JEHOVÁ, Dios de las venganzas, Dios de las venganzas, muéstrate.
O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.
LORD, you God to whom vengeance belongs, you God to whom vengeance belongs, shine out.
Haz, pues, brillar tu grandeza, ¡oh Juez supremo de la tierra!; da su merecido a los soberbios.
Ensálzate, oh Juez de la tierra: da el pago á los soberbios.
Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.
Rise up, you judge of the earth. Pay back the proud what they deserve.
¿Hasta cuándo, Señor, los pecadores, hasta cuándo estarán vanagloriándose?
¿Hasta cuándo los impíos, hasta cuándo, oh Jehová, se gozarán los impíos?
LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?
LORD, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph?
¿Charlarán, hablarán inicuamente, se jactarán siempre todos los que obran iniquidad?
¿Hasta cuándo pronunciarán, hablarán cosas duras, y se vanagloriarán todos los que obran iniquidad?
How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?
They pour out arrogant words. All the evildoers boast.
¡Ah! Señor, ellos han abatido a tu pueblo, han devastado tu heredad.
A tu pueblo, oh Jehová, quebrantan, y á tu heredad afligen.
They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.
They break your people in pieces, LORD, and afflict your heritage.
Han asesinado a la viuda y al extranjero, y han quitado la vida al huérfano.
A la viuda y al extanjero matan, y á los huérfanos quitan la vida.
They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.
They kill the widow and the alien, and murder the fatherless.
Y dijeron: No lo verá el Señor; no sabrá nada el Dios de Jacob .
Y dijeron: No verá JAH, ni entenderá el Dios de Jacob.
Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.
They say, “The LORD will not see, neither will Jacob’s God consider.”
Reflexionad, ¡oh hombres los más insensatos del pueblo!, entrad en conocimiento; tened finalmente cordura, vosotros, mentecatos.
Entended, necios del pueblo; y vosotros fatuos, ¿cuándo seréis sabios?
Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?
Consider, you senseless among the people; you fools, when will you be wise?
Aquel que ha dado los oídos, ¿no oirá? El que ha dado los ojos, ¿no verá?
El que plantó el oído, ¿no oirá? el que formó el ojo, ¿no verá?
He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
He who implanted the ear, won’t he hear? He who formed the eye, won’t he see?
¿No os ha de llamar a juicio el que castiga a todas las naciones?, ¿aquel que da la ciencia al hombre?
El que castiga las gentes, ¿no reprenderá? ¿no sabrá el que enseña al hombre la ciencia?
He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?
He who disciplines the nations, won’t he punish? He who teaches man knows.
Conoce el Señor los pensamientos de los hombres, y cuán vanas son sus ideas.
Jehová conoce los pensamientos de los hombres, que son vanidad.
The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.
The LORD knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile.
Bienaventurado el hombre a quien tú ¡oh Señor!, hayas instruido y amaestrado en tu ley,
Bienaventurado el hombre á quien tú, JAH, castigares, y en tu ley lo instruyeres;
Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;
Blessed is the man whom you discipline, LORD, and teach out of your law,
para hacerle menos penosos los días aciagos, mientras tanto que al pecador se le abre la fosa.
Para tranquilizarle en los días de aflicción, en tanto que para el impío se cava el hoyo.
That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.
that you may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.
Porque no ha de abandonar el Señor a su pueblo, ni dejar desamparada su heredad;
Porque no dejará Jehová su pueblo, ni desamparará su heredad;
For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

sino que el juicio se ejercerá con justicia, y le seguirán todos los rectos de corazón.
Sino que el juicio será vuelto á justicia, y en pos de ella irán todos los rectos de corazón.
But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.

Mas entretanto, ¿quién se pondrá de mi parte contra los malvados?; ¿quién saldrá a favor mío contra los que obran la iniquidad?
¿Quién se levantará por mí contra los malignos? ¿quién estará por mí contra los que obran iniquidad?
Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?

¡Ah! Si el Señor no me hubiese socorrido, seguramente sería ya el sepulcro mi morada.
Si no me ayudara Jehová, presto morara mi alma en el silencio.
Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.

Si yo, ¡oh Señor!, te decía: Mi pie va a resbalar, acudía a sostenerme tu misericordia.
Cuando yo decía: Mi pie resbala: tu misericordia, oh Jehová, me sustentaba.
When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.
When I said, “My foot is slipping!” Your loving kindness, LORD, held me up.
A proporción de los muchos dolores que atormentaron mi corazón, tus consuelos llenaron de alegría mi alma.
En la multitud de mis pensamientos dentro de mí, tus consolaciones alegraban mi alma.
In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.

Porque, ¿acaso estás tú sentado en algún tribunal injusto, cuando nos impones penosos preceptos?
¿Juntaráse contigo el trono de iniquidades, que forma agravio en el mandamiento?
Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?
Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with you, which brings about mischief by statute?
Andan los malvados a caza del justo, y condenan la sangre inocente.
Pónense en corros contra la vida del justo, y condenan la sangre inocente.
They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

Pero el Señor me ha servido de refugio; ha sido mi Dios el sostén de mi esperanza.

Y por su malicia los hará perecer. Los destruirá el Señor Dios nuestro.
Y él hará tornar sobre ellos su iniquidad, y los destruirá por su propia maldad; los talará Jehová nuestro Dios.
And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.
