Pablo, siervo de Jesucristo, apóstol por vocación divina, escogido para predicar la buena nueva de Dios,

PABLO, siervo de Jesucristo, llamado á ser apóstol, apartado para el evangelio de Dios,

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,

buena nueva que el mismo Dios había prometido anteriormente por sus profetas en las santas Escrituras,

Que él había antes prometido por sus profetas en las santas Escrituras,

(Which he had promised afore by his prophets in the holy scriptures,)

which he promised before through his prophets in the holy Scriptures,

acerca de su Hijo Jesucristo nuestro Señor, que le nació según la carne del linaje de David,

Concerning his Son Jesus Christ our Lord, which was made of the seed of David according to the flesh;

y que fue predestinado para ser Hijo de Dios con soberano poder, según el espíritu de santificación por su resurrección de entre los muertos,

El cual fué declarado Hijo de Dios con potencia, según el espíritu de santidad, por la resurrección de los muertos), de Jesucristo Señor nuestro,

And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

por el cual nosotros hemos recibido la gracia y el apostolado para someter a la fe por la virtud de su nombre a todas las naciones,

Por el cual recibimos la gracia y el apostolado, para la obediencia de la fe en todas las naciones en su nombre,

By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience to the faith among all nations, for his name:

through whom we received grace and apostleship for obedience of faith among all the nations for his name’s sake;

entre las cuales sois también contados vosotros, llamados a ella por Jesucristo.

A todos aquellos que estáis en Roma, que sois amados de Dios, y santos por vuestra vocación, gracia y paz de parte de Dios nuestro Padre y de nuestro Señor Jesucristo.

Primero yo doy gracias a mi Dios por medio de Jesucristo acerca de todos vosotros, de que vuestra fe es celebrada por todo el mundo.

First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

Dios, a quien sirvo con todo mi espíritu en la predicación de la buena nueva de su Hijo, es mi testigo de que continuamente hago memoria de vosotros,

Porque testigo me es Dios, al cual sirvo en mi espíritu en el evangelio de su Hijo, que sin cesar me acuerdo de vosotros siempre en mis oraciones,

For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers;

pidiéndole siempre en mis oraciones que, si es de su voluntad, me abra finalmente algún camino favorable para ir a veros.

Rogando, si al fin algún tiempo haya de tener, por la voluntad de Dios, próspero viaje para ir á vosotros.

Making request, if by any means now at length I might have a prosperous journey by the will of God to come unto you.

requesting, if by any means now at last I may be prospered by the will of God to come to you.

Porque tengo muchos deseos de ello, a fin de comunicaros alguna gracia espiritual con la que seáis fortalecidos,

Porque os deseo ver, para repartir con vosotros algún don espiritual, para confirmaros;

For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established;

quiero decir, para que hallándome entre vosotros podamos consolarnos mutuamente los unos a los otros, por medio de la fe, que es común a vosotros y a mí.

Es á saber, para ser juntamente consolado con vosotros por la común fe vuestra y juntamente mía.

That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me.

Mas no quiero, hermanos, que dejéis de saber, que muchas veces he propuesto hacer este viaje, para lograr también entre vosotros algún fruto, así como entre las demás naciones; pero hasta ahora no me ha sido posible.

Mas no quiero, hermanos, que ignoréis que muchas veces me he propuesto ir á vosotros (empero hasta ahora he sido estorbado), para tener también entre vosotros algún fruto, como entre los demás Gentiles.

Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.

Now I don’t desire to have you unaware, brothers, that I often planned to come to you (and was hindered so far), that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among the rest of the Gentiles.

Deudor soy igualmente a griegos y a bárbaros, a sabios y a ignorantes.

A Griegos y á bárbaros, á sabios y á no sabios soy deudor.

I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise.

I am debtor both to Greeks and to foreigners, both to the wise and to the foolish.

Así (por lo que a mí toca) pronto estoy a predicar la buena nueva también a los que vivís en Roma,

Así que, cuanto á mí, presto estoy á anunciar el evangelio también á vosotros que estáis en Roma.

So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.

So as much as is in me, I am eager to preach the Good News to you also who are in Rome.

que no me avergüenzo yo de la buena nueva, siendo él como es la virtud de Dios para salvar a todos los que creen, a los judíos primero, y después a los gentiles.

Porque no me avergüenzo del evangelio: porque es potencia de Dios para salud á todo aquel que cree; al Judío primeramente y también al Griego.

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

For I am not ashamed of the Good News of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first, and also for the Greek.

Y en la buena nueva es en donde se nos ha revelado la justicia que viene de Dios la cual nace de la fe, y se perfecciona en la fe, según aquello que está escrito: El justo vive por la fe.

Porque en él la justicia de Dios se descubre de fe en fe; como está escrito: Mas el justo vivirá por la fe.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

For in it is revealed God’s righteousness from faith to faith. As it is written, “But the righteous shall live by faith.”

Se descubre también en él la ira de Dios que descargará del cielo sobre toda la impiedad e injusticia de aquellos hombres, que tienen aprisionada injustamente la verdad de Dios;

Porque manifiesta es la ira de Dios del cielo contra toda impiedad é injusticia de los hombres, que detienen la verdad con injusticia:

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,

puesto que ellos han conocido claramente lo que se puede conocer de Dios, porque Dios se lo ha manifestado.

Porque lo que de Dios se conoce, á ellos es manifiesto; porque Dios se lo manifestó.

Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

because that which is known of God is revealed in them, for God revealed it to them.

En efecto, las perfecciones invisibles de Dios, aun su eterno poder y su divinidad, se han hecho visibles después de la creación del mundo, por el conocimiento que de ellas nos dan sus criaturas; y así tales hombres no tienen disculpa;

Porque las cosas invisibles de él, su eterna potencia y divinidad, se echan de ver desde la creación del mundo, siendo entendidas por las cosas que son hechas; de modo que son inexcusables:

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity, that they may be without excuse.

porque habiendo conocido a Dios, no le glorificaron como a Dios, ni le dieron gracias; sino que ensoberbecidos devanearon en sus discursos, y quedó su insensato corazón lleno de tinieblas;

Porque habiendo conocido á Dios, no le glorificaron como á Dios, ni dieron gracias; antes se desvanecieron en sus discursos, y el necio corazón de ellos fué entenebrecido.

Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Because knowing God, they didn’t glorify him as God, and didn’t give thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened.

y mientras se jactaban de sabios, fueron unos necios,

Diciéndose ser sabios, se hicieron fatuos,

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

hasta llegar a transferir a un simulacro en imagen de hombre corruptible, y a figuras de aves, y de bestias cuadrúpedas, y de serpientes, el honor debido solamente a Dios incorruptible o inmortal.

Y trocaron la gloria del Dios incorruptible en semejanza de imagen de hombre corruptible, y de aves, y de animales de cuatro pies, y de serpientes.

And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

and traded the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, four-footed animals, and creeping things.

Por lo cual, Dios los abandonó a los deseos de su depravado corazón, a los vicios de la impureza, en tanto grado que deshonraron ellos mismos sus propios cuerpos;

Por lo cual también Dios los entregó á inmundicia, en las concupiscencias de sus corazones, de suerte que contaminaron sus cuerpos entre sí mismos:

Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Therefore God also gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves;

ellos que habían colocado la mentira en el lugar de la verdad de Dios, dando culto y sirviendo a las criaturas en lugar de adorar al Creador, solamente el cual es digno de ser bendito por todos los siglos. Amén.

Los cuales mudaron la verdad de Dios en mentira, honrando y sirviendo á las criaturas antes que al Criador, el cual es bendito por los siglos. Amén.

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Por eso los entregó Dios a pasiones infames. Pues sus mismas mujeres invirtieron el uso natural, en el que es contrario a la naturaleza.

Por esto Dios los entregó á afectos vergonzosos; pues aun sus mujeres mudaron el natural uso en el uso que es contra naturaleza:

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

For this reason, God gave them up to vile passions. For their women changed the natural function into that which is against nature.

Del mismo modo también los varones, desechando el uso natural de la mujer, se abrasaron en amores brutales de unos con otros, cometiendo torpezas nefandas varones con varones, y recibiendo en sí mismo la paga merecida de su obcecación.

Y del mismo modo también los hombres, dejando el uso natural de las mujeres, se encendieron en sus concupiscencias los unos con los otros, cometiendo cosas nefandas hombres con hombres, y recibiendo en sí mismos la recompensa que convino á su extravío.

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

Likewise also the men, leaving the natural function of the woman, burned in their lust toward one another, men doing what is inappropriate with men, and receiving in themselves the due penalty of their error.

Pues como no quisieron reconocer a Dios, Dios los entregó a un réprobo sentido, de suerte que han hecho acciones indignas del hombre,

Y como á ellos no les pareció tener á Dios en su noticia, Dios los entregó á una mente depravada, para hacer lo que no conviene,

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

quedando atestados de toda suerte de iniquidad, de malicia, de fornicación, de avaricia, de perversidad; llenos de envidia, homicidas, pendencieros, fraudulentos, malignos, chismosos,

Estando atestados de toda iniquidad, de fornicación, de malicia, de avaricia, de maldad; llenos de envidia, de homicidios, de contiendas, de engaños, de malignidades;

Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, malice; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil habits, secret slanderers,

infamadores, enemigos de Dios, ultrajadores, soberbios, altaneros, inventores de vicios, desobedientes a sus padres,

Murmuradores, detractores, aborrecedores de Dios, injuriosos, soberbios, altivos, inventores de males, desobedientes á los padres,

Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

irracionales, desgarrados, desamorados, desleales, despiadados,

Necios, desleales, sin afecto natural, implacables, sin misericordia:

Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, unforgiving, unmerciful;

los cuales en medio de haber conocido la justicia de Dios, no echaron de ver, que los que hacen tales cosas, son dignos de muerte eterna, y no sólo los que las hacen, sino también los que aprueban a los que las hacen.

Que, habiendo entendido el juicio de Dios que los que hacen tales cosas son dignos de muerte, no sólo las hacen, mas aun consienten á los que las hacen.

Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

who, knowing the ordinance of God, that those who practice such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them.
