porque él es nuestro Dios. Nosotros somos el pueblo al que él vigila, ovejas de su rebaño a las que cuida. ¡Ah, que hoy escucharan ustedes su llamado y acudieran a él!

No endurezcan su corazón como lo hizo Israel en el desierto, en Meribá y Masá.
No endurezcáis vuestro corazón como en Meriba, como el día de Masa en el desierto;
Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:

Porque allí sus padres dudaron de mí y me pusieron a prueba, a pesar de haber visto mis obras. ¡Cómo abusaron de mi paciencia con sus quejas!
Donde me tentaron vuestros padres, probáronme, y vieron mi obra.

Cuarenta años estuve disgustado con la nación, y dije: Pueblo es que divaga de corazón, y no han conocido mis caminos.

Así que, en mi enojo, hice un juramento: “Jamás entrarán en mi reposo”».
Por tanto juré en mi furor que no entrarían en mi reposo.
