Ich empfehle euch unsere Schwester Phöbe, welche ist im Dienste der Gemeinde in Kenchreä,

ENCOMIÉNDOOS empero á Febe nuestra hermana, la cual es diaconisa de la iglesia que está en Cencreas:

I commend unto you Phebe our sister, which is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea:

I commend to you Phoebe, our sister, who is a servant of the assembly that is at Cenchreae,

Daß ihr sie aufnehmt im Herren, so wie es Heiligen geziemt, und ihr beisteht in allem, worin sie eurer Hilfe bedarf; denn sie hat vielen und auch mir Fürsorge geleistet.

Que la recibáis en el Señor, como es digno á los santos, y que la ayudéis en cualquiera cosa en que os hubiere menester: porque ella ha ayudado á muchos, y á mí mismo.

That ye receive her in the Lord, as becometh saints, and that ye assist her in whatsoever business she hath need of you: for she hath been a succourer of many, and of myself also.

that you receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints, and that you assist her in whatever matter she may need from you, for she herself also has been a helper of many, and of my own self.

Ich ermahne euch, Brüder, daß ihr ein Auge habt auf die, so da Spaltungen und Ärgernis wider die Lehre anrichten, die ihr gelernt habt; und kehrt euch ab von ihnen.

Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Porque los tales no sirven al Señor nuestro Jesucristo, sino á sus vientres; y con suaves palabras y bendiciones engañan los corazones de los simples.

For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Denn euer Gehorsam ist allen zu Ohren gekommen, darum freue ich mich euer; ich wünsche aber, daß ihr weise seid zum Guten, wie ihr lauter seid in bezug auf das Böse.

Dem aber, Der euch befestigen kann kraft meines Evangeliums und der Predigt von Jesus Christus, durch die Offenbarung des Geheimnisses, das ewige Zeiten verschwiegen geblieben,

But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith:
