1(12:18) Und ich stand auf dem Sande des Meeres. (13:1) Und ich sah aus dem Meere ein Tier aufsteigen, welches zehn Hörner und sieben Köpfe hatte, und auf seinen Hörnern zehn Diademe, und auf seinen Köpfen Namen der Lästerung.
2Und das Tier, das ich sah, war gleich einem Pardel, und seine Füße wie die eines Bären, und sein Maul wie eines Löwen Maul. Und der Drache gab ihm seine Macht und seinen Thron und große Gewalt.
3Und ich sah einen seiner Köpfe wie zum Tode geschlachtet. Und seine Todeswunde wurde geheilt, und die ganze Erde verwunderte sich über das Tier.
4Und sie beteten den Drachen an, weil er dem Tiere die Gewalt gab, und sie beteten das Tier an und sagten: Wer ist dem Tiere gleich? Und wer vermag mit ihm zu kämpfen?
5Und es wurde ihm ein Mund gegeben, der große Dinge und Lästerungen redete; und es wurde ihm Gewalt gegeben, zweiundvierzig Monate zu wirken.
6Und es öffnete seinen Mund zu Lästerungen wider Gott, seinen Namen zu lästern und seine Hütte [und] die, welche ihre Hütte in dem Himmel haben.
7Und es wurde ihm gegeben, mit den Heiligen Krieg zu führen und sie zu überwinden; und es wurde ihm Gewalt gegeben über jeden Stamm und Volk und Sprache und Nation.
8Und alle, die auf der Erde wohnen, werden es anbeten, ein jeder, dessen Name nicht geschrieben ist in dem Buche des Lebens des geschlachteten Lammes von Grundlegung der Welt an.
9Wenn jemand ein Ohr hat, so höre er!
10Wenn jemand in Gefangenschaft [führt], so geht er in Gefangenschaft; wenn jemand mit dem Schwerte töten wird, so muß er mit dem Schwerte getötet werden. Hier ist das Ausharren und der Glaube der Heiligen.
11Und ich sah ein anderes Tier aus der Erde aufsteigen: und es hatte zwei Hörner gleich einem Lamme, und es redete wie ein Drache.
12Und die ganze Gewalt des ersten Tieres übt es vor ihm aus, und es macht, daß die Erde und die auf ihr wohnen das erste Tier anbeten, dessen Todeswunde geheilt wurde.
13Und es tut große Zeichen, daß es selbst Feuer vom Himmel auf die Erde herabkommen läßt vor den Menschen;
14und es verführt, die auf der Erde wohnen wegen der Zeichen, welche vor dem Tiere zu tun ihm gegeben wurde, indem es die, welche auf der Erde wohnen, auffordert, ein Bild dem Tiere zu machen, das die Wunde des Schwertes hat und lebte.
15Und es wurde ihm gegeben, dem Bilde des Tieres Odem zu geben, auf daß das Bild des Tieres auch redete und bewirkte, daß alle getötet wurden, die das Bild des Tieres nicht anbeteten.
16Und es bringt alle dahin, die Kleinen und die Großen, und die Reichen und die Armen, und die Freien und die Knechte, daß sie ein Malzeichen annehmen an ihre rechte Hand oder an ihre Stirn;
17und daß niemand kaufen oder verkaufen kann, als nur der, welcher das Malzeichen hat, den Namen des Tieres oder die Zahl seines Namens. Hier ist die Weisheit.
18Wer Verständnis hat, berechne die Zahl des Tieres, denn es ist eines Menschen Zahl; und seine Zahl ist sechshundertsechsundsechzig.

1Y YO me paré sobre la arena del mar, y vi una bestia subir del mar, que tenía siete cabezas y diez cuernos; y sobre sus cuernos diez diademas; y sobre las cabezas de ella nombre de blasfemia.
2Y la bestia que vi, era semejante á un leopardo, y sus pies como de oso, y su boca como boca de león. Y el dragón le dió su poder, y su trono, y grande potestad.
3Y vi una de sus cabezas como herida de muerte, y la llaga de su muerte fué curada: y se maravilló toda la tierra en pos de la bestia.
4Y adoraron al dragón que había dado la potestad á la bestia, y adoraron á la bestia, diciendo: ¿Quién es semejante á la bestia, y quién podrá lidiar con ella?
5Y le fué dada boca que hablaba grandes cosas y blasfemias: y le fué dada potencia de obrar cuarenta y dos meses.
6Y abrió su boca en blasfemias contra Dios, para blasfemar su nombre, y su tabernáculo, y á los que moran en el cielo.
7Y le fué dado hacer guerra contra los santos, y vencerlos. También le fué dada potencia sobre toda tribu y pueblo y lengua y gente.
8Y todos los que moran en la tierra le adoraron, cuyos nombres no están escritos en el libro de la vida del Cordero, el cual fué muerto desde el principio del mundo.
9Si alguno tiene oído, oiga.
10El que lleva en cautividad, va en cautividad: el que á cuchillo matare, es necesario que á cuchillo sea muerto. Aquí está la paciencia y la fe de los santos.
11Después vi otra bestia que subía de la tierra; y tenía dos cuernos semejantes á los de un cordero, mas hablaba como un dragón.
12Y ejerce todo el poder de la primera bestia en presencia de ella; y hace á la tierra y á los moradores de ella adorar la primera bestia, cuya llaga de muerte fué curada.
13Y hace grandes señales, de tal manera que aun hace descender fuego del cielo á la tierra delante de los hombres.
14Y engaña á los moradores de la tierra por las señales que le ha sido dado hacer en presencia de la bestia, mandando á los moradores de la tierra que hagan la imagen de la bestia que tiene la herida de cuchillo, y vivió.
15Y le fué dado que diese espíritu á la imagen de la bestia, para que la imagen de la bestia hable; y hará que cualesquiera que no adoraren la imagen de la bestia sean muertos.
16Y hacía que á todos, á los pequeños y grandes, ricos y pobres, libres y siervos, se pusiese una marca en su mano derecha, ó en sus frentes:
17Y que ninguno pudiese comprar ó vender, sino el que tuviera la señal, ó el nombre de la bestia, ó el número de su nombre.
18Aquí hay sabiduría. El que tiene entendimiento, cuente el número de la bestia; porque es el número de hombre: y el número de ella, seiscientos sesenta y seis.

1And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.
2And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.
3And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.
4And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?
5And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.
6And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.
7And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.
8And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
9If any man have an ear, let him hear.
10He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.
11And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.
12And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.
13And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
14And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
15And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.
16And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.
18Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
World English Bible
1Then I stood on the sand of the sea. I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads. On his horns were ten crowns, and on his heads, blasphemous names.
2The beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority.
3One of his heads looked like it had been wounded fatally. His fatal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled at the beast.
4They worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast? Who is able to make war with him?”
5A mouth speaking great things and blasphemy was given to him. Authority to make war for forty-two months was given to him.
6He opened his mouth for blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, his dwelling, and those who dwell in heaven.
7It was given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them. Authority over every tribe, people, language, and nation was given to him.
8All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been killed.
9If anyone has an ear, let him hear.
10If anyone is to go into captivity, he will go into captivity. If anyone is to be killed with the sword, he must be killed. Here is the endurance and the faith of the saints.
11I saw another beast coming up out of the earth. He had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon.
12He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. He makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed.
13He performs great signs, even making fire come down out of the sky to the earth in the sight of people.
14He deceives my own people who dwell on the earth because of the signs he was granted to do in front of the beast, saying to those who dwell on the earth that they should make an image to the beast who had the sword wound and lived.
15It was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause as many as wouldn’t worship the image of the beast to be killed.
16He causes all, the small and the great, the rich and the poor, and the free and the slave, to be given marks on their right hands or on their foreheads;
17and that no one would be able to buy or to sell unless he has that mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name.
18Here is wisdom. He who has understanding, let him calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man. His number is six hundred sixty-six.
