1À l’ange de l’assemblée qui est à Éphèse, écris : Voici ce que dit celui qui tient les sept étoiles dans sa droite, qui marche au milieu des sept lampes d’or :
2Je connais tes œuvres, et ton travail, et ta patience, et que tu ne peux supporter les méchants ; et tu as éprouvé ceux qui se disent apôtres et ne le sont pas, et tu les as trouvés menteurs ;
3et tu as patience, et tu as supporté [des afflictions] pour mon nom, et tu ne t’es pas lassé ;
4mais j’ai contre toi que tu as abandonné ton premier amour.
5Souviens-toi donc d’où tu es déchu, et repens-toi, et fais les premières œuvres ; autrement, je viens à toi et j’ôterai ta lampe de son lieu, à moins que tu ne te repentes.
6Mais tu as ceci, que tu hais les œuvres des Nicolaïtes, lesquelles moi aussi je hais.
7Que celui qui a des oreilles écoute ce que l’Esprit dit aux assemblées. À celui qui vaincra, je lui donnerai de manger de l’arbre de vie qui est dans le paradis de Dieu.
8Et à l’ange de l’assemblée qui est à Smyrne, écris : Voici ce que dit le premier et le dernier, qui a été mort et qui a repris vie :
9Je connais ta tribulation, et ta pauvreté (mais tu es riche), et l’outrage de ceux qui se disent être Juifs ; et ils ne le sont pas, mais ils sont la synagogue de Satan.
10Ne crains en aucune manière les choses que tu vas souffrir. Voici, le diable va jeter [quelques-uns] d’entre vous en prison, afin que vous soyez éprouvés : et vous aurez une tribulation de dix jours. Sois fidèle jusqu’à la mort et je te donnerai la couronne de vie.
11Que celui qui a des oreilles écoute ce que l’Esprit dit aux assemblées. Celui qui vaincra n’aura point à souffrir de la seconde mort.
12Et à l’ange de l’assemblée qui est à Pergame, écris : Voici ce que dit celui qui a l’épée aiguë à deux tranchants :
13Je sais où tu habites, là où est le trône de Satan ; et tu tiens ferme mon nom, et tu n’as pas renié ma foi, même dans les jours dans lesquels Antipas était mon fidèle témoin, qui a été mis à mort parmi vous, là où Satan habite.
14Mais j’ai quelques choses contre toi : c’est que tu as là des gens qui tiennent la doctrine de Balaam, lequel enseignait à Balac à jeter une pierre d’achoppement devant les fils d’Israël, pour qu’ils mangent des choses sacrifiées aux idoles et qu’ils commettent la fornication.
15Ainsi tu en as, toi aussi, qui tiennent la doctrine des Nicolaïtes pareillement.
16Repens-toi donc ; autrement je viens à toi promptement, et je combattrai contre eux par l’épée de ma bouche.
17Que celui qui a des oreilles écoute ce que l’Esprit dit aux assemblées. À celui qui vaincra, je lui donnerai de la manne cachée, et je lui donnerai un caillou blanc, et, sur le caillou, un nouveau nom écrit, que nul ne connaît, sinon celui qui le reçoit.
18Et à l’ange de l’assemblée qui est à Thyatire, écris : Voici ce que dit le Fils de Dieu, qui a ses yeux comme une flamme de feu, et dont les pieds sont semblables à de l’airain brillant :
19Je connais tes œuvres, et ton amour, et ta foi, et ton service, et ta patience, et tes dernières œuvres qui dépassent les premières.
20Mais j’ai contre toi, que tu laisses faire la femme Jésabel qui se dit prophétesse ; et elle enseigne et égare mes esclaves [en les entraînant] à commettre la fornication et à manger des choses sacrifiées aux idoles.
21Et je lui ai donné du temps afin qu’elle se repente ; et elle ne veut pas se repentir de sa fornication.
22Voici, je la jette sur un lit, et ceux qui commettent adultère avec elle, dans une grande tribulation, à moins qu’ils ne se repentent de ses œuvres ;
23et je ferai mourir de mort ses enfants ; et toutes les assemblées connaîtront que c’est moi qui sonde les reins et les cœurs ; et je vous donnerai à chacun selon vos œuvres.
24Mais à vous je dis, aux autres qui sont à Thyatire, autant qu’il y en a qui n’ont pas cette doctrine, qui n’ont pas connu les profondeurs de Satan, comme ils disent : je ne vous impose pas d’autre charge ;
25mais seulement, ce que vous avez, tenez-le ferme jusqu’à ce que je vienne.
26Et celui qui vaincra, et celui qui gardera mes œuvres jusqu’à la fin, – je lui donnerai autorité sur les nations ;
27et il les paîtra avec une verge de fer, comme sont brisés les vases de poterie, selon que moi aussi j’ai reçu de mon Père ;
28et je lui donnerai l’étoile du matin.
29Que celui qui a des oreilles écoute ce que l’Esprit dit aux assemblées.

1ESCRIBE al ángel de la iglesia en EFESO: El que tiene las siete estrellas en su diestra, el cual anda en medio de los siete candeleros de oro, dice estas cosas:
2Yo sé tus obras, y tu trabajo y paciencia; y que tú no puedes sufrir los malos, y has probado á los que se dicen ser apóstoles, y no lo son, y los has hallado mentirosos;
3Y has sufrido, y has tenido paciencia, y has trabajado por mi nombre, y no has desfallecido.
4Pero tengo contra ti que has dejado tu primer amor.
5Recuerda por tanto de dónde has caído, y arrepiéntete, y haz las primeras obras; pues si no, vendré presto á ti, y quitaré tu candelero de su lugar, si no te hubieres arrepentido.
6Mas tienes esto, que aborreces los hechos de los Nicolaítas; los cuales yo también aborrezco.
7El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice á las iglesias. Al que venciere, daré á comer del árbol de la vida, el cual está en medio del paraíso de Dios.
8Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en SMIRNA: El primero y postrero, que fué muerto, y vivió, dice estas cosas:
9Yo sé tus obras, y tu tribulación, y tu pobreza (pero tú eres rico), y la blasfemia de los que se dicen ser Judíos, y no lo son, mas son sinagoga de Satanás.
10No tengas ningún temor de las cosas que has de padecer. He aquí, el diablo ha de enviar algunos de vosotros á la cárcel, para que seáis probados, y tendréis tribulación de diez días. Sé fiel hasta la muerte, y yo te daré la corona de la vida.
11El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice á las iglesias. El que venciere, no recibirá daño de la muerte segunda.
12Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en PÉRGAMO: El que tiene la espada aguda de dos filos, dice estas cosas:
13Yo sé tus obras, y dónde moras, donde está la silla de Satanás; y retienes mi nombre, y no has negado mi fe, aun en los días en que fué Antipas mi testigo fiel, el cual ha sido muerto entre vosotros, donde Satanás mora.
14Pero tengo unas pocas cosas contra ti: porque tú tienes ahí los que tienen la doctrina de Balaam, el cual enseñaba á Balac á poner escándalo delante de los hijos de Israel, á comer de cosas sacrificadas á los ídolos, y á cometer fornicación.
15Así también tú tienes á los que tienen la doctrina de los Nicolaítas, lo cual yo aborrezco.
16Arrepiéntete, porque de otra manera vendré á ti presto, y pelearé contra ellos con la espada de mi boca.
17El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice á las iglesias. Al que venciere, daré á comer del maná escondido, y le daré una piedrecita blanca, y en la piedrecita un nombre nuevo escrito, el cual ninguno conoce sino aquel que lo recibe.
18Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en TIATIRA: El Hijo de Dios, que tiene sus ojos como llama de fuego, y sus pies semejantes al latón fino, dice estas cosas:
19Yo he conocido tus obras, y caridad, y servicio, y fe, y tu paciencia, y que tus obras postreras son más que las primeras.
20Mas tengo unas pocas cosas contra ti: porque permites aquella mujer Jezabel (que se dice profetisa) enseñar, y engañar á mis siervos, á fornicar, y á comer cosas ofrecidas á los ídolos.
21Y le he dado tiempo para que se arrepienta de la fornicación; y no se ha arrepentido.
22He aquí, yo la echo en cama, y á los que adulteran con ella, en muy grande tribulación, si no se arrepintieren de sus obras:
23Y mataré á sus hijos con muerte; y todas las iglesias sabrán que yo soy el que escudriño los riñones y los corazones: y daré á cada uno de vosotros según sus obras.
24Pero yo digo á vosotros, y á los demás que estáis en Tiatira, cualesquiera que no tienen esta doctrina, y que no han conocido las profundidades de Satanás, como dicen: Yo no enviaré sobre vosotros otra carga.
25Empero la que tenéis, tenedla hasta que yo venga.
26Y al que hubiere vencido, y hubiere guardado mis obras hasta el fin, yo le daré potestad sobre las gentes;
27Y las regirá con vara de hierro, y serán quebrantados como vaso de alfarero, como también yo he recibido de mi Padre:
28Y le daré la estrella de la mañana.
29El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice á las iglesias.

1Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
2I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
3And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
4Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
5Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
6But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
7He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
8And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
9I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
10Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
11He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
12And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
13I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
14But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
15So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.
16Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
17He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
18And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
19I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.
20Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
21And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
22Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
23And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
24But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
25But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
26And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
27And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
28And I will give him the morning star.
29He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

1“To the angel of the assembly in Ephesus write: “He who holds the seven stars in his right hand, he who walks among the seven golden lamp stands says these things:
2“I know your works, and your toil and perseverance, and that you can’t tolerate evil men, and have tested those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and found them false.
3You have perseverance and have endured for my name’s sake, and have not grown weary.
4But I have this against you, that you left your first love.
5Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works; or else I am coming to you swiftly, and will move your lamp stand out of its place, unless you repent.
6But this you have, that you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
7He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of my God.

18“To the angel of the assembly in Thyatira write: “The Son of God, who has his eyes like a flame of fire, and his feet are like burnished brass, says these things:
19“I know your works, your love, faith, service, patient endurance, and that your last works are more than the first.
20But I have this against you, that you tolerate your woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess. She teaches and seduces my servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat things sacrificed to idols.
21I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality.
22Behold, I will throw her and those who commit adultery with her into a bed of great oppression, unless they repent of her works.
23I will kill her children with Death, and all the assemblies will know that I am he who searches the minds and hearts. I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.
24But to you I say, to the rest who are in Thyatira—as many as don’t have this teaching, who don’t know what some call ‘the deep things of Satan’—to you I say, I am not putting any other burden on you.
25Nevertheless, hold that which you have firmly until I come.
26He who overcomes, and he who keeps my works to the end, to him I will give authority over the nations.
27He will rule them with a rod of iron, shattering them like clay pots, as I also have received of my Father;
28and I will give him the morning star.
29He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.
