onde seus antepassados desafiaram a Minha autoridade e provaram a Minha paciência, apesar de terem visto as Minhas obras.

Por quarenta anos, Eu estive irado com aquela geração e disse: 'Esse é um povo cujo coração se desvia; não conhece os Meus caminhos.'

Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:

Por isso, jurei na Minha ira que eles não entrariam no Meu lugar de descanso."
Por tanto juré en mi furor que no entrarían en mi reposo.
