1Dem Engel der Versammlung in Ephesus schreibe: Dieses sagt, der die sieben Sterne in seiner Rechten hält, der da wandelt inmitten der sieben goldenen Leuchter:
2Ich kenne deine Werke und deine Arbeit und dein Ausharren, und daß du Böse nicht ertragen kannst; und du hast die geprüft, welche sich Apostel nennen, und sind es nicht, und hast sie als Lügner erfunden;
3und du hast Ausharren und hast getragen um meines Namens willen, und bist nicht müde geworden.
4Aber ich habe wider dich, daß du deine erste Liebe verlassen hast.
5Gedenke nun, wovon du gefallen bist, und tue Buße und tue die ersten Werke; wenn aber nicht, so komme ich dir und werde deinen Leuchter aus seiner Stelle wegrücken, wenn du nicht Buße tust.
6Aber dieses hast du, daß du die Werke der Nikolaiten hassest, die auch ich hasse.
7Wer ein Ohr hat, höre, was der Geist den Versammlungen sagt! Dem, der überwindet, dem werde ich zu essen geben von dem Baume des Lebens, welcher in dem Paradiese Gottes ist.
8Und dem Engel der Versammlung in Smyrna schreibe: Dieses sagt der Erste und der Letzte, der starb und wieder lebendig wurde:
9Ich kenne deine Drangsal und deine Armut (du bist aber reich) und die Lästerung von denen, welche sagen, sie seien Juden, und sind es nicht, sondern eine Synagoge des Satans.
10Fürchte nichts von dem, was du leiden wirst. Siehe, der Teufel wird etliche von euch ins Gefängnis werfen, auf daß ihr geprüft werdet, und ihr werdet Drangsal haben zehn Tage. Sei getreu bis zum Tode, und ich werde dir die Krone des Lebens geben.
11Wer ein Ohr hat, höre was der Geist den Versammlungen sagt! Wer überwindet, wird nicht beschädigt werden von dem zweiten Tode.
12Und dem Engel der Versammlung in Pergamus schreibe: Dieses sagt, der das scharfe, zweischneidige Schwert hat:
13Ich weiß, wo du wohnst, wo der Thron des Satans ist; und du hältst fest an meinem Namen und hast meinen Glauben nicht verleugnet, auch in den Tagen, in welchen Antipas mein treuer Zeuge war, der bei euch, wo der Satan wohnt, ermordet worden ist.
14Aber ich habe ein weniges wider dich, daß du solche dort hast, welche die Lehre Balaams festhalten, der den Balak lehrte, ein Ärgernis vor die Söhne Israels zu legen, Götzenopfer zu essen und Hurerei zu treiben.
15Also hast auch du solche, welche in gleicher Weise die Lehre der Nikolaiten festhalten.
16Tue nun Buße; wenn aber nicht, so komme ich dir bald und werde Krieg mit ihnen führen mit dem Schwerte meines Mundes.
17Wer ein Ohr hat, höre, was der Geist den Versammlungen sagt! Dem, der überwindet, dem werde ich von dem verborgenen Manna geben; und ich werde ihm einen weißen Stein geben, und auf den Stein einen neuen Namen geschrieben, welchen niemand kennt, als wer ihn empfängt.
18Und dem Engel der Versammlung in Thyatira schreibe: Dieses sagt der Sohn Gottes, der seine Augen hat wie eine Feuerflamme und seine Füße gleich glänzendem Kupfer:
19Ich kenne deine Werke und deine Liebe und deinen Glauben und deinen Dienst und dein Ausharren, und weiß, daß deiner letzten Werke mehr sind als der ersten.
20Aber ich habe wider dich, daß du das Weib Jesabel duldest, welche sich eine Prophetin nennt, und sie lehrt und verführt meine Knechte, Hurerei zu treiben und Götzenopfer zu essen.
21Und ich gab ihr Zeit, auf daß sie Buße täte, und sie will nicht Buße tun von ihrer Hurerei.
22Siehe, ich werfe sie in ein Bett und die, welche Ehebruch mit ihr treiben, in große Drangsal, wenn sie nicht Buße tun von ihren Werken.
23Und ihre Kinder werde ich mit Tod töten, und alle Versammlungen werden erkennen, daß ich es bin, der Nieren und Herzen erforscht: und ich werde euch einem jeden nach euren Werken geben.
24Euch aber sage ich, den übrigen, die in Thyatira sind, so viele diese Lehre nicht haben, welche die Tiefen des Satans, wie sie sagen, nicht erkannt haben: ich werfe keine andere Last auf euch;
25doch was ihr habt haltet fest, bis ich komme.
26Und wer überwindet und meine Werke bewahrt bis ans Ende, dem werde ich Gewalt über die Nationen geben;
27und er wird sie weiden mit eiserner Rute, wie Töpfergefäße zerschmettert werden, wie auch ich von meinem Vater empfangen habe;
28und ich werde ihm den Morgenstern geben.
29Wer ein Ohr hat, höre, was der Geist den Versammlungen sagt!

1ESCRIBE al ángel de la iglesia en EFESO: El que tiene las siete estrellas en su diestra, el cual anda en medio de los siete candeleros de oro, dice estas cosas:
2Yo sé tus obras, y tu trabajo y paciencia; y que tú no puedes sufrir los malos, y has probado á los que se dicen ser apóstoles, y no lo son, y los has hallado mentirosos;
3Y has sufrido, y has tenido paciencia, y has trabajado por mi nombre, y no has desfallecido.
4Pero tengo contra ti que has dejado tu primer amor.
5Recuerda por tanto de dónde has caído, y arrepiéntete, y haz las primeras obras; pues si no, vendré presto á ti, y quitaré tu candelero de su lugar, si no te hubieres arrepentido.
6Mas tienes esto, que aborreces los hechos de los Nicolaítas; los cuales yo también aborrezco.
7El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice á las iglesias. Al que venciere, daré á comer del árbol de la vida, el cual está en medio del paraíso de Dios.
8Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en SMIRNA: El primero y postrero, que fué muerto, y vivió, dice estas cosas:
9Yo sé tus obras, y tu tribulación, y tu pobreza (pero tú eres rico), y la blasfemia de los que se dicen ser Judíos, y no lo son, mas son sinagoga de Satanás.
10No tengas ningún temor de las cosas que has de padecer. He aquí, el diablo ha de enviar algunos de vosotros á la cárcel, para que seáis probados, y tendréis tribulación de diez días. Sé fiel hasta la muerte, y yo te daré la corona de la vida.
11El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice á las iglesias. El que venciere, no recibirá daño de la muerte segunda.
12Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en PÉRGAMO: El que tiene la espada aguda de dos filos, dice estas cosas:
13Yo sé tus obras, y dónde moras, donde está la silla de Satanás; y retienes mi nombre, y no has negado mi fe, aun en los días en que fué Antipas mi testigo fiel, el cual ha sido muerto entre vosotros, donde Satanás mora.
14Pero tengo unas pocas cosas contra ti: porque tú tienes ahí los que tienen la doctrina de Balaam, el cual enseñaba á Balac á poner escándalo delante de los hijos de Israel, á comer de cosas sacrificadas á los ídolos, y á cometer fornicación.
15Así también tú tienes á los que tienen la doctrina de los Nicolaítas, lo cual yo aborrezco.
16Arrepiéntete, porque de otra manera vendré á ti presto, y pelearé contra ellos con la espada de mi boca.
17El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice á las iglesias. Al que venciere, daré á comer del maná escondido, y le daré una piedrecita blanca, y en la piedrecita un nombre nuevo escrito, el cual ninguno conoce sino aquel que lo recibe.
18Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en TIATIRA: El Hijo de Dios, que tiene sus ojos como llama de fuego, y sus pies semejantes al latón fino, dice estas cosas:
19Yo he conocido tus obras, y caridad, y servicio, y fe, y tu paciencia, y que tus obras postreras son más que las primeras.
20Mas tengo unas pocas cosas contra ti: porque permites aquella mujer Jezabel (que se dice profetisa) enseñar, y engañar á mis siervos, á fornicar, y á comer cosas ofrecidas á los ídolos.
21Y le he dado tiempo para que se arrepienta de la fornicación; y no se ha arrepentido.
22He aquí, yo la echo en cama, y á los que adulteran con ella, en muy grande tribulación, si no se arrepintieren de sus obras:
23Y mataré á sus hijos con muerte; y todas las iglesias sabrán que yo soy el que escudriño los riñones y los corazones: y daré á cada uno de vosotros según sus obras.
24Pero yo digo á vosotros, y á los demás que estáis en Tiatira, cualesquiera que no tienen esta doctrina, y que no han conocido las profundidades de Satanás, como dicen: Yo no enviaré sobre vosotros otra carga.
25Empero la que tenéis, tenedla hasta que yo venga.
26Y al que hubiere vencido, y hubiere guardado mis obras hasta el fin, yo le daré potestad sobre las gentes;
27Y las regirá con vara de hierro, y serán quebrantados como vaso de alfarero, como también yo he recibido de mi Padre:
28Y le daré la estrella de la mañana.
29El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice á las iglesias.

1Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; These things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks;
2I know thy works, and thy labour, and thy patience, and how thou canst not bear them which are evil: and thou hast tried them which say they are apostles, and are not, and hast found them liars:
3And hast borne, and hast patience, and for my name’s sake hast laboured, and hast not fainted.
4Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love.
5Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place, except thou repent.
6But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
7He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
8And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive;
9I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
10Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.
11He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.
12And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
13I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
14But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
15So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.
16Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
17He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
18And unto the angel of the church in Thyatira write; These things saith the Son of God, who hath his eyes like unto a flame of fire, and his feet are like fine brass;
19I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works; and the last to be more than the first.
20Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.
21And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented not.
22Behold, I will cast her into a bed, and them that commit adultery with her into great tribulation, except they repent of their deeds.
23And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
24But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.
25But that which ye have already hold fast till I come.
26And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
27And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.
28And I will give him the morning star.
29He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

1“To the angel of the assembly in Ephesus write: “He who holds the seven stars in his right hand, he who walks among the seven golden lamp stands says these things:
2“I know your works, and your toil and perseverance, and that you can’t tolerate evil men, and have tested those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and found them false.
3You have perseverance and have endured for my name’s sake, and have not grown weary.
4But I have this against you, that you left your first love.
5Remember therefore from where you have fallen, and repent and do the first works; or else I am coming to you swiftly, and will move your lamp stand out of its place, unless you repent.
6But this you have, that you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate.
7He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of my God.

21I gave her time to repent, but she refuses to repent of her sexual immorality.
22Behold, I will throw her and those who commit adultery with her into a bed of great oppression, unless they repent of her works.
23I will kill her children with Death, and all the assemblies will know that I am he who searches the minds and hearts. I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.
24But to you I say, to the rest who are in Thyatira—as many as don’t have this teaching, who don’t know what some call ‘the deep things of Satan’—to you I say, I am not putting any other burden on you.
25Nevertheless, hold that which you have firmly until I come.
26He who overcomes, and he who keeps my works to the end, to him I will give authority over the nations.
27He will rule them with a rod of iron, shattering them like clay pots, as I also have received of my Father;
28and I will give him the morning star.
29He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.
