1Und ich sah einen neuen Himmel und eine neue Erde; denn der erste Himmel und die erste Erde verging, und das Meer ist nicht mehr.
2Und ich, Johannes, sah die heilige Stadt, das neue Jerusalem, von Gott aus dem Himmel herabfahren, bereitet als eine geschmückte Braut ihrem Mann.
3Und ich hörte eine große Stimme von dem Stuhl, die sprach: Siehe da, die Hütte Gottes bei den Menschen! und er wird bei ihnen wohnen, und sie werden sein Volk sein, und er selbst, Gott mit ihnen, wird ihr Gott sein;
4und Gott wird abwischen alle Tränen von ihren Augen, und der Tod wird nicht mehr sein, noch Leid noch Geschrei noch Schmerz wird mehr sein; denn das Erste ist vergangen.
5Und der auf dem Stuhl saß, sprach: Siehe, ich mache alles neu! Und er spricht zu mir: Schreibe; denn diese Worte sind wahrhaftig und gewiß!
6Und er sprach zu mir: Es ist geschehen. Ich bin das A und das O, der Anfang und das Ende. Ich will den Durstigen geben von dem Brunnen des lebendigen Wassers umsonst.
7Wer überwindet, der wird es alles ererben, und ich werde sein Gott sein, und er wird mein Sohn sein.
8Der Verzagten aber und Ungläubigen und Greulichen und Totschläger und Hurer und Zauberer und Abgöttischen und aller Lügner, deren Teil wird sein in dem Pfuhl, der mit Feuer und Schwefel brennt; das ist der andere Tod.
9Und es kam zu mir einer von den sieben Engeln, welche die sieben Schalen voll der letzten sieben Plagen hatten, und redete mit mir und sprach: Komm, ich will dir das Weib zeigen, die Braut des Lammes.
10Und er führte mich hin im Geist auf einen großen und hohen Berg und zeigte mir die große Stadt, das heilige Jerusalem, herniederfahren aus dem Himmel von Gott,
11die hatte die Herrlichkeit Gottes. Und ihr Licht war gleich dem alleredelsten Stein, einem hellen Jaspis.
12Und sie hatte eine große und hohe Mauer und hatte zwölf Tore und auf den Toren zwölf Engel, und Namen darauf geschrieben, nämlich der zwölf Geschlechter der Kinder Israel.
13Vom Morgen drei Tore, von Mitternacht drei Tore, vom Mittag drei Tore, vom Abend drei Tore.
14Und die Mauer der Stadt hatte zwölf Grundsteine und auf ihnen Namen der zwölf Apostel des Lammes.
15Und der mit mir redete, hatte ein goldenes Rohr, daß er die Stadt messen sollte und ihre Tore und Mauer.
16Und die Stadt liegt viereckig, und ihre Länge ist so groß als die Breite. Und er maß die Stadt mit dem Rohr auf zwölftausend Feld Wegs. Die Länge und die Breite und die Höhe der Stadt sind gleich.
17Und er maß ihre Mauer, hundertvierundvierzig Ellen, nach Menschenmaß, das der Engel hat.
18Und der Bau ihrer Mauer war von Jaspis und die Stadt von lauterm Golde gleich dem reinen Glase.
19Und die Grundsteine der Mauer um die Stadt waren geschmückt mit allerlei Edelgestein. Der erste Grund war ein Jaspis, der andere ein Saphir, der dritte ein Chalzedonier, der vierte ein Smaragd,
20der fünfte ein Sardonix, der sechste ein Sarder, der siebente ein Chrysolith, der achte ein Berill, der neunte ein Topas, der zehnte ein Chrysopras, der elfte ein Hyazinth, der zwölfte ein Amethyst.
21Und die zwölf Tore waren zwölf Perlen, und ein jeglich Tor war von einer Perle; und die Gassen der Stadt waren lauteres Gold wie ein durchscheinend Glas.
22Und ich sah keinen Tempel darin; denn der HERR, der allmächtige Gott, ist ihr Tempel, und das Lamm.
23Und die Stadt bedarf keiner Sonne noch des Mondes, daß sie scheinen; denn die Herrlichkeit Gottes erleuchtet sie, und ihre Leuchte ist das Lamm.
24Und die Heiden, die da selig werden, wandeln in ihrem Licht; und die Könige auf Erden werden ihre Herrlichkeit in sie bringen.
25Und ihre Tore werden nicht verschlossen des Tages; denn da wird keine Nacht sein.
26Und man wird die Herrlichkeit und die Ehre der Heiden in sie bringen.
27Und es wird nicht hineingehen irgend ein Gemeines und das da Greuel tut und Lüge, sondern die geschrieben sind in dem Lebensbuch des Lammes.

1Y VI un cielo nuevo, y una tierra nueva: porque el primer cielo y la primera tierra se fueron, y el mar ya no es.
2Y yo Juan vi la santa ciudad, Jerusalem nueva, que descendía del cielo, de Dios, dispuesta como una esposa ataviada para su marido.
3Y oí una gran voz del cielo que decía: He aquí el tabernáculo de Dios con los hombres, y morará con ellos; y ellos serán su pueblo, y el mismo Dios será su Dios con ellos.
4Y limpiará Dios toda lágrima de los ojos de ellos; y la muerte no será más; y no habrá más llanto, ni clamor, ni dolor: porque las primeras cosas son pasadas.
5Y el que estaba sentado en el trono dijo: He aquí, yo hago nuevas todas las cosas. Y me dijo: Escribe; porque estas palabras son fieles y verdaderas.
6Y díjome: Hecho es. Yo soy Alpha y Omega, el principio y el fin. Al que tuviere sed, yo le daré de la fuente del agua de vida gratuitamente.
7El que venciere, poseerá todas las cosas; y yo seré su Dios, y él será mi hijo.
8Mas á los temerosos é incrédulos, á los abominables y homicidas, á los fornicarios y hechiceros, y á los idólatras, y á todos los mentirosos, su parte será en el lago ardiendo con fuego y azufre, que es la muerte segunda.
9Y vino á mí uno de los siete ángeles que tenían las siete copas llenas de las siete postreras plagas, y habló conmigo, diciendo: Ven acá, yo te mostraré la esposa, mujer del Cordero.
10Y llevóme en Espíritu á un grande y alto monte, y me mostró la grande ciudad santa de Jerusalem, que descendía del cielo de Dios,
11Teniendo la claridad de Dios: y su luz era semejante á una piedra preciosísima, como piedra de jaspe, resplandeciente como cristal.
12Y tenía un muro grande y alto con doce puertas; y en las puertas, doce ángeles, y nombres escritos, que son los de las doce tribus de los hijos de Israel.
13Al oriente tres puertas; al norte tres puertas; al mediodía tres puertas; al poniente tres puertas.
14Y el muro de la ciudad tenía doce fundamentos, y en ellos los doce nombres de los doce apóstoles del Cordero.
15Y el que hablaba conmigo, tenía una medida de una caña de oro para medir la ciudad, y sus puertas, y su muro.
16Y la ciudad está situada y puesta en cuadro, y su largura es tanta como su anchura: y él midió la ciudad con la caña, doce mil estadios: la largura y la altura y la anchura de ella son iguales.
17Y midió su muro, ciento cuarenta y cuatro codos, de medida de hombre, la cual es del ángel.
18Y el material de su muro era de jaspe: mas la ciudad era de oro puro, semejante al vidrio limpio.
19Y los fundamentos del muro de la ciudad estaban adornados de toda piedra preciosa. El primer fundamento era jaspe; el segundo, zafiro; el tercero, calcedonia; el cuarto, esmeralda;
20El quinto, sardónica; el sexto, sardio; el séptimo, crisólito; el octavo, berilo; el nono, topacio; el décimo, crisopraso; el undécimo, jacinto; el duodécimo, amatista.
21Y las doce puertas eran doce perlas, en cada una, una; cada puerta era de una perla. Y la plaza de la ciudad era de oro puro como vidrio trasparente.
22Y no vi en ella templo; porque el Señor Dios Todopoderoso es el templo de ella, y el Cordero.
23Y la ciudad no tenía necesidad de sol, ni de luna, para que resplandezcan en ella: porque la claridad de Dios la iluminó, y el Cordero era su lumbrera.
24Y las naciones que hubieren sido salvas andarán en la lumbre de ella: y los reyes de la tierra traerán su gloria y honor á ella.
25Y sus puertas nunca serán cerradas de día, porque allí no habrá noche.
26Y llevarán la gloria y la honra de las naciones á ella.
27No entrará en ella ninguna cosa sucia, ó que hace abominación y mentira; sino solamente los que están escritos en el libro de la vida del Cordero.

1And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
9And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues, and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee the bride, the Lamb’s wife.
10And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,
11Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
13On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.
14And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
15And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof.
16And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
17And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred and forty and four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
18And the building of the wall of it was of jasper: and the city was pure gold, like unto clear glass.
19And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald;
20The fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprasus; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.
21And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every several gate was of one pearl: and the street of the city was pure gold, as it were transparent glass.
22And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
23And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
24And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.
25And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there.
26And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
27And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

2I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared like a bride adorned for her husband.
3I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with people; and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
4He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more. The first things have passed away.”
5He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” He said, “Write, for these words of God are faithful and true.”
6He said to me, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give freely to him who is thirsty from the spring of the water of life.
7He who overcomes, I will give him these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son.
8But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
9One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls which were loaded with the seven last plagues came, and he spoke with me, saying, “Come here. I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.”
10He carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God,
11having the glory of God. Her light was like a most precious stone, like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
12having a great and high wall with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel.
13On the east were three gates, and on the north three gates, and on the south three gates, and on the west three gates.
14The wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them twelve names of the twelve Apostles of the Lamb.
15He who spoke with me had for a measure a golden reed to measure the city, its gates, and its walls.
16The city is square. Its length is as great as its width. He measured the city with the reed: twelve thousand twelve stadia. Its length, width, and height are equal.
17Its wall is one hundred forty-four cubits, by the measure of a man, that is, of an angel.
18The construction of its wall was jasper. The city was pure gold, like pure glass.
19The foundations of the city’s wall were adorned with all kinds of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper, the second sapphire, the third chalcedony, the fourth emerald,
20the fifth sardonyx, the sixth sardius, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, and the twelfth amethyst.
21The twelve gates were twelve pearls. Each one of the gates was made of one pearl. The street of the city was pure gold, like transparent glass.
22I saw no temple in it, for the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.
23The city has no need for the sun or moon to shine, for the very glory of God illuminated it and its lamp is the Lamb.
24The nations will walk in its light. The kings of the earth bring the glory and honor of the nations into it.
25Its gates will in no way be shut by day (for there will be no night there),
26and they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it so that they may enter.
27There will in no way enter into it anything profane, or one who causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb’s book of life.
