Romanos 7

Oder wisset ihr nicht, Brüder (denn ich rede ja mit Gesetzeskundigen), daß das Gesetz nur so lange über den Menschen herrscht, als er lebt?

¿IGNORÁIS, hermanos, (porque hablo con los que saben la ley) que la ley se enseñorea del hombre entre tanto que vive?

Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?

Or don’t you know, brothers (for I speak to men who know the law), that the law has dominion over a man for as long as he lives?

Denn die verheiratete Frau ist durchs Gesetz an ihren Mann gebunden, solange er lebt; wenn aber der Mann stirbt, so ist sie von dem Gesetz des Mannes befreit.

Porque la mujer que está sujeta á marido, mientras el marido vive está obligada á la ley; mas muerto el marido, libre es de la ley del marido.

For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.

For the woman that has a husband is bound by law to the husband while he lives, but if the husband dies, she is discharged from the law of the husband.

So wird sie nun bei Lebzeiten des Mannes eine Ehebrecherin genannt, wenn sie einem andern Manne zu eigen wird; stirbt aber der Mann, so ist sie vom Gesetze frei, so daß sie keine Ehebrecherin ist, wenn sie einem andern Manne zu eigen wird.

Así que, viviendo el marido, se llamará adúltera si fuere de otro varón; mas si su marido muriere, es libre de la ley; de tal manera que no será adúltera si fuere de otro marido.

So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.

So then if, while the husband lives, she is joined to another man, she would be called an adulteress. But if the husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is no adulteress, though she is joined to another man.

Also seid auch ihr, meine Brüder, dem Gesetze getötet worden durch den Leib Christi, auf daß ihr einem andern angehöret, nämlich dem, der von den Toten auferstanden ist, damit wir Gott Frucht bringen.

Así también vosotros, hermanos míos, estáis muertos á la ley por el cuerpo de Cristo, para que seáis de otro, á saber, del que resucitó de los muertos, á fin de que fructifiquemos á Dios.

Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God.

Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might produce fruit to God.

Denn als wir im Fleische waren, da wirkten die sündlichen Leidenschaften, durch das Gesetz erregt, in unsren Gliedern, um dem Tode Frucht zu bringen.

Porque mientras estábamos en la carne, los afectos de los pecados que eran por la ley, obraban en nuestros miembros fructificando para muerte.

For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law worked in our members to bring out fruit to death.

Nun aber sind wir vom Gesetz frei geworden, da wir dem gestorben sind, worin wir festgehalten wurden, so daß wir dienen im neuen Wesen des Geistes und nicht im alten Wesen des Buchstabens.

Mas ahora estamos libres de la ley, habiendo muerto á aquella en la cual estábamos detenidos, para que sirvamos en novedad de espíritu, y no en vejez de letra.

But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.

Was wollen wir nun sagen? Ist das Gesetz Sünde? Das sei ferne! Aber die Sünde hätte ich nicht erkannt, außer durch das Gesetz; denn von der Lust hätte ich nichts gewußt, wenn das Gesetz nicht gesagt hätte: Laß dich nicht gelüsten!

¿Qué pues diremos? ¿La ley es pecado? En ninguna manera. Empero yo no conocí el pecado sino por la ley: porque tampoco conociera la concupiscencia, si la ley no dijera: No codiciarás.

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.”

Da nahm aber die Sünde einen Anlaß und bewirkte durch das Verbot in mir allerlei Gelüste; denn ohne das Gesetz ist die Sünde tot.

Mas el pecado, tomando ocasión, obró en mí por el mandamiento toda concupiscencia: porque sin la ley el pecado está muerto.

But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

But sin, finding occasion through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of coveting. For apart from the law, sin is dead.

Ich aber lebte, als ich noch ohne Gesetz war; als aber das Gesetz kam, lebte die Sünde auf;

Así que, yo sin la ley vivía por algún tiempo: mas venido el mandamiento, el pecado revivió, y yo morí.

For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

I was alive apart from the law once, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died.

ich aber starb, und das zum Leben gegebene Gesetz erwies sich mir todbringend.

Y hallé que el mandamiento, intimado para vida, para mí era mortal:

And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.

The commandment which was for life, this I found to be for death;

Denn die Sünde nahm einen Anlaß und verführte mich durch das Gebot und tötete mich durch dasselbe.

Porque el pecado, tomando ocasión, me engañó por el mandamiento, y por él me mató.

For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.

for sin, finding occasion through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.

So ist nun das Gesetz heilig, und das Gebot ist heilig, gerecht und gut!

De manera que la ley á la verdad es santa, y el mandamiento santo, y justo, y bueno.

Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.

Therefore the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy, righteous, and good.

Gereichte nun das Gute mir zum Tode? Das sei ferne! Sondern die Sünde, damit sie als Sünde erscheine, hat mir durch das Gute den Tod bewirkt, auf daß die Sünde überaus sündig würde durch das Gebot.

¿Luego lo que es bueno, á mí me es hecho muerte? No; sino que el pecado, para mostrarse pecado, por lo bueno me obró la muerte, haciéndose pecado sobremanera pecante por el mandamiento.

Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

Did then that which is good become death to me? May it never be! But sin, that it might be shown to be sin, was producing death in me through that which is good; that through the commandment sin might become exceedingly sinful.

Denn wir wissen, daß das Gesetz geistlich ist; ich aber bin fleischlich, unter die Sünde verkauft.

Porque sabemos que la ley es espiritual; mas yo soy carnal, vendido á sujeción del pecado.

For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am fleshly, sold under sin.

Denn was ich vollbringe, billige ich nicht; denn ich tue nicht, was ich will, sondern was ich hasse, das übe ich aus.

Porque lo que hago, no lo entiendo; ni lo que quiero, hago; antes lo que aborrezco, aquello hago.

For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.

For I don’t understand what I am doing. For I don’t practice what I desire to do; but what I hate, that I do.

Wenn ich aber das tue, was ich nicht will, so stimme ich dem Gesetz bei, daß es trefflich ist.

Y si lo que no quiero, esto hago, apruebo que la ley es buena.

If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.

But if what I don’t desire, that I do, I consent to the law that it is good.

Nun aber vollbringe nicht mehr ich dasselbe, sondern die Sünde, die in mir wohnt.

De manera que ya no obro aquello, sino el pecado que mora en mí.

Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

So now it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.

Denn ich weiß, daß in mir, das ist in meinem Fleische, nichts Gutes wohnt; das Wollen ist zwar bei mir vorhanden, aber das Vollbringen des Guten gelingt mir nicht!

Y yo sé que en mí (es á saber, en mi carne) no mora el bien: porque tengo el querer, mas efectuar el bien no lo alcanzo.

For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don’t find it doing that which is good.

Denn nicht das Gute, das ich will, tue ich, sondern das Böse, das ich nicht will, übe ich aus.

Porque no hago el bien que quiero; mas el mal que no quiero, éste hago.

For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.

For the good which I desire, I don’t do; but the evil which I don’t desire, that I practice.

Wenn ich aber das tue, was ich nicht will, so vollbringe nicht mehr ich dasselbe, sondern die Sünde, die in mir wohnt.

Y si hago lo que no quiero, ya no lo obro yo, sino el pecado que mora en mí.

Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.

But if what I don’t desire, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.

Ich finde also das Gesetz vor, wonach mir, der ich das Gute tun will, das Böse anhängt.

Así que, queriendo yo hacer el bien, hallo esta ley: Que el mal está en mí.

I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

I find then the law that, while I desire to do good, evil is present.

Denn ich habe Lust an dem Gesetz Gottes nach dem inwendigen Menschen;

Porque según el hombre interior, me deleito en la ley de Dios:

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:

For I delight in God’s law after the inward person,

ich sehe aber ein anderes Gesetz in meinen Gliedern, das dem Gesetz meiner Vernunft widerstreitet und mich gefangen nimmt in dem Gesetz der Sünde, das in meinen Gliedern ist.

Mas veo otra ley en mis miembros, que se rebela contra la ley de mi espíritu, y que me lleva cautivo á la ley del pecado que está en mis miembros.

But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.

Ich elender Mensch! Wer wird mich erlösen von diesem Todesleib?

¡Miserable hombre de mí! ¿quién me librará del cuerpo de esta muerte?

O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death?

Ich danke Gott durch Jesus Christus, unsren Herrn! So diene nun ich selbst mit der Vernunft dem Gesetz Gottes, mit dem Fleische aber dem Gesetz der Sünde.

Gracias doy á Dios, por Jesucristo Señor nuestro. Así que, yo mismo con la mente sirvo á la ley de Dios, mas con la carne á la ley del pecado.

I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God’s law, but with the flesh, sin’s law.
