Das Gesetz aber ist daneben hereingekommen, damit das Maß der Sünden voll würde. Wo aber das Maß der Sünde voll geworden ist, da ist die Gnade überfließend geworden,

La ley empero entró para que el pecado creciese; mas cuando el pecado creció, sobrepujó la gracia;

Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

The law came in that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly,
