1“Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia de Sardis: “El que tiene los siete Espíritus de Dios y las siete estrellas dice estas cosas: “Conozco tus obras, que tienes fama de estar vivo, pero estás muerto.
2Despierta y fortalece lo que te queda, que estabas a punto de tirar, porque no he encontrado ninguna obra tuya perfeccionada ante mi Dios.
3Recuerda, pues, cómo has recibido y oído. Guárdalo y arrepiéntete. Si, pues, no velan, vendré como un ladrón, y no sabrán a qué hora vendré sobre ustedes.
4Sin embargo, tienes unos pocos nombres en Sardis que no mancharon sus vestiduras. Ellos caminarán conmigo de blanco, porque son dignos.
5El que venza se vestirá de ropas blancas, y de ninguna manera borraré su nombre del libro de la vida, y confesaré su nombre ante mi Padre y ante sus ángeles.
6El que tenga oído, que oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias.
7“Al ángel de la iglesia en Filadelfia escribe: “El que es santo, el que es verdadero, el que tiene la llave de David, el que abre y nadie puede cerrar, y el que cierra y nadie abre, dice estas cosas:
8“Yo conozco tus obras (he aquí que he puesto ante ti una puerta abierta que nadie puede cerrar), que tienes un poco de poder, y has guardado mi palabra, y no has negado mi nombre.
9He aquí yo hago que algunos de la sinagoga de Satanás, de los que se dicen judíos, y no lo son, sino que mienten, vengan a adorar ante tus pies, y sepan que yo te he amado.
10Por cuanto has guardado mi mandato de resistir, yo también te guardaré de la hora de la prueba que ha de venir sobre el mundo entero, para probar a los que habitan en la tierra.
11¡Voy a venir pronto! Mantén firmemente lo que tienes, para que nadie te quite la corona.
12Al que venza, lo haré columna en el templo de mi Dios, y no saldrá más de allí. Escribiré en él el nombre de mi Dios y el nombre de la ciudad de mi Dios, la nueva Jerusalén, que desciende del cielo de mi Dios, y mi propio nombre nuevo.
13El que tenga oído, que oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias.
14“Al ángel de la iglesia de Laodicea escribe: “El Amén, el Testigo Fiel y Verdadero, el Principio de la creación de Dios, dice estas cosas:
15“Conozco tus obras, que no eres ni frío ni caliente. Quisiera que fueras frío o caliente.
16Por eso, porque eres tibio, y no eres ni frío ni caliente, te vomitaré de mi boca.
17Porque dices: “Soy rico, y he conseguido riquezas, y no tengo necesidad de nada”, y no sabes que eres un miserable, un pobre, un ciego y un desnudo;
18te aconsejo que me compres oro refinado por el fuego, para que te enriquezcas; y ropas blancas, para que te vistas y no se descubra la vergüenza de tu desnudez; y colirio para ungir tus ojos, para que veas.
19A todos los que amo, los reprendo y los castigo. Sean, pues, celosos y arrepiéntanse.
20He aquí que yo estoy a la puerta y llamo. Si alguien oye mi voz y abre la puerta, entonces entraré a él y cenaré con él, y él conmigo.
21Al que venza, le daré que se siente conmigo en mi trono, como yo también vencí y me senté con mi Padre en su trono.
22El que tenga oído, que oiga lo que el Espíritu dice a las iglesias”.

1Y ESCRIBE al ángel de la iglesia en SARDIS: El que tiene los siete Espíritus de Dios, y las siete estrellas, dice estas cosas: Yo conozco tus obras, que tienes nombre que vives, y estás muerto.
2Sé vigilante y confirma las otras cosas que están para morir; porque no he hallado tus obras perfectas delante de Dios.
3Acuérdate pues de lo que has recibido y has oído, y guárdalo, y arrepiéntete. Y si no velares, vendré á ti como ladrón, y no sabrás en qué hora vendré á ti.
4Mas tienes unas pocas personas en Sardis que no han ensuciado sus vestiduras: y andarán conmigo en vestiduras blancas; porque son dignos.
5El que venciere, será vestido de vestiduras blancas; y no borraré su nombre del libro de la vida, y confesaré su nombre delante de mi Padre, y delante de sus ángeles.
6El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice á las iglesias.
7Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en FILADELFIA: Estas cosas dice el Santo, el Verdadero, el que tiene la llave de David, el que abre y ninguno cierra, y cierra y ninguno abre:
8Yo conozco tus obras: he aquí, he dado una puerta abierta delante de ti, la cual ninguno puede cerrar; porque tienes un poco de potencia, y has guardado mi palabra, y no has negado mi nombre.
9He aquí, yo doy de la sinagoga de Satanás, los que se dicen ser Judíos, y no lo son, mas mienten; he aquí, yo los constreñiré á que vengan y adoren delante de tus pies, y sepan que yo te he amado.
10Porque has guardado la palabra de mi paciencia, yo también te guardaré de la hora de la tentación que ha de venir en todo el mundo, para probar á los que moran en la tierra.
11He aquí, yo vengo presto; retén lo que tienes, para que ninguno tome tu corona.
12Al que venciere, yo lo haré columna en el templo de mi Dios, y nunca más saldrá fuera; y escribiré sobre él el nombre de mi Dios, y el nombre de la ciudad de mi Dios, la nueva Jerusalem, la cual desciende del cielo de con mi Dios, y mi nombre nuevo.
13El que tiene oído, oiga lo que el Espíritu dice á las iglesias.
14Y escribe al ángel de la iglesia en LAODICEA: He aquí dice el Amén, el testigo fiel y verdadero, el principio de la creación de Dios:
15Yo conozco tus obras, que ni eres frío, ni caliente. ¡Ojalá fueses frío, ó caliente!
16Mas porque eres tibio, y no frío ni caliente, te vomitaré de mi boca.
17Porque tú dices: Yo soy rico, y estoy enriquecido, y no tengo necesidad de ninguna cosa; y no conoces que tú eres un cuitado y miserable y pobre y ciego y desnudo;
18Yo te amonesto que de mí compres oro afinado en fuego, para que seas hecho rico, y seas vestido de vestiduras blancas, para que no se descubra la vergüenza de tu desnudez; y unge tus ojos con colirio, para que veas.
19Yo reprendo y castigo á todos los que amo: sé pues celoso, y arrepiéntete.
20He aquí, yo estoy á la puerta y llamo: si alguno oyere mi voz y abriere la puerta, entraré á él, y cenaré con él, y él conmigo.
21Al que venciere, yo le daré que se siente conmigo en mi trono; así como yo he vencido, y me he sentado con mi Padre en su trono.

1And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write; These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead.
2Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.
3Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
4Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in white: for they are worthy.
5He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
6He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
7And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
8I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.
9Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
10Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
11Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
12Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
13He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
14And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
16So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
17Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:
18I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
20Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
21To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
22He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
World English Bible
1“And to the angel of the assembly in Sardis write: “He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars says these things: “I know your works, that you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead.
2Wake up and strengthen the things that remain, which you were about to throw away, for I have found no works of yours perfected before my God.
3Remember therefore how you have received and heard. Keep it and repent. If therefore you won’t watch, I will come as a thief, and you won’t know what hour I will come upon you.
4Nevertheless you have a few names in Sardis that didn’t defile their garments. They will walk with me in white, for they are worthy.
5He who overcomes will be arrayed in white garments, and I will in no way blot his name out of the book of life, and I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
6He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.
7“To the angel of the assembly in Philadelphia write: “He who is holy, he who is true, he who has the key of David, he who opens and no one can shut, and who shuts and no one opens, says these things:
8“I know your works (behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one can shut), that you have a little power, and kept my word, and didn’t deny my name.
9Behold, I make some of the synagogue of Satan, of those who say they are Jews, and they are not, but lie—behold, I will make them to come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.
10Because you kept my command to endure, I also will keep you from the hour of testing which is to come on the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.
11I am coming quickly! Hold firmly that which you have, so that no one takes your crown.
12He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will go out from there no more. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God, and my own new name.
13He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.

15“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot.
16So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth.
17Because you say, ‘I am rich, and have gotten riches, and have need of nothing,’ and don’t know that you are the wretched one, miserable, poor, blind, and naked;
18I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, that you may become rich; and white garments, that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes, that you may see.
19As many as I love, I reprove and chasten. Be zealous therefore, and repent.
20Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with me.
21He who overcomes, I will give to him to sit down with me on my throne, as I also overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne.
22He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.”
