Pablo, siervo de Jesu Cristo, llamado a ser apóstol, apartado para el evangelio de Dios,

Que él había antes prometido, por sus profetas en las Santas Escrituras,

De su Hijo Jesu Cristo, Señor nuestro, (el cual fue hecho de la simiente de David según la carne,

And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Por el cual recibimos la gracia y el apostolado, para hacer que se obedezca a la fe en todas las naciones, en su nombre:

By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

Primeramente, doy gracias a mi Dios por Jesu Cristo acerca de todos vosotros, de que se habla de vuestra fe por todo el mundo.

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

Porque testigo me es Dios, al cual sirvo en mi espíritu en el evangelio de su Hijo, que sin cesar me acuerdo de vosotros siempre en mis oraciones;

Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

Porque deseo en gran manera veros, para repartir con vosotros algún don espiritual, a fin de que seáis confirmados;

That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

Mas no quiero, hermanos, que ignoréis, que muchas veces me he propuesto de venir a vosotros, (empero hasta ahora he sido estorbado,) para tener también entre vosotros algún fruto, como entre los otros Gentiles.

A Griegos y a bárbaros, a sabios y a ignorantes soy deudor.

I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

Así que, en cuanto está en mí, pronto estoy a anunciar el evangelio también a los que estáis en Roma.

So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

Porque no me avergüenzo del evangelio de Cristo; porque es poder de Dios para salvación a todo aquel que cree: al Judío primeramente, y también al Griego.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Porque en él la justicia de Dios se descubre de fe en fe, como está escrito: El justo vivirá por la fe.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

¶ Porque se manifiesta la ira de Dios desde el cielo contra toda impiedad e injusticia de los hombres, que detienen la verdad con injusticia:

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

Porque lo que de Dios se puede conocer, en ellos es manifiesto; porque Dios se lo ha manifestado.

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

Porque las cosas invisibles de él, entendidas son desde la creación del mundo, por medio de las cosas que son hechas, se ven claramente, es a saber, su eterno poder y divinidad, para que queden sin excusa.

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

Porque habiendo conocido a Dios, no le glorificaron como a Dios, ni le dieron gracias: antes se desvanecieron en sus discursos, y el tonto corazón de ellos fue entenebrecido:

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened.

Que diciéndose ser sabios, fueron hechos insensatos;

Y trocaron la gloria del Dios incorruptible en semejanza de imagen de hombre corruptible, y de aves, y de animales de cuatro pies, y de reptiles.

Por lo cual Dios también los entregó a la inmundicia, según las concupiscencias de sus corazones, para que deshonrasen sus cuerpos entre sí:

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Que mudaron la verdad de Dios en mentira, y honraron y sirvieron a la criatura antes que al Creador, el cual es bendito por los siglos. Amén.

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Por lo cual Dios los entregó a afectos vergonzosos; porque aun sus mujeres mudaron el natural uso, en el uso que es contra naturaleza.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

Y asimismo, los varones, dejado el uso natural de la mujer, se encendieron en sus concupiscencias los unos con los otros, cometiendo torpezas varones con varones, y recibiendo en sí mismos la recompensa de su error que convino.

Y del mismo modo también los hombres, dejando el uso natural de las mujeres, se encendieron en sus concupiscencias los unos con los otros, cometiendo cosas nefandas hombres con hombres, y recibiendo en sí mismos la recompensa que convino á su extravío.

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Y como a ellos no les pareció bien tener a Dios en su conocimiento, Dios también los entregó a un perverso entendimiento, para que hiciesen lo que no conviene;

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Atestados de toda iniquidad, de fornicación, de malicia, de avaricia, de maldad: llenos de envidia, de homicidios, de contiendas, de engaños, de malignidades:

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits, secret slanderers,

Murmuradores, detractores, aborrecedores de Dios, injuriosos, soberbios, altivos, inventores de males, desobedientes a sus padres,

Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

Insensatos, desleales, sin afecto natural, implacables, sin misericordia:

Necios, desleales, sin afecto natural, implacables, sin misericordia:

Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful;

Los cuales, entendiendo la justicia de Dios, a saber, que los que hacen tales cosas son dignos de muerte; no solamente las hacen, mas aun se complacen con los que las hacen.

Que, habiendo entendido el juicio de Dios que los que hacen tales cosas son dignos de muerte, no sólo las hacen, mas aun consienten á los que las hacen.

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

who, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.
