E ouvi um som que vinha do céu como o rugir de uma grande cachoeira e o estrondo de um poderoso trovão; era como o som de um coro acompanhado por harpas.

And I heard a voice from heaven, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of a great thunder: and I heard the voice of harpers harping with their harps:

Este som era um maravilhoso cântico novo entoado diante do trono de Deus, diante dos quatro seres viventes e dos anciãos; e ninguém podia aprender este cântico, a não ser estes 144.000 que haviam sido comprados da terra.

Porquanto eles se conservaram puros por não terem tido relações com mulheres, e seguem o Cordeiro por todo lugar aonde ele vai. Foram comprados dentre os homens da terra como uma oferta consagrada a Deus e ao Cordeiro.

“Temam a Deus”, disse ele em alta voz, “e louvem a grandeza dele, porque chegou o tempo em que ele vai julgar a humanidade. Adorem aquele que fez os céus e a terra, o mar e todas as fontes das águas”.

he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is prepared unmixed in the cup of his anger. He will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
A fumaça do tormento deles sobe para todo o sempre, e eles não terão alívio de dia nem de noite, porque adoraram a besta e a sua estátua, e foram marcados com o sinal do nome dela”.
Y el humo del tormento de ellos sube para siempre jamás. Y los que adoran á la bestia y á su imagen, no tienen reposo día ni noche, ni cualquiera que tomare la señal de su nombre.
And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.

Que isso anime o povo de Deus a suportar com perseverança cada provação e perseguição, porque os santos dele são os que até o fim permanecem firmes na obediência às suas ordens e permanecem fiéis a Jesus.
Aquí está la paciencia de los santos; aquí están los que guardan los mandamientos de Dios, y la fe de Jesús.

E ouvi uma voz nos céus, dizendo: “Ponha isto por escrito: Finalmente chegou o tempo dos seus mártires entrarem na plena recompensa deles. Sim, diz o Espírito, eles são verdadeiramente felizes, pois agora descansarão de todas as suas fadigas e provações; porque as suas boas obras os acompanharão!”
Y oí una voz del cielo que me decía: Escribe: Bienaventurados los muertos que de aquí adelante mueren en el Señor. Sí, dice el Espíritu, que descansarán de sus trabajos; porque sus obras con ellos siguen.
