.

¿Se juntará contigo el trono de iniquidades grandes maldades e injusticias Que hace agravio bajo forma de ley?

Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with you, which brings about mischief by statute?
Se juntan contra la vida del justo, Y condenan la sangre inocente.
Pónense en corros contra la vida del justo, y condenan la sangre inocente.
