Romanos 7

Ne savez-vous pas, mes frères (car je parle à ceux qui entendent ce que c’est que la Loi) que la Loi exerce son pouvoir sur l’homme durant tout le temps qu’il est en vie ?

¿IGNORÁIS, hermanos, (porque hablo con los que saben la ley) que la ley se enseñorea del hombre entre tanto que vive?

Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

Or don’t you know, brothers (for I speak to men who know the law), that the law has dominion over a man for as long as he lives?

Car la femme qui est sous la puissance d’un mari, est liée à son mari par la Loi, tandis qu’il est en vie ; mais si son mari meurt, elle est délivrée de la loi du mari.

Porque la mujer que está sujeta á marido, mientras el marido vive está obligada á la ley; mas muerto el marido, libre es de la ley del marido.

For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

For the woman that has a husband is bound by law to the husband while he lives, but if the husband dies, she is discharged from the law of the husband.

Le mari donc étant vivant, si elle épouse un autre mari elle sera appelée adultère ; mais son mari étant mort, elle est délivrée de la Loi ; tellement qu’elle ne sera point adultère si elle épouse un autre mari.

Así que, viviendo el marido, se llamará adúltera si fuere de otro varón; mas si su marido muriere, es libre de la ley; de tal manera que no será adúltera si fuere de otro marido.

So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

So then if, while the husband lives, she is joined to another man, she would be called an adulteress. But if the husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is no adulteress, though she is joined to another man.

Ainsi mes frères, vous êtes aussi morts à la Loi par le corps de Christ, pour être à un autre, savoir à celui qui est ressuscité des morts, afin que nous fructifions à Dieu.

Así también vosotros, hermanos míos, estáis muertos á la ley por el cuerpo de Cristo, para que seáis de otro, á saber, del que resucitó de los muertos, á fin de que fructifiquemos á Dios.

Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might produce fruit to God.

Car quand nous étions en la chair, les affections des péchés étant excitées par la Loi, avaient vigueur en nos membres, pour fructifier à la mort.

Porque mientras estábamos en la carne, los afectos de los pecados que eran por la ley, obraban en nuestros miembros fructificando para muerte.

For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law worked in our members to bring out fruit to death.

Mais maintenant nous sommes délivrés de la Loi, la Loi par laquelle nous étions retenus étant morte ; afin que nous servions Dieu en nouveauté d’esprit, et non point en vieillesse de Lettre.

Mas ahora estamos libres de la ley, habiendo muerto á aquella en la cual estábamos detenidos, para que sirvamos en novedad de espíritu, y no en vejez de letra.

But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.

Que dirons-nous donc ? La Loi est-elle péché ? à Dieu ne plaise ! au contraire je n’ai point connu le péché, sinon par la Loi : car je n’eusse pas connu la convoitise, si la Loi n’eût dit : tu ne convoiteras point.

¿Qué pues diremos? ¿La ley es pecado? En ninguna manera. Empero yo no conocí el pecado sino por la ley: porque tampoco conociera la concupiscencia, si la ley no dijera: No codiciarás.

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”

Mais le péché ayant pris occasion par le commandement, a produit en moi toute sorte de convoitise ; parce que sans la Loi le péché est mort.

Mas el pecado, tomando ocasión, obró en mí por el mandamiento toda concupiscencia: porque sin la ley el pecado está muerto.

But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

But sin, finding occasion through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of coveting. For apart from the law, sin is dead.

Car autrefois que j’étais sans la Loi, je vivais ; mais quand le commandement est venu, le péché a commencé à revivre.

Así que, yo sin la ley vivía por algún tiempo: mas venido el mandamiento, el pecado revivió, y yo morí.

For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

I was alive apart from the law once, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died.

Et moi je suis mort ; et le commandement qui m’était ordonné pour être ma vie, a été trouvé me tourner à mort.

Y hallé que el mandamiento, intimado para vida, para mí era mortal:

And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.

The commandment which was for life, this I found to be for death;

Car le péché prenant occasion du commandement, m’a séduit, et par lui m’a mis à mort.

Porque el pecado, tomando ocasión, me engañó por el mandamiento, y por él me mató.

For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

for sin, finding occasion through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.

La Loi donc est sainte, et le commandement est saint, juste, et bon.

De manera que la ley á la verdad es santa, y el mandamiento santo, y justo, y bueno.

Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy, righteous, and good.

Ce qui est bon, m’est-il devenu mortel ? nullement ! mais le péché, afin qu’il parût péché, m’a causé la mort par le bien ; afin que le péché fût rendu par le commandement excessivement péchant.

¿Luego lo que es bueno, á mí me es hecho muerte? No; sino que el pecado, para mostrarse pecado, por lo bueno me obró la muerte, haciéndose pecado sobremanera pecante por el mandamiento.

Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

Did then that which is good become death to me? May it never be! But sin, that it might be shown to be sin, was producing death in me through that which is good; that through the commandment sin might become exceedingly sinful.

Car nous savons que la Loi est spirituelle ; mais je suis charnel, vendu au péché.

Porque sabemos que la ley es espiritual; mas yo soy carnal, vendido á sujeción del pecado.

For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am fleshly, sold under sin.

Car je n’approuve point ce que je fais, puisque je ne fais point ce que je veux, mais je fais ce que je hais.

Porque lo que hago, no lo entiendo; ni lo que quiero, hago; antes lo que aborrezco, aquello hago.

For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

For I don’t understand what I am doing. For I don’t practice what I desire to do; but what I hate, that I do.

Or si ce que je fais je ne le veux point, je reconnais par cela même que la Loi est bonne.

Y si lo que no quiero, esto hago, apruebo que la ley es buena.

If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

But if what I don’t desire, that I do, I consent to the law that it is good.

Maintenant donc ce n’est plus moi qui fais cela ; mais c’est le péché qui habite en moi.

De manera que ya no obro aquello, sino el pecado que mora en mí.

Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

So now it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.

Car je sais qu’en moi, c’est-à-dire, en ma chair, il n’habite point de bien ; vu que le vouloir est bien attaché à moi, mais je ne trouve pas le moyen d’accomplir le bien.

Y yo sé que en mí (es á saber, en mi carne) no mora el bien: porque tengo el querer, mas efectuar el bien no lo alcanzo.

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don’t find it doing that which is good.

Car je ne fais pas le bien que je veux, mais je fais le mal que je ne veux point.

Porque no hago el bien que quiero; mas el mal que no quiero, éste hago.

For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

For the good which I desire, I don’t do; but the evil which I don’t desire, that I practice.

Or si je fais ce que je ne veux point, ce n’est plus moi qui le fais, mais c’est le péché qui habite en moi.

Y si hago lo que no quiero, ya no lo obro yo, sino el pecado que mora en mí.

Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

But if what I don’t desire, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.

Je trouve donc cette Loi au-dedans de moi, que quand je veux faire le bien, le mal est attaché à moi.

Así que, queriendo yo hacer el bien, hallo esta ley: Que el mal está en mí.

I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

I find then the law that, while I desire to do good, evil is present.

Car je prends bien plaisir à la loi de Dieu quant à l’homme intérieur ;

Porque según el hombre interior, me deleito en la ley de Dios:

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

For I delight in God’s law after the inward person,

Mais je vois dans mes membres une autre loi, qui combat contre la loi de mon entendement, et qui me rend prisonnier à la loi du péché, qui est dans mes membres.

Mas veo otra ley en mis miembros, que se rebela contra la ley de mi espíritu, y que me lleva cautivo á la ley del pecado que está en mis miembros.

But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.

Ha ! misérable que je suis ! qui me délivrera du corps de cette mort ?

¡Miserable hombre de mí! ¿quién me librará del cuerpo de esta muerte?

O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death?

Je rends grâces à Dieu par Jésus-Christ notre Seigneur. Je sers donc moi- même de l’entendement à la Loi de Dieu, mais de la chair, à la loi du péché.

Gracias doy á Dios, por Jesucristo Señor nuestro. Así que, yo mismo con la mente sirvo á la ley de Dios, mas con la carne á la ley del pecado.

I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God’s law, but with the flesh, sin’s law.
