O Senhor defende a minha justa causa e os meus direitos. Como juiz, se assentou no seu trono e me julga com justiça.

O Senhor corrige as nações e castiga com a morte o mau, riscando seu nome da memória da humanidade.
Reprendiste gentes, destruiste al malo, raíste el nombre de ellos para siempre jamás.
Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.

Meu inimigo já está derrotado, destruído por completo, suas cidades estão em ruínas, para sempre, esquecidas pelo resto das nações!
Oh enemigo, acabados son para siempre los asolamientos; y las ciudades que derribaste, su memoria pereció con ellas.
O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.
The enemy is overtaken by endless ruin. The very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished.
Mas o Senhor vive para sempre. Ele está assentado em seu trono eterno, o trono que preparou para o julgamento.

Por isso, Senhor, quem conhece o seu nome confia no Senhor, porque ele jamais abandona aqueles que o procuram sinceramente.

Aquele que pede contas do sangue derramado não esquece; ele ouve com atenção o clamor dos aflitos.
