Mas a Lei entrou para que a transgressão abundasse. Entretanto, onde o pecado abundou, a graça abundou ainda mais.

La ley empero entró para que el pecado creciese; mas cuando el pecado creció, sobrepujó la gracia;

Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

The law came in that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly,
