1Mas nós, que somos fortes, devemos suportar as fraquezas dos fracos, e não agradar a nós mesmos.
2Portanto, cada um de nós agrade ao próximo no que é bom para a edificação.
3Pois também Cristo não agradou a si mesmo; mas, como está escrito: “Os insultos dos que te insultavam caíram sobre mim”. Salmos 69:9
4Pois todas as coisas que foram escritas com antecedência foram escritas para o nosso ensino; para que, pela paciência e consolação das Escrituras, tenhamos esperança.
5O Deus da paciência e da consolação vos dê a mesma mentalidade uns para com os outros, segundo Cristo Jesus,
6a fim de que, em comum acordo, como uma só boca, glorifiqueis ao Deus e Pai de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo.
7Portanto, recebei uns aos outros, assim como também Cristo nos recebeu para a glória de Deus.
8E digo que Jesus Cristo se tornou servidor da circuncisão por causa da verdade de Deus, para confirmar as promessas feitas aos patriarcas;
9e para que os gentios glorifiquem a Deus por causa de sua misericórdia, como está escrito: “Por isso entre os gentios te confessarei, e ao teu nome cantarei.” 2 Samuel 22:50; Salmos 18:49
10E outra vez diz: “Alegrai-vos, gentios, com o povo dele.” Deuteronômio 32:43
11E outra vez: “Louvai ao Senhor todas as nações, e celebrai-o todos os povos.” Salmos 117:1
12E outra vez Isaías diz: “Haverá a raiz de Jessé, e aquele que se levantará para governar as nações; nele os gentios esperarão.” Isaías 11:10
13O Deus da esperança vos encha de toda alegria e paz na fé, para que abundeis em esperança no poder do Espírito Santo.
14Porém, meus irmãos, convencido estou acerca de vós de que também estais cheios de bondade, plenos de todo conhecimento, e capazes de também aconselhardes uns aos outros.
15Mas, irmãos, em parte vos escrevi com mais ousadia, como que para vos relembrar, por causa da graça que me foi dada por Deus,
16a fim de que eu seja um servidor de Jesus Cristo entre os gentios, ministrando o evangelho de Deus, para que a oferta dos gentios seja agradável, santificada pelo Espírito Santo.
17Assim eu me orgulho em Jesus Cristo das coisas relacionadas a Deus,
18Pois eu não ousaria falar coisa alguma, a não ser o que Cristo fez por meio de mim, para tornar os gentios obedientes, por meio da palavra e da obra,
19com poder de sinais e milagres, no poder do Espíritode Deus; de maneira que desde Jerusalém e redondezas até Ilírico, cumpri a pregação do Evangelho de Cristo.
20E assim quis muito anunciar o Evangelho onde Cristo não houvesse sido pregado, para que eu não construísse sobre fundamento alheio;
21ao contrário, como está escrito: “Aqueles a quem dele não foi anunciado o verão; e os que não ouviram entenderão.” Isaías 52:15
22Por isso também muitas vezes tenho sido impedido de ir até vós.
23Mas agora, como nessas regiões não há mais lugar em que eu precise trabalhar, e já por muitos anos tive grande desejo de ir até vós,
24quando eu for para a Espanha pois espero vos ver no caminho, e receber ajuda de vossa parte para a viagem, depois de primeiramente ficar um tempo satisfazendo o desejo de estar convosco.
25Mas por ora, vou a Jerusalém, a fim de auxiliar os santos.
26Pois, aos da Macedônia e Acaia pareceu bem fazer uma contribuição para os pobres dentre os santos que estão em Jerusalém.
27Isso lhes pareceu bem, como quem está em dívida para com eles; porque, se os gentios foram participantes dos seus bens espirituais, devem também ajudá-los com os materiais.
28Assim que eu concluir isso, e garantir a entrega desse fruto a eles, partirei para a Espanha passando para vos visitar.
29E sei que, quando chegar até vós, virei com a plenitude da bênção do Evangelho de Cristo.
30Rogo-vos, porém, irmãos, pelo nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo, e pelo amor do Espírito, que luteis comigo em orações a Deus por mim,
31para que eu esteja livre dos rebeldes na Judeia, e que este meu serviço em Jerusalém seja bem aceito pelos santos,
32a fim de que eu possa chegar até vós com alegria, pela vontade de Deus, e que eu possa descansar convosco.
33E o Deus da paz esteja com todos vós. Amém!

1ASÍ que, los que somos más firmes debemos sobrellevar las flaquezas de los flacos, y no agradarnos á nosotros mismos.
2Cada uno de nosotros agrade á su prójimo en bien, á edificación.
3Porque Cristo no se agradó á sí mismo; antes bien, como está escrito: Los vituperios de los que te vituperan, cayeron sobre mí.
4Porque las cosas que antes fueron escritas, para nuestra enseñanza fueron escritas; para que por la paciencia, y por la consolación de las Escrituras, tengamos esperanza.
5Mas el Dios de la paciencia y de la consolación os dé que entre vosotros seáis unánimes según Cristo Jesús;
6Para que concordes, á una boca glorifiquéis al Dios y Padre de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.
7Por tanto, sobrellevaos los unos á los otros, como también Cristo nos sobrellevó, para gloria de Dios.
8Digo, pues, que Cristo Jesús fué hecho ministro de la circuncisión por la verdad de Dios, para confirmar las promesas hechas á los padres,
9Y para que los Gentiles glorifiquen á Dios por la misericordia; como está escrito: Por tanto yo te confesaré entre los Gentiles, y cantaré á tu nombre.
10Y otra vez dice: Alegraos, Gentiles, con su pueblo.
11Y otra vez: Alabad al Señor todos los Gentiles, y magnificadle, todos los pueblos.
12Y otra vez, dice Isaías: Estará la raíz de Jessé, y el que se levantará á regir los Gentiles: los Gentiles esperarán en él.
13Y el Dios de esperanza os llene de todo gozo y paz creyendo, para que abundéis en esperanza por la virtud del Espíritu Santo.
14Empero cierto estoy yo de vosotros, hermanos míos, que aun vosotros mismos estáis llenos de bondad, llenos de todo conocimiento, de tal manera que podáis amonestaros los unos á los otros.
15Mas os he escrito, hermanos, en parte resueltamente, como amonestándoos por la gracia que de Dios me es dada,
16Para ser ministro de Jesucristo á los Gentiles, ministrando el evangelio de Dios, para que la ofrenda de los Gentiles sea agradable, santificada por el Espíritu Santo.
17Tengo, pues, de qué gloriarme en Cristo Jesús en lo que mira á Dios.
18Porque no osaría hablar alguna cosa que Cristo no haya hecho por mí para la obediencia de los Gentiles, con la palabra y con las obras,
19Con potencia de milagros y prodigios, en virtud del Espíritu de Dios: de manera que desde Jerusalem, y por los alrededores hasta Ilírico, he llenado todo del evangelio de Cristo.
20Y de esta manera me esforcé á predicar el evangelio, no donde antes Cristo fuese nombrado, por no edificar sobre ajeno fundamento:
21Sino, como está escrito: A los que no fué anunciado de él, verán: y los que no oyeron, entenderán.
22Por lo cual aun he sido impedido muchas veces de venir á vosotros.
23Mas ahora no teniendo más lugar en estas regiones, y deseando ir á vosotros muchos años há,
24Cuando partiere para España, iré á vosotros; porque espero que pasando os veré, y que seré llevado de vosotros allá, si empero antes hubiere gozado de vosotros.
25Mas ahora parto para Jerusalem á ministrar á los santos.
26Porque Macedonia y Acaya tuvieron por bien hacer una colecta para los pobres de los santos que están en Jerusalem.
27Porque les pareció bueno, y son deudores á ellos: porque si los Gentiles han sido hechos participantes de sus bienes espirituales, deben también ellos servirles en los carnales.
28Así que, cuando hubiere concluído esto, y les hubiere consignado este fruto, pasaré por vosotros á España.
29Y sé que cuando llegue á vosotros, llegaré con abundancia de la bendición del evangelio de Cristo.
30Ruégoos empero, hermanos, por el Señor nuestro Jesucristo, y por la caridad del Espíritu, que me ayudéis con oraciones por mí á Dios,
31Que sea librado de los rebeldes que están en Judea, y que la ofrenda de mi servicio á los santos en Jerusalem sea acepta;
32Para que con gozo llegue á vosotros por la voluntad de Dios, y que sea recreado juntamente con vosotros.
33Y el Dios de paz sea con todos vosotros. Amén.

1We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.
2Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.
3For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me.
4For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
5Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:
6That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God.
8Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers:
9And that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name.
10And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people.
11And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people.
12And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust.
13Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
14And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another.
15Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God,
16That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost.
17I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.
18For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,
19Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ.
20Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man’s foundation:
21But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand.
22For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you.
23But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great desire these many years to come unto you;
24Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.
25But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.
26For it hath pleased them of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor saints which are at Jerusalem.
27It hath pleased them verily; and their debtors they are. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, their duty is also to minister unto them in carnal things.
28When therefore I have performed this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will come by you into Spain.
29And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.
30Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye strive together with me in your prayers to God for me;
31That I may be delivered from them that do not believe in Judaea; and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be accepted of the saints;
32That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.
33Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
World English Bible
1Now we who are strong ought to bear the weaknesses of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

4For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, that through perseverance and through encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.
5Now the God of perseverance and of encouragement grant you to be of the same mind with one another according to Christ Jesus,
6that with one accord you may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
7Therefore accept one another, even as Christ also accepted you, to the glory of God.
8Now I say that Christ has been made a servant of the circumcision for the truth of God, that he might confirm the promises given to the fathers,
9and that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written, “Therefore I will give praise to you among the Gentiles and sing to your name.”
10Again he says, “Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people.”
11Again, “Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles! Let all the peoples praise him.”
12Again, Isaiah says, “There will be the root of Jesse, he who arises to rule over the Gentiles; in him the Gentiles will hope.”

14I myself am also persuaded about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish others.
15But I write the more boldly to you in part as reminding you, because of the grace that was given to me by God,
16that I should be a servant of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles, serving as a priest of the Good News of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be made acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit.
17I have therefore my boasting in Christ Jesus in things pertaining to God.
18For I will not dare to speak of any things except those which Christ worked through me for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and deed,
19in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of God’s Spirit; so that from Jerusalem and around as far as to Illyricum, I have fully preached the Good News of Christ;
20yes, making it my aim to preach the Good News, not where Christ was already named, that I might not build on another’s foundation.
21But, as it is written, “They will see, to whom no news of him came. They who haven’t heard will understand.”
22Therefore also I was hindered these many times from coming to you,
23but now, no longer having any place in these regions, and having these many years a longing to come to you,
24whenever I travel to Spain, I will come to you. For I hope to see you on my journey, and to be helped on my way there by you, if first I may enjoy your company for a while.
25But now, I say, I am going to Jerusalem, serving the saints.
26For it has been the good pleasure of Macedonia and Achaia to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints who are at Jerusalem.
27Yes, it has been their good pleasure, and they are their debtors. For if the Gentiles have been made partakers of their spiritual things, they owe it to them also to serve them in material things.
28When therefore I have accomplished this, and have sealed to them this fruit, I will go on by way of you to Spain.
29I know that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness of the blessing of the Good News of Christ.
30Now I beg you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, that you strive together with me in your prayers to God for me,
31that I may be delivered from those who are disobedient in Judea, and that my service which I have for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints,
32that I may come to you in joy through the will of God, and together with you, find rest.
33Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
