And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory.

Ele deu um poderoso brado: “Caiu! Caiu a grande Babilônia; ela se tornou um esconderijo de demônios, uma toca de espíritos imundos e de toda espécie de aves e feras impuras e detestáveis.
Y clamó con fortaleza en alta voz, diciendo: Caída es, caída es la grande Babilonia, y es hecha habitación de demonios, y guarida de todo espíritu inmundo, y albergue de todas aves sucias y aborrecibles.
And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
He cried with a mighty voice, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, and she has become a habitation of demons, a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hated bird!
Porque todas as nações beberam do vinho mortal da tremenda imoralidade dela. Os governantes da terra se prostituíram com ela, e negociantes do mundo todo se tornaram ricos com toda a sua vida luxuosa”.
Porque todas las gentes han bebido del vino del furor de su fornicación; y los reyes de la tierra han fornicado con ella, y los mercaderes de la tierra se han enriquecido de la potencia de sus deleites.
For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her sexual immorality, the kings of the earth committed sexual immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth grew rich from the abundance of her luxury.”
Então ouvi outra voz chamando do céu: “Saiam dela, meu povo; não tomem parte nos seus pecados, senão vocês serão castigados juntamente com ela.

And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.

Porque os pecados da Babilônia se amontoaram até o céu, e Deus está pronto para julgá-la pelos seus crimes.
Porque sus pecados han llegado hasta el cielo, y Dios se ha acordado de sus maldades.
For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Façam com ela como tem ela feito com vocês, e mais: deem o dobro do castigo por todas as suas más obras. Ela preparou muitas taças de desgraça para os outros — deem-lhe duas vezes tanto.
Tornadle á dar como ella os ha dado, y pagadle al doble según sus obras; en el cáliz que ella os dió á beber, dadle á beber doblado.
Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.

Ela tem vivido no luxo e no prazer — agora deem-lhe igual quantidade de tormentos e tristeza. Ela se vangloria, dizendo: ‘Eu sou rainha no meu trono. Não sou uma viúva desamparada. Nunca provarei o pranto’.
Cuanto ella se ha glorificado, y ha estado en deleites, tanto dadle de tormento y llanto; porque dice en su corazón: Yo estoy sentada reina, y no soy viuda, y no veré llanto.
How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.
However much she glorified herself and grew wanton, so much give her of torment and mourning. For she says in her heart, ‘I sit a queen, and am no widow, and will in no way see mourning.’
Portanto, as tristezas da morte, do pranto e da fome a alcançarão num único dia, e ela será completamente devorada pelo fogo; porque o Senhor Deus que a julga é poderoso”.

Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.

“E os reis da terra, que participaram dos atos imorais dela e desfrutaram seus favores, chorarão e lamentarão por ela quando virem a fumaça subindo dos restos carbonizados.
Y llorarán y se lamentarán sobre ella los reyes de la tierra, los cuales han fornicado con ella y han vivido en deleites, cuando ellos vieren el humo de su incendio,
And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning,
The kings of the earth who committed sexual immorality and lived wantonly with her will weep and wail over her, when they look at the smoke of her burning,
Eles ficarão à distância, tremendo de medo e clamando: ‘Ai da Babilônia, aquela grande cidade! Em apenas uma hora a sua condenação caiu sobre ela’.
Estando lejos por el temor de su tormento, diciendo: ¡Ay, ay, de aquella gran ciudad de Babilonia, aquella fuerte ciudad; porque en una hora vino tu juicio!
Standing afar off for the fear of her torment, saying, Alas, alas, that great city Babylon, that mighty city! for in one hour is thy judgment come.

“Os comerciantes da terra chorarão e se lamentarão por causa dela, porque não restou ninguém para comprar as suas mercadorias.

Ninguém compra o seu ouro, prata, pedras preciosas, pérolas, linho fino, sedas de púrpura e escarlata; toda espécie de madeira perfumada e artigos de marfim; muitas esculturas de madeira preciosa, bronze, ferro e mármore;
Mercadería de oro, y de plata, y de piedras preciosas, y de margaritas, y de lino fino, y de escarlata, y de seda, y de grana, y de toda madera olorosa, y de todo vaso de marfil, y de todo vaso de madera preciosa, y de cobre, y de hierro, y de mármol;
The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,

And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.

“Todas as coisas extravagantes de que você gostava tanto já se acabaram”, choravam eles. “Todo o luxo elegante e o esplendor que você apreciava nunca mais será seu outra vez. Foram-se para sempre”.
Y los frutos del deseo de tu alma se apartaron de ti; y todas las cosas gruesas y excelentes te han faltado, y nunca más las hallarás.
And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.
The fruits which your soul lusted after have been lost to you. All things that were dainty and sumptuous have perished from you, and you will find them no more at all.
E assim os comerciantes que se tinham tornado ricos vendendo estas coisas a ela ficarão à distância, com medo do tormento dela, lamentando e chorando:
Los mercaderes de estas cosas, que se han enriquecido, se pondrán lejos de ella por el temor de su tormento, llorando y lamentando,

“Ai daquela grande cidade, tão bonita — como uma mulher vestida da púrpura mais fina e de linho vermelho, adornada de ouro, pedras preciosas e pérolas!
Y diciendo: ¡Ay, ay, aquella gran ciudad, que estaba vestida de lino fino, y de escarlata, y de grana, y estaba dorada con oro, y adornada de piedras preciosas y de perlas!
And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
saying, ‘Woe, woe, the great city, she who was dressed in fine linen, purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls!
Em apenas uma hora toda a riqueza da cidade se foi!” “E todos os capitães de navios e dos barcos mercantes e as tripulações que ganham a vida no mar ficarão à distância,

chorando enquanto contemplam a fumaça subir, dizendo: ‘Onde no mundo inteiro existe outra cidade como esta?’
Y viendo el humo de su incendio, dieron voces, diciendo: ¿Qué ciudad era semejante á esta gran ciudad?
And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
and cried out as they looked at the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What is like the great city?’
E na sua tristeza eles lançarão pó na cabeça e, lamentando-se, dirão: ‘Ai! Ai daquela grande cidade! Graças à sua riqueza, todos os que tinham navios prosperaram. E agora, em apenas uma hora ela ficou em ruínas!’

Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.

Então um anjo poderoso levantou uma pedra de forma semelhante a uma pedra de moinho, jogou-a no mar e disse: “Babilônia, aquela grande cidade será atirada fora, como eu atirei esta pedra, e desaparecerá para sempre.

And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee;
The voice of harpists, minstrels, flute players, and trumpeters will be heard no more at all in you. No craftsman of whatever craft will be found any more at all in you. The sound of a mill will be heard no more at all in you.
Escuras, bem escuras serão as noites dela; nem uma única lamparina se verá outra vez. Nunca mais se ouvirão as vozes alegres dos noivos e das noivas. Seus negociantes eram conhecidos ao redor do mundo e ela enganava todas as nações com as suas feitiçarias.

The light of a lamp will shine no more at all in you. The voice of the bridegroom and of the bride will be heard no more at all in you, for your merchants were the princes of the earth; for with your sorcery all the nations were deceived.
E ela foi também responsável pelo sangue de todos os profetas e santos mortos como mártires na terra”.
